- I now understand why some of you ask for the scottish guests, It's in fact great conversation.
Kelly MacDonald & Craig Ferguson in the house! - Приколы
Their accents get progressively heavier as they talk to each other
They are Glaswegians, when 2 Glaswegians get together in a foreign land they forget their surroundings and think they back in Glasgow.
@Mike Davidson She is Merida in Brave. you'll love that :)
That's how it works with everyone.
It's a common phenomenon with people who share any accent.
@@pastykake897 yeah what's odd is when i pick up someone's accent .... i had to quit speaking to people who don't share my accent everyone thinks im mocking them
just came for the accent
Abhijeet Lagade same...same...SAAAAAAAME
Damn... yeah ok.... me too..
Yeaah... The funny thing is that I saw brave, transpoitting, but don't realized it, and just spotted the accent from netflix's black mirror... 😅 Sound sweet
Those are diet Glasgow accents. Normally you wouldn't understand them. My girlfriend is from Glasgow and her accent is quite annoying.
Lucky Man..
Her accent in No Country For Old Men was so natural... I would never have imagined her native Scottish accent to sound like this.
Her Scottish accent is ever stronger in Trainspotting
@@NikolayIskrev
She was putting on an Edinburgh accent in that movie
Not her real accent either
Albeit still Scottish .
I love how both their accents thicken the longer they talk together.
This. I was born/raised in Canada, but I've lived in the US midwest for over 30 years now. My accent started fading (according to Canadian friends) within months of moving here. It still pops "out" now and then, but it usually takes people a bit by surprise. That all changes when I get on the phone with family/friends still in Canada (southern Ontario). More than one person has commented how listening to my side of the conversation sometimes seems to devolve into a lot of "yeah, y'know" and "well that's what I was thinkin' eh?" It stops a bit short of going full Letterkenny, but there are times. :)
@@BobCampbelldevI think it's a shame for anyone to lose their accents entirely !! Canadian English is the easiest for foreigners where English isn't their 1st language. I am Japanese who's been living in the States for decades , but I realized that decades ago in Japan ! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
In Glasgow, you learn how to tone up and down your accent, like when your away from home, or visiting your posh relatives.
Kelly Macdonald is a rare gem amongst us dull and stupid rocks. What a precious personality she's got goin on there
It was always great when Craig had someone from Scotland on his show.
I wonder what people who are not from Glasgow think about them going on about the West End and the Ubiquitous Chip.
@@AlanHope2013 I bet they had a big dumb smile on their face the whole time. I know I did.
Billy Connelly!
The majority of Scotland sounds nothing like these two. They are pretty well-spoken and more Anglicised than most. They have also slowed down the gate of their conversation, we normally talk a lot quicker. Americans wouldn't understand if they spoke the same way as normal, "average" Glaswegians do
@@maldaley235 obviously they slowed it down for the audience
And she is RIGHT! “Mischievous” is the most commonly mispronounced word in America. Well done Kelly, you lovely lass 😍
I think is started with the shamens song Es are good.
Cuz we don’t say miss to vitch
I heard her voice for the first time and was like "IS THAT MERIDA" so I had to look it up and my gosh she is! Love that movie
OMG OMG I didn't know!!
And ravenclaw's ghost in deathly hallows part 2
@@idawg7332 OMG OMG OMG
Trainspotting
Affirmative! She is... 😎
that accent is like milk and honey for my ears
Don't put either of those things in your ears
Go to Glasgow. On an old firm game. See what you think afterwards! 😂🤣😄😅
Her accent is one of many things that makes her so uniquely hot
And sho we play our dangeroush gamesh
and her accent is not bad too
How can this show not be on anymore??? Best conversations on TV!
Women from Scotland and Ireland are not only gorgeous, they are down to earth. This is probably the most enjoyable interview I have watched from Craig's show.
The second interview was probably when Brave came out and both Kelly and Craig were in the movie together so I guess that's why Craig seemed to be having a lot of fun interviewing Kelly
❤🏴
Scottish women are rough
They are very down to earth !! Welsh , too ! Canadians , too ! Polish as well !! 👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
"The older I get the more harsher punishments I want for criminals".
