May and June are the rainy season in Taiwan. There will be sudden heavy rain at noon, but usually the rain will stop after two or three hours. Before traveling to Taiwan, you must first understand the weather conditions. After all, this is a small island with various terrains and located in the subtropics.
Taiwan is really hot and humid in summer, and the temperature is often as high as 33 °C . Because it is surrounded by the ocean, and just on the Tropic of Cancer .
It's been a really tough trip. But after a while, I'm sure it will become a good memory. I wondered, why was the sprinkler watering when it was raining so hard? Bill and Heather were so unlucky. Bamboo has a very strong vitality. There is a record that bamboo grows 121 cm in one day. Even if you cut a bamboo tree, if you don't cut down to the roots, bamboo will grow quickly. However, bamboo can be used to make various tools, and bamboo shoots are edible(in China and Japan).
We wondered why the sprinklers were going off in the rain as well! It was a steady rain by the time we reached that part. At least it provided some funny moments while hiking. 😂😂
Really love your channel and the micro stories in each video! So much more in-depth and well-researched than other travel videos to Taiwan that just shows the typical nightmarkets / jiufen. Can tell you did your homework! Don't know how much longer you got in Taiwan, but happy to share / show more raw / off the beaten path stuff if you're interested! :)
Take some tea home. We always do. Alishan high-mountain dong-ding tea. Great gifts. Especially with a tea set and the method of the traditional ceremony and ritual.
Hahaha, definitely wet tea fields. 😂😂 (Why were they watering in the rain?!) We used public transport! Bus and train, but sometimes we rent bikes or maybe a car for a day.
Thank you for this very helpful coverage of the hike. You've inspired me to do it! Wondering where you stayed while you were there and if you would recommend it.
You might not know it. I am not kidding. Taiwan produces the best teas in the world, much better than Japan, Sri Lanka, India and China; not merely due to plantation, but due to exceptional skill in producing them. Taiwan teas are expensive in the world market, but they are affordable when you buy them in Taiwan.
I’ve been sprinkled… hit from behind 😂😂😂
😂 😂 😂
A fantastic video, feels almost as if I was there with you :) helped me so much in my own journey planning!
Very adventurous. Rain or shine, the show must go on! Thanks for sharing.
Exactly! 😁 😁

Yes! We were glad to have our umbrellas with us. 😊
You have walked through many tea gardens, "Alishan Tea" is very famous, if you have a chance, you can buy a bag of tea and go back to try it.
I love the joy you display in your perseverance rather than the frustrations some travelers would experience in the same situation. ❤
Thank you. ♥️♥️
it's amazing experience in taiwan travel.
Ya, that is one of my favorite hiking trails.
Oh cool! Hopefully the weather is better when you hike it. 😁😁
Thank you for these videos! They’re very helpful
Ten minute video, amazing places, friendly travelers... everything I need for English classes. Thank you from Brazil.
You're welcome! We're glad you enjoy them. 😊
Your tenacity leaves many youtubers to shame except for One Pack Wanderers but you are still ahead
This one took a bit of willpower, but the sprinklers were pretty funny. 😂😂
Discover another kind of beauty in Taiwan, congratulations. Enjoy it!
Thank you! Will do!

The sprinkler is set to time and starts within the set time.
One of the greatest and most precious democracies in the world. Peaceful and excellent world citizen.

Thank you so much!! That really means a lot to us. We love off the beaten path places! Maybe we'll take you up on that next time. Thanks!!
Like your video and adventures 👍
Thank you! Glad you like them. 😊😊
the trial of cloud means cloud. Cloud means rain. Welcome to Tawain!!

Yay! I'm so glad you laughed with us during our rainy adventure. 😂 😂
Watching this again! You two are cute, haha
Oh gosh, hahahaha. 😁😂
Just a reminder, when you read the maps in Taiwan, pay attention to the compass symbol. The north is often not pointing to the top.
Yes, 😂😂, it took a few looks at the map before we figured that out. Good reminder! 😂
Simply stunning..and wet! My wife is from Chiayi County--home to Alishan, Fenqihu, and some very wet tea fields. How are you traveling about? Bus?
Hahaha, definitely wet tea fields. 😂😂 (Why were they watering in the rain?!) We used public transport! Bus and train, but sometimes we rent bikes or maybe a car for a day.

What a scenery my friend, opening shots are so beautiful and simply brilliantly captured!👌
Thank you! 🤗🤗
Wonderful trail film
Thank you! 🤗
It is like movie
Its like those Chinese clan jetties in Penang. Messy with trash all over but you still got to visit it if you are in Penang.
Jasmin tea plant smell.
So beautiful, so funny.
Many many thanks 😊😊
Please feature lotus farms in Taiwan
Great video as usual! Stairs galore! Haha. May I ask whats the month you were there? So rainy and looks cold 😊
So many stairs! 😂😭 This was maybe the last day of March. 😁
The sprinkler scene's vibe is like Saving Private Ryan 😂
😂😂😂...with equally high stakes!
Yeah , Taiwan is a small island but there are 268 mountain peaks over 3,000 metres (9,800 ft) above sea level on the island
Pretty cool
😲😲😲
*These bamboo groves are not all the wild, they are most planted for harvesting bamboo shoots.❤*
Green Bamboo Shoot Salad, super delicious salad.
They were?? Well, they're beautiful. 😊
@@TalesFromOurPocket *I agree.😄*
These trials name 石棹步道群,the best way is from Sakura trial and go by clockwise. 😊 Anyway, you have worked hard and achieved a great vlog! 👍
Thank you!!
