Living in Samar province, I have travelled to Northern Samar a few times. I can see there is much more for me to do! I'm still discovering Western Samar mostly and post videos of my adventures.
Samar...there in Eastern part part of Samar I found the largest American built air port. If untouched now a day still can be seen as one of the wonder of the Philippines as a strategic place in the Pacific. The place is "Guian," you can see the oldest Catholic church in Rococo design facade, the huge bell house made in coral stones... and if you travel south by boat you will reach the Historical place of Homonhon Island, were the preserved footprints of Spanish sailor and great navigator Ferdinand Magellan can be found. I hope this channel noticed that. That's history...
wow! unspoilt, rugged pristine! both my mother and my husband were ftom lao-ang. i ptefer taking the bus ride as i love seeing the countryside. thank u for sharing, very educational.

It would be beneficial for foreign expats in Philippines to learn the local language, so that they can converse with Filipinos & understand them & avoid getting fleeced. Unlike the U.S. PH is not a multiracial country, therefore Filipinos think that all whites are like "Royalty"
