This movie has always been one of my hidden secret guilty pleasures. As a ' manly man ' , 250 lb retired military tough guy, Robin manages to bring a smile and a tear to my eye with such pleasant ease . Thank you for your time and this excellent review.

Nothing more attractive than a warrior type that's actually sentimental 👌 this movie is in my top 10 movies of all time. Beautiful representation of soulmates and love of family. Those stupid Rom Coms don't even compare.

This movie is so underappreciated for how beautiful it really is. You should watch Bicentennial Man, too. It has a beautiful message about humanity and mortality and what it all means.

The shrink was not responsible for Annie’s suicide. Annie was horribly depressed after the kids died and was hospitalized for a while. Christy was able to talk to her and “bring her back” to wanting to live again. But then his death drove her to her breaking point (and totally understandably so).
They made an anniversary of it.
Christy was always strong for Annie. He always saved her. In the end, Annie had to forgive herself so she could save him.

Big hugs for being vulnerable in this one man. You are a wonderful human being, and your vids have cheered me up through so many dark times the past few months.

One of my ATF films. Robin Williams' skill for drama (Good Will Hunting, Bicentennial Man, Patch Adams, Dead Poets Society) will always earn him recognition as one of the greatest actors who ever lived.

Saw this in theaters with a boyfriend years ago and cried hysterically in the car, still in the theater parking lot, telling him that he’d never come to hell for me 😂

Oh boy. As soon as I saw this posted I had to watch it. Thank you for reacting to it. I didn't see this film until I was an adult, mainly because the one story I heard about it was my parents went to go see it in the theaters and my mom got so emotional that she was still sobbing when they went to a restaurant afterwards and people there were giving my dad dirty looks, thinking he had harmed her in some way. She still can't watch it to this day. Watching it now, the part that gets me is when you realize the daughter came to him as the Asian woman because he thought they were the most beautiful and she held onto that for years. Such a beautiful but heartbreaking movie at the same time.

Robin Williams' role here and in Patch Adams are the movies that made me want to be a doctor when I was a kid.

I think Robin forgot about this movie... Aside from my personal belief, this is probably the only movie that kept me hanging on when I was at my lowest.

For some reason the moviemakers made Annie's fate even harsher than in the book. In the novel, we're told suicides stay in their own personal hell until whatever would have been the end of their natural lifespan. That's still hard but a lot more humane than saying they go to hell forever!!

If you haven’t seen it yet, Good Will Hunting is another classic Robin Williams film.
This movie is so beautiful but I can help but laugh at the “and then they all died and lived happily ever after” ending. This really is such a great film and helped me develop my own ideas of the afterlife.

This is his perception of heaven. Basically premise of the movie is to say heaven is whatever you choose it to be/look like. And also everyone has the choice of how they’d like to look in the afterlife…. The movie literally Explained that. It’s pretty self explanatory as well.

This movie crushes my soul. I saw it on mine and my husbands 2nd anniversary ( before we were married) and cried and cried. Now weve watched it again and it literally kills me. Weve been together for 17 years and i cannot imagine not being with him. It’s always scared me what happens when we die, when i cant be with you anymore. Just fucks me up man

Your words are pure truth, and will no doubt help viewers who have experienced losing someone to suicide.
As a guy who has lost friends, including my best friend, my soulmate, at only 23, as dark as it all seems, never give up.
Robin Williams is the reason I became an actor, and why I commit to helping others no matter what.
It is not only those in the spotlight that have influence. It's the small everyday acts of kindness to anyone and everyone, that shape all our lives for the better.
Thank you for influencing my day for the better Dillon.

It's not even an english language movie... But for a very similar experience to this movie's exploration of love and the afterlife, I highly recommend you to react to the brazillian movie "Nosso Lar" (Astral City in english), based off the psychic writings from brazillian medium Chico Xavier. I really do. Both of these movies mean a lot to me in terms of depicting what comes next.

You don't half ruin films by trying to guess elments from it all the time, also talking. Stop talking so much. Enjoy the film, react, of course.... but stop trying to ruin the surprises. Stop pausing it too. Please.
