How exactly? When renewables became more efficient and profitable we switched to them rapidly, under capitalism we are becoming greener quickly. I don't buy this capitalist doomerism at all tbh, it's annoying. There are capitalist countries with almost 100% renewable energy production like Iceland and there are capitalist countries with net negative emissions. The USA has had declining greenhouse gas output for a couple decades now.
@@Betweoxwitegan "green capitalism" is still capitalism. the small percentage of owners still rule over the workers. the only way to address the climate crisis is to move away from a for-profit economic system to a worker-owned democratically organized model where workers democratically decide whether or not to implement polluting machines in the places where they work near the places where they live.
Fantastic panel discussion. I'd like to learn more about what an international movement looks like. Is this things like an international labor groups? What else? Can someone maybe say more words to help describe what an international movement looks like? Thanks.
I don't know how someone who starts by answering the question of what's wrong with the world by directly stating "capitalism", and then proceeding to show the ways in which it causes those issues, can be called a liberal.
"Green Capitalism" is an oxymoron.
Like "military intelligence".

@@scoreymjp That's just not true though
Fantastic panel and great questions. Thanks for putting this together.
Economics is not a true discipline. It is merely a way to justify Capitalism.

Hint. It's f*cked.
It has no future.
