And so is Luntz in a less important role. Democrats and Republicans used to get along fine. Trumpism destroyed all of that and Luntz has recognized that again and again, and today identifies as an Independent. Don't tell me you think the Republicans that voted for Bush has the same opinions today as then. A lot of them don't. Why? Because of Trump and his constant rhetoric about disputing facts.

The difference between 2016 and 2020? The democrats were allowed to have their conspiracy theory of Russia/Trump collusion investigated for three years, whereas the supposed Republican conspiracy theory of 2020 election rigging wasn't investigated for three seconds. That'll change when the Republicans take over Congress and they can start by looking into the 51 state and defense department officials who supposedly gave the "expert" opinion that the Hunter Biden laptop was a Russian hoax. You better believe them covering up for Biden family corruption by claiming it was actually a Russian-Trump administration hoax affected the 2020 election when they released their opinion in October, 2020.

IQ45 said Putin was a genius when he invaded Ukraine. I don’t think that this would have had any kind of deterrent effect on anyone. IQ45 loves dictators and fascists.

Social media is nothing if not the people & their minds. Everybody gets the difference that our minds perceive is at mind level. We're part of humanity & humanity's largely known for its diversity of minds. What we "seldom" get is how much we rely on conviviality & kinship to feel balanced & belonging. We just don't know how not. At all levels, couldn't handle living otherwise. When our consciousnesses as adults reject the points of view of others making we won't then "copy" or get inspired by them, that drives us uneasy. Yes, there have always been minds rejecting civility & Democracy, sometimes proudly. Of course, rejecting civility & Democracy reflects discomfort towards these, which usually translates in a despisal of the welfare of others who won't despise the civic welfare of anyone. Civic welfare being all one can hope for, expect, in a salutary society, more than "civic" it naturally becomes repulsive from its utterly narcissistic/selfish "spiritually+ love me regardless" character.
