I grew up in Vidigal and I love living here. It’s a vibrant place, with a welcoming favela and incredible views. I’m really happy that you chose to stay in Vidigal and showed your channel’s audience the beauty and spirit of this special place. Thank you for sharing this experience and helping to highlight the value of our favela.
Dji mavic Air 2s! Honestly not sure of the regulated official laws. They really don't care haha I usually go with more of seek forgiveness rather than ask permission. Just use common sense when flying always please! No direct flyovers of stadiums, government buildings, very populated places, and sacred locations.
My own colleagues (Brazilians) mentioned to me that it is not safe to travel to Rio alone as a foreigner. Now I am quite confused whether I should visit Rio or not? Can someone please guide me regarding their recent experiences?
I felt the same way lol, my own friend in Brazil told me to bring a helmet to Rio because it is so dangerous. These are usually the people who see all the negatives in certain places. I can walk down the wrong ally in Miami and be in danger. Please don't be scared, as long as you use common sense and not stick out like a sore thumb, you will be okay and love it!
I want to plan a trip next year but was hesitant just from what i heard and that’s it’s super unsafe. All videos I have found on RUclips are the opposite.
it just depends honestly. Anywhere can be dangerous. Just don't have your phones our taking selfies everywhere you go and you will be fine. Be cautious, know your surroundings, and use common sense. If you do that, I really don't think you have anything to be worried about :) also don't stick out like a sore thumb. I've seen people wearing luxury brand designs, rolex, and nice shoes. Just don't do that unless you are going out to dinner
If we compare Brazil with Europe, of course, Brazil will be considered very unsafe. But if we compare real Brazil with what the media said about Brazil, we will consider real Brazil safe. Take your precautions when you stay in Brazil and relax. On the other hand, there are cities safer than Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. I don't recommend avoiding these states. I'm not from these states. Welcome to Brazil!
it really depends on what you do, who you're with, and common sense at the end of the day. we ubered everywhere, didn't go to the top tourist beach there, and just played it smart with our surroundings
Take me to Rio
Rio... my dream destination
Thank you so much!! We didn’t do Copacabana, we went to Ipanema & Barra. Those beaches are a bit nicer snd cleaner 😊
Have you ever been here? You should come, you’re going to love it!

I would love to do that one hike but I hear it's just not safe. You guys even waited until the sun's fully set. Kudos 😮

120 USD per night at Vidigal is kind of ridiculous though

Went there twice and already planning to go there again this year. Twice was never enough and this city continues to amaze me 🥹
