After the 4th of September earthquake we were told at lunch time the day after that uni would be closed for a week which got extended to 2 weeks. I was inside the commerce building when it happened and saw tiles get ripped from the walls so I won't be surprised if we don't go back til like April.
well last time uni was shut for 2 weeks, and this time the earthquake has hit much harder, i would be surprised if it was any less than 2-3 weeks, but they will give us 48 hours before commencing lectures/labs again, more info can be found on the universities website
