  • Braunig lake is known for its freshwater redfish, so living in San Antonio its really nice having that option so close to home. And every once in a while the bite turns on FIRE. That was the case this night, when me and my buddy hit the lake. The primary bait was head on shrimp & live crawfish on a Carolina rig with a 2oz weight. We caught several limits of redfish, all catch & release. The bite was consistent for a good 3 hours that night & we had an awesome time cranking in these reds. As always, I hope everyone enjoys the content. Be sure to like & subscribe to help the channel keep growing!

Carolina rig with an egg weight & using a circle hook. Head on shrimp as bait. 👍🏽

I normally use 6/0 Gamakatsu Circle Octopus Hooks. But smaller ones work fine too

@@Dunnoutdoors any particular size for the egg weight? Were these pre made Carolina rigs as well? Y’all made this look easy.

1-1/2 or 2oz egg or no roll weight. And I just make them myself with 40lb mono & a barrel swivel.
