BEMANI has employed some very talented motion design/graphics design artists, and I threw this video together to show it off. So here you go, the evolution of music decision splash screens from the beatmania IIDX series. They're all amazing and hype you up to play the song. Somehow IIDX RED is ahead of its time. The visual FX feels more than any other IIDX version these days
I can't get enough of this video. I am more interested in the transitions from song decision into game screen because watching the way the frames are assembled in later games frame by frame is fascinating as hell to me and helps me while I research this aesthetic. Thank you for uploading this, I cant believe I am just now finding this.

They've had so many years to refine what i consider to be the most stylish looking rhythm game menu. I love getting a new theme every year, and getting them in 1080p has Resident and Epolis looking niiiiice.

I been playing heroic verse and rootage it’s been a lot better not dealing with PS2 emulation stuff because of delay if the round 1 was closer and not 4 hours away I’d probably go more often I’m thinking of going there for my next birthday
iidx 14-16, 19-20 are my personal favorites. also for the next version, can you include the different parallel rotation select screens for sirius? tysm :D

I believe 4th and 5th style AC have a modifier splash also after the song is selected, similar to 3rd and 4th style…
no as you cant change mods in game in 4th and 5th only lets you change hispeed setting like the older games the mods show as full screen text at credit start 6th was the first splash
@@nate567987 that’s not what I mean. After you’ve selected a song, on the arcade it’ll flash what modifiers are active. Starting on 7th Style, it’ll tell you as you’ve selected a song and from 8th until Empress it’ll won’t splash what modifers are active.
