I went to the Summer Acting Camp at LCHS in 2018 and I remember all the acting teachers and still, to this day, I can recognize all my teachers in this video. The timing, choreography, editing, and sound are all AMAZING!! Can't wait to go to the Acting Camp again :)
I was expecting a mocking, comedic spoof, of La La Land, and it’s the real thing! And it’s so well done and so fantastic! Only thing is, it took me five years to find it.
I don't think we had any BTS shot. But from what I can recall, it was about 3-5 weeks of choreographing different sections of the theater department in the parking lot after we had finished production of our plays. Finding new things to do and having key students more involved than others. The whole thing was then done in the slimmer parking lot of the school that better showed as traffic lanes while Eick literally ran through everything with a phone stabilizer. For the final rise there is 1 jump cut where we had a lift brought out to film the final sequence. The actual filming was done over I want to say 4-5 hours with 30 something takes. -A student lucky enough to be a part of this magnum opus
Wow! Best fan made version ever! The energy and vibrant movements were fantastic! Far superior to the stiff, lifelessness I've seen in others. Choreography and timing were perfect and the cast did a great job! The cuts and transitions were spot on and it was a nice touch with the running instead of the skateboard. The guy running really added to the end making it feel alive. Superb performance from the cast and Magnificent directing and editing! Fantastic work! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 (Five Happy Faces!)
Totally agree! I have watched a few "Another Day of Sun" fan & school theatre arts productions of this number on RUclips and this is by far the best! A true, loving homage to the original. So much talent: from the cast, choreographer, director, producer & cinematographer and the entire crew. Such a professional production. BRAVO! Is this the La Canada High School in La Cañada Flintridge, California? If so, I really hope that Damien Chazelle sees this one day. So much So Cal talent!!!
I saw the movie and liked it when it came out. I've been playing it constantly and listening to the songs over and over lately. I keep discovering new versions of the songs people have made. I love it!! Where was this filmed? I think Canada is pretty cool too. Been to Montreal, Ottawa, Kingston & Toronto so far. 😁
