Thanks for showing heat tape in series. I made the mistake of using individual mats and didn't put thermal pads on ends. The temperature would be 90°F in some tabs, 115°F on others. Plus electrocuted me. 3 if my snakes as well. That's with an Inkbird thermostat hooked up.
Happy to help mine work perfect like this. Invest in a herpstat its worth it especially for your animals. I should make a video about why so ill try to soon but they are worth every penny!
@@SnakeCakeExoticsthat's what I will do. Heard the 4, or 7 is really good. I hope you feel better soon. Everybody I know is sick, kids have Covid. Thanks again for the response.
Nice lol I got into it for flying drones! ruclips.net/video/VfawMxW3Hl8/видео.html If you like building computers then FPV drones should be awesome to you!
Do you have to cover the side that is soldered with electrical tape as well? Or only on the one side that you did in the beginning where the connection is before u started soldering? Planning on doing this for my rack!
I didn't but you definitely could for extra safety important thing is nothing gets to it or bridges the gap. Always better to have nothing exposed so I'd suggest covering!
Is the Soldering tool just a thing that gets rlly hot at the end !? Because I have a wood burning tool I’m wondering if I can use that to just melt the solder to bind them !?
Perhaps yeah it's a metal tip that gets hot but it has a special plating. Where are you located? I'll send you a link for a cheap decent one if I know where your from
@@jasoncovert9051 most people don't because it is a bit more work but consider a light bulb. you can put it on a long or short chord. You could add an on off switch or even splice in more lights. only way you have problems is if you short it, or have exposed live wire that touches stuff it shouldn't. This still needs to be on a thermostat or at least a dimmer to control the heat but other than that it's as safe as anything. Fun Fact, many people use reptile heat pads without a thermostat and that is much more dangerous.
