6.36 sir I think it’s better buying slightly OTM / OTM put quarterly or monthly .. because in your strategy loss is fixed but in case market goes to 9000 to 12000 and if it comes back to 9000 we will miss the chance to capture 3000 points however we pay premium but it doesn’t secure those 3000 points .... I think it’s better buying OTM put every time anyway it might b less cost than ATM PUT... and if stock doesn’t follow nifty .. it is going to be worthless... correct me if I am wrong sir..

If we have bought the put to insure our portfolio and market crashed 20%, should we book the profit earned from that put ? If yes, then any further downfall may bring the portfolio to loss again. If no, then if market recovers in next 5-6 months and the entire profit earned by the put will vanish. What we are supposed to do in such a scenario ?

delta is 0.5 when it is an option is ATM. once it is ITM, delta moves up and finally, if option is deep ITM, it will have delta 1. Pl. check option chain for this.
