I love my Bauer Tools seeing them truly tested is awesome. They have alot going for them. Powerful Mobuchi Motors, Samsung Battery Cells, Metal chuck and gears. These have truly impressed me especially for my Automotive projects
All I have is a mix of cord tools of various brands, been debating what to buy to get into battery powered for DIY stuff, been looking at Bauer, Riyobi, Kobalt and Hercules. The Hercules has great reviews and priced decent but just does not have enough tools offered yet, I love the Kobalt but just too spendy for what I need them for so been debating between Riyobi and Bauer, love all the choice of tools in Riyobi but they burn batteries fast and prices going up, I think your review pushed me to Bauer since they have really increased amount of tools they have.
Thanks for the review! Got a hammer drill on clearance from an open box sale that looked nearly unused for $30. I have Porter Cable and they've been great for me, but I wanted to try the Bauer.
thats pretty common with alot of chucks that are keyless, if you prefer you can sacrifice speed for stability and get a keyed chuck for it think they even sell them at harbor frieght not sure if 1/2" or what.
Depends on if you need to drill masonry. If you think you will be drilling masonry often enough get the hammer drill. You can drill masonry with a standard drill but it's slower.
Thank you. Like to hear from people that use items I'm interested in and not those that try to make You Tube videos, acting like 'experts' just to get hits and make money from making videos!
I had the 3/8 and 1/2 impact wrenches, hedge trimmer, 4.5 grinder, recip saw, and flashlight. I sold them all and instead bought everything Ridgid Octane. Bauer worked ok, but I always felt they might not last as long even though the tools felt quality. Maybe it was because of the warranty something was always pestering me about the Bauer brand in the back of my mind
You are entitled to your opinion. I still have the same drills and use them daily. They are beat to crap and haven't quit on me yet. Can't ask for more than that out of a workman's tools.

My Bauer hammer drill has a shut off if it gets too bogged down so it won't overwork the motor. I've been loving my Bauer drill too!

Damn I gotta get one
If I could only buy one, would I be better off with the regular drill/driver or the hammer drill?

how are they holing up
Still going strong actually. It is slowing a bit, as it's brushed. So I'll probably be upgrading soon.
Bought the bauer hammer drill its a great Milwaukee knock off
I recently bought the plug in 10lb hammer drill and used for removing all the tile in a house. Great workhorse and still running like new.
I'm gonna take a chance on Bauer I need a 1/2" driver.

Are they holding up?
Still using them. My main one has seen allot of abuse but still works acceptably
Best part about Bauer tools nobody will steal that cheap junk 😁
With how many tools grow legs that's important. Even at the trade school I used to go to the tools grew legs.
