Great episode and thanks for showing a side of Shanghai that most western media wouldn't care to showcase, Shanghai's emerging coffee culture. The shot with the lady in trench waiting outside of Pain Chaud was a mood and captures modern Shanghai perfectly. Well done.
Thanks so much, that means a lot :) We loved the cafes in Shanghai! Yeah we really love the shot with the lady in front of Pain Chaud, captures another side of Shanghai, glad you liked it. Thanks so much for your comment.
This is absolutely amazing! I am from Shanghai, and some of these shops and spots are my absolute favourites! %Arabica, yes tha's it! I have also learned so much from this video!! I will definitely check these out next time I'm home. I cannot wait to see more of your videos :) Best of luck on your journey!
Baker & Spice and Avec Toi were also my favorites during my five years in Shanghai. Although Avec Toi‘s coffee was awful but their pastry was super tasty! I‘m curious what still will be open when we‘re going to return after pandemic.
Hi, the flat white was 35 RMB. The Far West Gallete 98 RMB and the breakfast in a bun was 45 RMB. Hope this helps :) In our article on the blog we also have a menu photo which shows some other breakfast items with prices as well as more details on all the places in this video.
