I was in my teens and 20s in the 80s and Madonna was so popular, so famous and sold sooo many albums that it's so unimaginable that young people nowadays don't really know who she is. I understand why, a lot of time has passed, but it still boggles my mind. She has a HUGE catalog of songs and I know you'll enjoy them. But there are still tons more I hope y'all check out. : )
I can’t count how many times I’ve been on a dance floor dancing to this song. All of the clothes were bought and styled for the video. Adrianne Phillips styled a lot of Madonna’s videos. It’s concept, it’s art, and someone directs it, with Madonna overseeing it all. 😁❤️
Man this song was the bomb when it came out. As soon as the opening lines of the song came on in the club we went CRAZY and there was a mad rush to the dance floor. Check out ‘Frozen, Nothing Really Matters, Ray of Light, Like a Prayer, Papa Don’t Preach, there are SO many good tunes
I didn't like 99 percent of what they were calling music in the 80's, but Madonna was different! For my generation (gen x) she was the first strong female in music! She was extremely controversial, and unapologetic! She knew where she wanted her career to go and she was going to get there Her way! It seemed like overnight that girls were copying her look! Girls wanted to be her! Boys wanted to be with her! Parents wanted her to go away! She is now and will forever be the Queen of pop!
She's the Queen of Pop, the best selling female recording artist of all time worldwide!! Her status is as big as The Beatles, Elvis or Micheal. All Hail The Queen!
Yeah she sings she's sold more albums than any other female ever. Countless hits in different genres, over $800 net worth, performed the Super Bowl halftime show etc
SMH at young people who’ve never even heard a Madonna song… like HOW? I grew up in the 80s, but it wasn’t like I was in a bubble and never heard songs from previous eras. That would like me growing up and never hearing a song by the Beatles, Elvis or The Rolling Stones. I just can’t fathom how anyone could be in their late teens or 20s and have never heard Vogue. COME ON!
There is definitely more Madonna to hear. She has HITS! That rabbit hole is deep. My personal fave Madonna songs are MATERIAL GIRL, LIKE A PRAYER, LIVE TO TELL, CRAZY FOR YOU, INTO THE GROOVE (from the movie she co-starred in DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN), She has acted too. HUMAN NATURE...like I said, Madonna has HITS!
Def gotta check out "Papa Don't Preach" at some point. Madonna was basically considered the first 'queen of pop'. Cool trivia is her, Prince, and Michael Jackson (biggest stars of the 80s) were all born within a couple weeks of each other and within a couple miles of each other.
All 80s hits first then do the 90s work ur way thru :) Papa don't preach is a banger. Like a prayer is beautiful Holiday is a classic fun song Like a virgin, iconic Get into the groove Frozen etc love a bit of old school Madge
Please react to more Madonna! Her song "Open Your Heart" would be great. Or maybe "Vogue" live at the 1990 MTV VMAs which is such an iconic performance 🔥
Madonna was the original popstar girl in my opinion. Growing up in the 80's and 90's no one was larger than her and MJ. And she always stayed relevant and pushing boundaries.
Madonna’s iconic and legendary artistry has produced a deep and rich treasure trove of hits (14 studio albums), 11 concert tours, 72 official music videos, films, and more-in a career spanning 4 decades and counting. She has a compelling life story; a fearless activism and champion of rights issues; and an unwavering and generous support/advocacy for many worthy causes that has benefitted many. Her 1989 video of Like A Prayer is an early example of her cutting-edge tackling of racial, social justice, and religious issues. Her impact and influence on post-modern music and culture is profound that actress Susan Sarandon famously remarked-“The history of women in popular music can, pretty much, be divided into before and after Madonna..” I appreciate your reacting to her music and looking forward to your exploring more Madonna hits.
MADONNA is one of the best ever singers, sensational to me. What a voice!! Amazing dancer to. VOGUE is a magazine, with all the famous actresses, just the BEST!!!
Madonna is an icon and has SO many songs, but you should definitely react to “Me against the music” (with Britney Spears), “Material Girl”, “Like a Virgin”, and “Like a prayer”.
