For me, it's the second best water coaster that I've ridden (behind Mammoth), but I can understand why the vast majority of people claim this to be the best overall. The LIMs really help the ride maintain a fast pace from start to finish, and the airtime you get as you go over those hills multiple times really makes it even more exciting than it already is.
I think the new water coaster sitting SBNO looks better... call me crazy, but I stand with it! I got to actually see it in person today and I got a new number one coaster today...
Went on this one and my friends and I went in the single-rider line. Got in a few minutes. I ended up sitting in the back and I got crazy airtime. Roller coasters are too much of, well, a thrill for me. But I absolutely love Wildebeest. I didn't know the other two people on my raft, but it was so much fun because we were all screaming the entire time. I suggest going single-rider to get it over quicker, but also because it's just so much fun going on it with complete strangers.
I've always wanted a water ride that was more... solid. Like not on a raft or flume or something but a little car. And like you're very exposed, going through a trench filled with a little water just like a slider but it's on rails so it can do INSANE maneuvers. Like imagine a f-ing outward banked wave turn on a "water coaster" going through water splashing and mist.
Honestly the spray of mist really makes me not enjoy Wildebeest to the fullest potential. It hurts too for how aggressive it sprays from my experience riding it. (Same applies for Mammoth as well facing forward) It’s sad to say but because of it I think of Wildebeest & Mammoth as just ok attractions due to this. However I slightly prefer Mammoth since if you are going backwards, the spray won’t hurt your eyes. From my knowledge Deluge at Kentucky Kingdom didn’t have the sprayers going on so because of that, I might prefer it over Wildebeest. (Weird I know.)
Airtime? Really? The only water slides I get airtime in are the water coaster in Dollywood and the Matt Racer in Wisconsin Dells, sorry, I don't know my water slides lol. But even those barley have airtime. I should probably check this one out if go the Holiday Worlds water park.
Another reason why this park should be on everyone’s bucket list
True!
I would go to holiday world to ride the water coasters and the voyage
This was the main reason I subscribed to you I don't know anyone else who does water slide reviews!
You're welcome!
Can’t wait to ride this for holliwod knights! Great video!
Have fun!

The length is excellent too.

The one at Great America?
It’s just a stat monster drops don’t give too much airtime and it’s not intense at all except for the last drop on triple down

Single rider is a godsend.
I also remember the whole time on Wildebeest on some rides I go “Up, Down, Up, Down” with each hill. It was fun doing that even if it was annoying.
Lol
The drops on these water coasters remind me of the rare spillway drop element on some of the arrow log flume
I got to experience that at Kennywood.

That would be interesting!
I might go on toothless this summer so I can’t wait to compare that and Krakatu and hear how you do too
Enjoy!
0:24 I thought that was Toothless but correct me if I’m wrong
I prefer Toothless but this one is worthy of the discussion.
I can't wait to go to Volcano Bay later this May since I owned a 3-Park Universal Season Pass
I still need to make it to that park.
"Giving the front row riders a tiny pop of airtime"... and a face full of water 😛
True!
I’ve ridden this ride around 20-30 times and I can’t get enough of it. I do like mammoth a little more I take this over cheetah chase.
I definitely prefer this and Mammoth over Cheetah Chase.

I wore glasses last year on them and it really helped.
@@CanobieCoaster Let’s hope I remember to bring them next time I go!
I think the Wildebeest is more intense than the mammoth because all the drops and it’s faster than mammoth
Fair!

I think RiverRush has stronger airtime, but this has more instances.
You should do a Q&A for 5000 subscribers 🎉
I'll do a live stream.
A live Q&A?!
Yes
same
Krakatau is better now that I've ridden it.
This review and mammoths review have almost the exact same narrative
They have similar backstories.
I rode with my family year one. 3 hour wait
Wow
@@CanobieCoaster yeah, I was 6 so I definitely felt that wait. But it was worth it
