This video I finally utilized the unused/hidden engine sounds in the game, thanks to Timeless for making a compilation of them and giving the steps on how to apply them. This took me several hours to do... 1 because I'm a moron and got the steps wrong for hours, and 2 because I had to do countless restarts due to the game crashing. That involved making sure the sound worked on the car to begin with, making sure there was not another sauber in the race, finding a race that the sound worked on (sometimes it would be silent or corrupted and cursed), and being lucky enough where the game wouldn't crash in a loading screen. I also couldn't take TCS and ASM off because the settings menu kept crashing the game as well. Using hidden sounds is going to be a huge headache, but I think I got it down now. Let me know if you want more of these.
Please do, I’d like to try these myself and I’ve actually had a list somewhere when timeless first uploaded them for cars I’d like to try out with the hidden sounds but I never had the pc to emulate it. Idk where it is now but I’d say even if I did I’d have just as much trouble as you had with it setting it up😆.
Yes, I have specific requests: it's a crime that the Camaro, Corvette, and Ford GT race cars sounds like they do. Maybe you can give them some of the deeper sounds in the game? The Ford GT race car getting the road car sound would work just fine for example.
@@night2vyife I've tried doing a 905 hybrid with m5 v10, the sound defaults to stage 3 exhaust. I've tried with stock exhaust aswell, sound is far too quiet
@@SultanNizi3000GT Probably because they were kinda lazy on choosing engine sounds for certain cars. They use the same engine sounds for a lot of cars. Like the JGTC NSXs for example (Except for Takata Dome NSX), it shares the same engine sound as the BMW M3 GTR Race Car.
Do you play with controller? How in the HELL do i get my R2 trigger to work with the gas properly? It's either on or off. I downloaded that cheat to fix it, but of course, it didn't. At all.
Its my opinion but these races are too easy i would something more competitive can you make the cpu harder to race to me it will make more entertaining but still your vids are awesome keep it up
Well done mate, this is awsome! If I am correct, there are engine sounds from GT2 included in GT4 as well right? I always wondered if for instance the Vector M12 sound from GT2 could fit any V12 car in GT4, or the GT2 sound of the GT-one on the GT4 GT-one. Could this be possible as well?
I’ve only found a few sounds from GT2 so far. They’re probably not exact, but similar enough. The Camaro LM and NA Miata sounds like the turbo AI cars in GT2, and the BMW M5 with a semi-racing exhaust sounds similar to the HKS R33 Drag Car. I’ve probably heard others but didn’t recognize them

It's amazing just how many unused sounds are in GT4, it even has sounds used for Tourist Trophy in it
so they were working on TT at the same time than GT4
@@mattiapresti7295 it's a 900cc Honda Fireblade engine.
I like this sound for c9, better than original.
The C9's sound is almost similiar to C9 from From GT Sport. Nice 😊
what has kept PD from adding better sounds, especially when they already had them?!
Maybe they in rush for the release date
@@noobscoopsies1100 that doesnt happen at PD :D
@@karelpipa Yeah that's probably why GT5 was such a mess right... PD are just complete fuckups
Limitation on PS2 probably the hinderance
The low to mid RPM sounds accurate
Ive always someone to do this with these sounds. Actually forgot about it for a while until this came up

Sauber: "Rear Stability? Never heard of that..."
Shelby cobra 427 engine sound with a higher pitch
Please do the Peugeot 905 with an accurate V10 engine? Also Sauber finally sounds accurate lol
If I can find a good V10 sound that isn't a Viper lol
@@RowdyGT Perhaps the BMW M5 ‘05 would work, it has a pretty good V10 sound in GT4

Great engine sound
Literally sounds like the Dodge Charger of GT2 with racing exhaust
"Accurate engine sounds" 💀
Here's the automatic transmission of 5 gears (without whistling and annoying thing)!
Mercedes Benz SL500 (R230)'02: Stock
Why Polyphony Digital? Why the hell did you not use this sound for the C9?
I wonder why they used the same engine sound as the GT-ONE for the C9......

@@xxdeadchannelxx they really weren' lazy, the actually recorded over 500 cars for this game, something on the sound departement went wrong i guess
Can you do the Suzuki Escudo on the same track pls?
Maybe if I find the sound it had in GT2
@@RowdyGT How about an Engine of Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX from 1997 with Semi-racing exhaust?
It will be the real one!
and if you still modify the sound of the sale in S7
Revs too high but the sound is excellent!

Somehow this game now looks and moves like a Sega game lmao
