With the few Chinese manufacturers left like Moto , Lenovo, Oppo, Xiaomi, Poco, OnePlus, there was no real competition since LG, one of the most innovative company signed its death sentence on it's mobile division and Huawei which took a massive toll at a point that even Qualcomm wasn't able to work with Huawei a few years back. Now things are about to get serious with Honor and I wish honor will dethrone Apple like Huawei did before the US ban.
I bought a honor 70 and I was expecting to use it for a week or so before I return it as i usually buy Samsung apple or Google however nearly a month later and you I will say it has surprised me how much I actually like the device not the best specs but very good for the price and what it has . The only issue I have is updates and curved screen is not as nice as flat but both these I can live with as I didn't pay nearly £600+ I paid £279 which I am happy with , I also say I going to take have a long detailed look at the magic pro 5 when it's released
The only thing I dislike about the design is the pill shape selfie. It way too big for what it offers and as someone who's bombarded with notification I think that pill shape is gonna be a hindrance. The smartphone overall is a good package to what it offers and just great contender to the Xiaomi 12 Pro, S22 Plus or even the IPhone 13. If you still want a Huawei, this is the device.
It has 3D Face unlock hence the pill shaped cut-out. ATM if you want extra features you have to make compromises and for me, form over function is not something I agree with in tech, especially for just aesthetics.

i've tested and owned a lot of Snapdragon 8 gen 1 phones. my advise is to avoid SD 8 gen 1 phones for now and wait for SD 8+ gen 1 bcs 8 gen 1 has overheating issues compare to other Snapdragon CPU.

Hey man! Battery life wise it’s better on the HONOR. Camera wise, portraits and skin tones are better on Vivo, whereas zoom, ultra wide, and photo details are stronger on HONOR with their ultra fusion 😉
Think cos Honor and Huawei same group so not many would want anything to do with them... Brand recognition also part of why brands dont do so well compared to giants in the game like Samsung and Iphones...
Camera has really bad color and bad dynamic range, many times giving wrong white balance, a total waste of some high-end camera sensors. What a disappointment on this long awaiting phone to reach our country. Other than that, it's actually a very good phone with lots of great features and a nice price tag.

For my opinion, cost RM3999 in Malaysia really overpriced. I like this phone but the pricing killed off my interest for this phone as that price range can go for other good phones.
It's more about practicality and sustainability. The pop-up is just too impractical and hard to sustain as you're stuffing another mechanism in an already overloaded device.
You should go to others channel like Golden Reviewer if you want to see gaming test on smartphone, here Lim only do basic test for gaming without provide actual graph or data about performance/thermal/fps etc
