Looks like this season will be going for a much darker tone, the covenant seem more like a serious threat, and the arbiter is in the trailer, this looks really cool.

Yes, we need more characters like Kwan. Just look how much fans loved Forward Unto Dawn when they got to watch loads of screen time of your High school boy Lasky in his days in R.O.T.C. Who needs Chief when you got regular Joes running for their life from aliens?

Looks a good bit more promising than the trainwreck that was season 1. I hope that the writers learn from the wrongs of the previous season and make something that will possibly bring back the spark of Halo to many who have lost it or had it fade. fingers crossed.

The trailer shows how much bigger the budget is this time. Everything looks crispppp and atmospheric. I really enjoyed the first season, mostly because of the action because it went so damn hard. Also i hope that this season can satisfy the fan base of the games. To me, this looks perfect.

I agree it does look promising but it doesn’t really show much in terms of story with this trailer and that is what season two needs to sell people on to get more viewers back after what happened with season one. Looks good and I’ll probably watch but not completely sold.

Of course this show has a very, very steep hill to climb from where it started. It's going to be hard to fix that first season. The Fall of Reach, if done right, is a good place to start.

Since Thel Vadam was the arbiter after failing to keep halo safe, this is the arbiter before him. Looking forward to the fight between him and chief and hopefully it carries on to the halo.

It also looks like John is going to be much less emotional than in the 1st season, and if a member of Silver team dies, (or another Spartan), that should be the ONLY reason John gets upset.

@@joekokai5765Well, at 1:15, that character has been confirmed by the show runners and 343 to be James Ackerson, aka, the head of the Spartan-III program. Also a Spartan III was briefly mentioned in the first season.

For those reasons it can barely be called an adaptation. Adaptations are meant to retell something existing without throwing away everything that was there, which is not what the first season did
@@aceofaces1506 But it didn't tho lol. It didn't throw away everything from the games. An adaptation is when it takes the source material, adapts it and changes some stuff. That's the whole point. If you want the same thing, you got the original.
Ok, for example of an adaption that did things different from the source material. Batman Under the Red Hood. In the comic, there's things done very differently, than what they did in the movie. When they adapted the comic into the movie, they made some big changes. Like the group that attacks Red Hood early on in the movie. In the comic, it's Captain Nazi, Count Vertigo and some other guy. In the movie, it's none of them. But the big change was the ending. Like, in the movie it's implied Jason lives and stuff. In the comic, Batman kills Jason by throwing a batarang at Jason's throat causing him to bleed out. It's a pretty big change, and nobody bitches about it.
The show for Halo is doing its own thing with the lore, it's an adaptation, so things will be a little bit different. That's just common sense of how adaptations work lol. If you genuinely don't like the show, that's fine. I respect that, the first season wasn't perfect by any means. But it's far from as bad as people make it out to be. All film and tv is subjective.

The fact that Spartan IIIs were with one Spartan IIs in the pelican give me ghosts of Onyx vibe since I remembered how IIIs cat 2 was trained by IIs and IIs’s trainer. I hope IIIs better get Justice after how badly they made Master cheeks back in the season 1.

If you screw up the Fall of Reach, the Halo fan base will never forgive this show. Arguably the most important part of the Halo franchise

When will the next trailer be out, and also, I really hope you guys put original halo music in there. The trailer has it, now the series needs it. I’m exited for episode 1, it looks 1 million times better then the other season. I’m a true halo fan, and to me, this season looks promising besides chiefs face. Why you gotta take his helmet off. Anyway, I’m as exited as when the first season was announced.We all wished it was better, but I believe in second chances. Paramount, I hope you learnt your lesson and hopefully will please the fans of the show, and of the games and books. Somthing about this gives me shadows of reach vibes, master chief and blue team, in this case silver team, on a glassed planet. I hope I’m as surprised watching the show as I was first watching the trailer.