Keep up the Madonna reactions to her music videos and live performances! Around the time Michael Jackson became known as the "King of Pop", Madonna was also named the "Queen of Pop." They even went to the Oscar's together as "dates", which only sealed these titles forever. I'm not exaggerating when I say Madonna changed the game. She embraced music videos, going against many artists at the time. She helped launch MTV (which made music videos the norm), and she's an inspiration to many, especially those of us who remember how much society at the time ridiculed her. This only made her an even stronger advocate, fighting harder than ever for equal rights across the board- women, LGBTQ, people of color, people with HIV/AIDS... etc. The fact that she began doing this, without shame, from the very beginning of her career, and during a time when it wasn't the popular thing to do, possibly putting her career in jeopardy, makes her the goat. 💙
Others have said that this song is inspired by the ballroom scene in NYC in the early 80s. This is a great video to react to for Madonna and there are so many more. Too many to list here. LOL My favorites are Material Girl, Lucky Star, Justify my Love, Express Yourself, Like a Prayer, Ray of Light, Music, Hung Up, and of course this one.
The female MJ from an icon standpoint, she's the highest selling female record artist in tge guineas book.. watch like a prayer music video or papa don't preach music video by Madonna
Please do more Madonna. Material Girl & Like A Prayer are great videos. Borderline is one of her first hits. Like A Virgin was a big deal when it came out. Papa Don't Preach. My favorite is Into The Groove.
When this song came out you could not avoid it. It was everywhere. It was one of the most played songs on VH1 and MTV. "Express yourself " too. That one was on all the time . But honestly she only had about 25 hit songs lol I swear she came out with a new album every year and a half for something like 15 or 20 years and every album had like 4 or 5 hits on it. She was just a monster in the music world. She sits in a very small league with pretty much Micheal Jackson, Prince, Elton John and David Bowie .
More Madonna please. There are a lot of great suggestions already in the comments. Madonna has always been ground breaking and pushed the limits. During her Blonde Ambition Tour, the police in Toronto threatened to arrest her if she performed ‘Like a Virgin”. The Pope attempted to have it banned. This video is the live performance of ‘Like a Virgin’ during the Blonde Ambition Tour. I don’t think this is the Toronto performance but it is available too. ruclips.net/video/8dn8I_QXriI/видео.html

this is the best madonna's project. early 90's are the best of 80's. and this is her trademark: you are a superstar, strike a pose. it makes no difference who you are, get to the ance floor. and strike a pose. everything is about behaving like you are a superstar. james dean and monroe. come on the dance floor. you can like or not: that's her message. you can be so and so (like she is), believe in yourself and there's nothing to it. references and all, that's madonna. i really like it. this was madonna when she was madonna. at her late best. it works. you are a normal unfit person. behave like you are a superstar dancing in front of your mirror, or in a dance hall if you dare. you are a superstar. (it ends up with massive surgery, but that's it).
Madonna was born same year as both MJ and Prince - they were all just a few moths apart and she is one of the few women who ca compete with those two on the charts. She's 🔥🔥
Her last album was in 2019 and I see she has a new one coming in 2022. She's released 29 albums and 36 other limited releases. She's 63 years old now and still looks pretty good!
I'd say start with her first couple hits, Lucky Star and Holiday, both of which are a lot different than Vogue, but both of which should give you an idea of why she caught so much attention in the mid 1980s. She's got plenty of hits after that. A couple really danceable tunes of hers that I love and adore are '4 Minutes', 'Music', 'Express Yourself,' and 'Girl Gone Wild." I'm sure others have listed many more. I say these things and I'm not even a huge Madonna fan but I know she's got performer talent.
To understand Madonna from the beginning you have to go back to 1983. On her first album, Borderline, she uses it to introduce herself to the world. The songs, BORDERLINE, LIKE A VIRGIN, and LUCKY STAR were imprinted on pop culture and girls of a certain age. As the most successful female artist if all-time she has taken advantage of a medium that often throws away the subject once their usefulness was over. But she kept them on their toes by switching gears, looks, and attitude to deserve constant attention. This video was also an MTV favorite with a different version of this song.
