Been a while since I read it but the devs said they are releasing this with the intention of it funding a freedom wars 2. I'm like 90% sure that's what they said.
I *REALLY* hope this does well. I also would hope that Remasters for Nintendo Switch of Toukiden 2 and the God Eater Bundle of God Eater: Resurrection and God Eater 2: Rage Burst as well. I enjoyed those games *ALOT* along with Freedom Wars back on PS Vita.
God Eater, Toukiden and yeah definitely Soul Sacrifice need to make a comeback alongside Freedom Wars, each one needs a respective new sequel game to come with them
text to speech and AI generated voices for the accessories was not what I was expecting...especially funny when you compare it to the lore where their voices are synthesized from the population like the idol groups basically stealing voices from female Sinners; shits a literal downgrade from someone voice acting with a robotic monotone

Was one of the most ambitious hunters on the Vita I'm happy it has a proper controller support console now because playing on Vita was so uncomfy for my big hands. Now if only they'd free Soul Sacrifice as well then id froth at the bit
In the game they don't see sinners as human, so type A and type B was probably chosen as a way to add to the feeling of dehumanization. That's an in universe reason. What does it do for players? Why did the creators of the game do this? No one is entirely sure. I don't think anyone is mad at them for making the names male and female in the past. But type A/B is more validating for non binary people who would feel wrong for choosing a player body that doesn't line up with their own gender identity. I assume they'll still be called boys and girls in the cutscenes and by the players though.
Played and loved this on the Vita. Sadly my Vita had a corrupted internal memory and kinda died, so I never got a chance to finish it. Loved it though ❤️
my condolescens didnt had in germany the big memorycards so i imported one transfered everything and then the card died... Have they old stuff mostly from before the copy to the new card but still ... and then soon after vita died anyway 😢 But FW1 was one of my favorite vita games too besides toukiden and some more mfg Olli mfg Olli
@ Toukiden was SUCH a good series! I still need to beat 2. Freedom Wars was a blast, and I had such good gear. Some random (looked like Joker too) took me to some really high tier mission, and although I could dodge, I couldn’t dodge EVERYTHING. 😂 But still won and I took some high leveled weapons from that. Was a fun time. Only way to “fix” my vita is to completely reset it, so I’d lose everything sadly. I’m stubborn though 😂
@@Jambosm0key yeah - was close to the end of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel I - after about half a year when the memory card died tried to start new but it wasnt very motivating still years later p*** me of that irl was so stressig that I put backups so much on the back and enjoyed just gaming on the train to/from home at least with most cloud services today on pc/console there is "kind of" a solution to this... mfg Olli
It's so awesome to see the old classic PS Vita game Freedom Wars remastered coming to today's platforms like PS5/PS4 and Nintendo Switch that I will defienitily play on Switch can't wait this will be my first experience of one of the best anime action game: Freedom Wars! ❤
I absoutley loved playing this game growing up as a teen on my ps vita back in the day. I am extremely happy to see this beloved game getting a remaster yet again in this day n age. I sure am hoping Bandai actually lets the servers live longer this time on modern consols/pc compared to the psp/viata era days. Cant wait to hop back onto this world yet again re-learning everything once again as i play. Thankds o much for this Bandai crying with literally tears of joy!!! :D

Play Asia has physicals listed. Bandai Namco has weird physical release patterns. They usually release something physical, but seem to pick what regions get it with a dart board.
Going by this trailer and its Japanese counterpart, and the fact that it wasn't shown, it seems that the customized lines for the Accessory feature is most likely cut from this remaster. A shame because that's what would have convinced me to pick this up... But given how people have been behaving lately, I can understand why this feature could have possibly been removed. Only way to know is when the game drops in a few days.
I find it a little disenhaertneing that the Switch version is going to be be locked at 30fps 1080 for a 10 year old PS Vita game that ran at 30fps 544 on hardware that was weaker. For the record, the Bayonette games, Mario Cart and Smash run at 60fps. I'm still looking forward to the game though.
It's both. You can do the story online with friends if you want to. You can also do other missions online to farm materials. Panopticons also have a VS mode where youre paired up with people and have to rescue someone before the other team does.