Oh my, she was HUUUUUGE in the 80's. You've got to do more of her stuff. Try some older songs like Borderline, Open Your Heart, Like A Virgin, Into the Groove, La Isla Bonita
Love Madonna, I’m an 80’s child 😉❤️🔥❤️🔥 Haven’t heard this in sooo long, Thanks for bringing her back 🤗🥰 I actually got up out my chair and started dancing 😜🕺👯♀️👯♀️💃🏼👯♂️
Madonna's music is from the 1980's, every song has a dance, definitely see her music videos, and her concert videos, Michael Jackson, and Madonna and their dancers are best I've seen. I still like her songs "Borderline", and "Deeper And Deeper".
There is plenty Madonna to watch, from the 1980's, to 2019. There is dance, pop, hip hop, RnB, musical, jazz, there is a lot. Highly recommend Like a Prayer, Human Nature, Take a Bow, and Music.

Madonna has built a legacy that transcends music and has been studied by sociologists, historians and other scholars, contributing to the rise of Madonna studies, a subfield of American cultural studies. According to Rodrigo Fresán, "saying that Madonna is just a pop star is as inappropriate as saying that Coca-Cola is just a soda. Madonna is one of the classic symbols of Made in USA."Rolling Stone Spain wrote, "She became the first master of viral pop in history, years before the internet was massively used. Madonna was everywhere; in the almighty music television channels, 'radio formulas', magazine covers and even in bookstores. A pop dialectic, never seen since the Beatles's reign, which allowed her to keep on the edge of trend and commerciality."William Langley from The Daily Telegraph felt that "Madonna has changed the world's social history, has done more things as more different people than anyone else is ever likely to."Professor Diane Pecknold noted that "nearly any poll of the biggest, greatest, or best in popular culture includes [Madonna's] name".In 2012, VH1 ranked Madonna as the greatest woman in music. According to Acclaimed Music, which statistically aggregates hundreds of critics' lists, Madonna is the most acclaimed female musician of all time.

I dont understand how anyone into music has never heard any Madonna music?!? I suppose its hard for anyone that lived through the 80's and 90's to imagine how that's possible. An entire generation of people grew up heavily influenced by her. She had constant and continuous huge hits being played non stop for over a decade. Literally for a decade, if you listened to the radio for 45 minutes at any time, youd hear at least one Modonna song. She owned the 80's

What about salt n pepa 2 female rappers and singer's for Mr they are more powerful than madonna in my opinion
@@richardwani2803 Yeah but they were nowhere near as big or prolific or influential on pop culture.
Biggest female artist in history. Icon
She's the Queen of Pop, the best selling female recording artist of all time worldwide!! Her status is as big as The Beatles, Elvis or Micheal. All Hail The Queen!
More Madonna, please! "Like a Virgin", "Like a Prayer". "Pappa Don't Preach", "Get Into the Groove".
COME ON!
Madonna is one of the top entertainers of all time, and the most successful female music artist in history.
You need to react to her earlier music. ‘Borderline’ ‘Burning Up’ ‘Holiday’ etc… Brilliant.
Lol oh she is an actor little brother! And a singer, dancer, composer, mother - she's everything! ❤️🇨🇦
Wow
Uh, nooooo…. Not that close to one another. Much farther than only a couple miles!
All 80s hits first then do the 90s work ur way thru :)
Papa don't preach is a banger.
Like a prayer is beautiful
Holiday is a classic fun song
Like a virgin, iconic
Get into the groove
Frozen etc love a bit of old school Madge
Please react to more Madonna! Her song "Open Your Heart" would be great. Or maybe "Vogue" live at the 1990 MTV VMAs which is such an iconic performance 🔥
You were right, Vogue is the top selling Fashion Designer Magazine.
Been around for decades.
You should check out early Madonna "Material Girl"
Madonna was the original popstar girl in my opinion. Growing up in the 80's and 90's no one was larger than her and MJ. And she always stayed relevant and pushing boundaries.
Please do Madonna's song Holiday. Everybody loves it.
Not only does she make music, she's the Queen of Pop.
Excelente!
Más de Madonna sería genial!
Madonna was huge in the 80’s. She was on the Mt Rushmore of MTV and pop culture, along with MJ, Prince, Bruce Springsteen, U2.
Live 2 Tell is a great song / borderline is another great 1
Borderline was her first and my favorite. Material Girl music video should be on your reaction list.

Madonna is one of the biggest female artist ever She was huge in 80’s and 90’s A bunch of number 1 songs Y’all should check out M J’s sister Janet Jackson’s video Rythm Nation Make sure it’s the video That shit will have dancing in your seat promise!
Thank you guys for reacting to Madonna!!! Hope to see more of her on your channel, she is always changing up genres and is an Icon for a reason 💎 💗 💫
******THE QUEEN OF DIVERSITY & CONTROVERSY****** Luv her, for opening millions of eyes ❣❣❣
this is the best madonna's project. early 90's are the best of 80's. and this is her trademark: you are a superstar, strike a pose. it makes no difference who you are, get to the ance floor. and strike a pose. everything is about behaving like you are a superstar. james dean and monroe. come on the dance floor. you can like or not: that's her message. you can be so and so (like she is), believe in yourself and there's nothing to it. references and all, that's madonna. i really like it. this was madonna when she was madonna. at her late best. it works.
you are a normal unfit person. behave like you are a superstar dancing in front of your mirror, or in a dance hall if you dare. you are a superstar. (it ends up with massive surgery, but that's it).
Madonna was born same year as both MJ and Prince - they were all just a few moths apart and she is one of the few women who ca compete with those two on the charts. She's 🔥🔥
Madonna performed at Live Aid along with Queen.
Madonna broke through so many barriers and completely can take credit for paving the way for upcoming female artists. She is the queen of pop
I also love the video for Cherish, it was also shot in black and white film. I haven't seen anyone else reacting to it either
Yes vogue is a modeling magazine. Madonna has done movies and is the queen of pop. Just about every song if hers from the 80's till now are hits.
Check out her video Like A Prayer. It’s about black racial profile. She was ahead of her time
To understand Madonna from the beginning you have to go back to 1983.
She's The Queen of Pop! 👑
Soooo many Madonna songs!!! Omg idk where to even start...
Definitely would LOVE to see you react to the uncut video of "Justify My Love"
There is plenty Madonna to watch, from the 1980's, to 2019. There is dance, pop, hip hop, RnB, musical, jazz, there is a lot. Highly recommend Like a Prayer, Human Nature, Take a Bow, and Music.
Madonna doesn’t get enough credit for changing the social landscape back in the day. Would enjoy watching you guys explore her career
Queen of Pop
This was a big hit in the 90s.. In every disco you heard it and we knew every move from the clip.. haha.. strike a pose.
First of all . I love your channel . When mtv started up Madonna put out music videos . She had a ton of hits . Her dance moves singing and ingenuity has rocked over 4 decades. She an iconic artist in her own right

You gotta watch Justify My Love unrated video. It was banned from MTV and they played on the news at midnight on like a Friday or Saturday night and all us kids stayed home to see it.
Please check out Madonna's " papa don't preach" she did this song for teenage pregnancy awareness also her hit " like a virgin" awesome and so many more hits to check out
And it's a HUGE rabbit hole if you dig in. Enough to keep you entertained for MONTHS !
She’s the queen of pop and top selling solo artists of all time
Madonna has built a legacy that transcends music and has been studied by sociologists, historians and other scholars, contributing to the rise of Madonna studies, a subfield of American cultural studies.
What a trip! Who would have thought that this generation wouldn't know who she is? Not us back then!
please look madonna like a prayer music video and crave feat swae lee thanks
This song was released in 1990, that's why you got this vibe... This is my favorite Madonna song.
Like a prayer, tale to tell, like a virgen, papa don't preach, crazy for you, material girl, this used to be my play ground, la isla bonita, borderline, holiday, open your heart, and many more are hits from Madonna the Queen of pop.
Vogue was released in 1990. Amazing house song. Recommend Justify My Love, which also came out in 1990... it's more of trip-hop song but equally as good.
The biggest selling female artist in music history and only behind The Beatles, Elvis and Michael Jackson in total sales. Go down the Madonna rabbit hole. You won't be disappointed.