I miss Craig more and more every day.
Gorgeous woman, and the accent tops it up.
Best Scottish late night talk show!
I can never listen to Kelly without thinking of “Brave”💕
I could listen to her talk all day about anything.
She ended up having another child. Craig was right!
@Elliott Kim The night's fairly draw in...
She’s a sweetie! No sexual innuendos which is so refreshing…and just fun.
....so true. She has a very natural down to earth and charming personality without any of that Hollywood conceit.
true..i think she is so natural, idk but she is like heaven
You can see her boobies online for free, the best kind of sweetie.
very true no need for sex chat BS
A beautiful woman and a very good actress. I also love a Scottish accent.
I have that accent too. Most comments I hear about my accent are negative so when I hear nice comments about my accent I appreciate it.
@@wonjubhoy ok, Kevin
all depends where from if you were over here youd fined we all sound differnt someone from glasgow sounds totally differnt from aberdeen
There are hundreds of Scottish accents. 🙄
@@wonjubhoy Don’t worry Kevin. We love you even if you sound like Groundskeeper Willy.
I was an extra in a small cast in a cramped kitchen with her, and between takes, she was describing to her co-star a bagel she made for her son for breakfast. The bagel sounded amazing.
I am green with envy, that is SO cool you being an extra and being in a scene with her.
@@ImmortalChaos Yes, dream big. One day you too could be an extra cramped in a small space with some actress I’ve never heard of.
@@seanmatthewking uh kelly macdonald is my favorite actress and is very well known. Her first movie was Ttrainspotting, she was amazing in No Country for Old Men (won Oscar for best picture), has been the start in multiple Hollywood films and overseas films. Has been in multiple TV shows. Including boardwalk empire. she just was the main character in season 6 of line of duty. The hottest show in the UK. Great voice actress. I suggest you watch No Country for Old Men. She is pretty much the only actress in the movie. She is scottish, but does an amazing west Texas accent in it.
@@seanmatthewking i can't believe how big of an idiot you sound. I think you may top the top 10.
@@seanmatthewking ruclips.net/video/C-iQldPiH64/видео.html
I just realized this is the actress that played the ghost of Rowena Ravenclaw in Harry Potter.
The ghost she played was Helena Ravenclaw. Rowena was her mother. I hate myself for knowing this.
@@iainh I questioned myself when I wrote it on which of the two names it was. Thx for straightening me out. :)
she also Merida from Brave ..and Evangeline from the first Nanny McPhee🙂
I /knew/ she reminded me of some character I had seen in Harry Potter
@@iainh are u kidding??? uncanny!
Outstanding awkward pause. And a delightful accent.
I just watched "No country for old men" .. She is absolutely stunning ..
"Oh you've got a place there?! How often do you get back?" "Oh about once a year. You should come by!"
hilarious ;D
rcoveyduc Sure! Throw some beads at people!
rcoveyduc .
P
First time I saw Kelly she played the schoolgirl in Train Spotting .
How the years pass it was 25 years ago.
She's lovely !
She was Josh Brolin's wife in No Country for Old Men. I'll never get over how actors lose their accents entirely.
She dropped the Scottish and gained the Texan. Her performance was spot on.
Greg Moore it’s called acting.
"LLEWELLYN!!"
And she played Dolly in Anna Karenina. Fabulous actress.
they just gain an american accent
Such a mesmerizing voice and accent, and she's pretty cool. Hope so see/hear her in many more movies/series!
Scots have the best accent worldwide :D That`s our nature :D
@@knoedeltoni1968 im inclined to say us irish have the better accent lol
She is the best, been watching her since Trainspotting and happy every time she pops up. She might have the best awkward pause I have seen; it wasn't overly theatrical.
Best awkward pause ever. Kelly really makes it.
Agreed - her awkward pause game is Oscar worthy.
What a lovely young woman! I do not know her professionally but I could listen to her all day long as she is just so wholesome.
Best know for Trainspotting and No Country for Old Men... wholesome may not be the exact word for either of those 😂😂
You can visually see her comfort level rising through the first show. Picks right back up in the 2nd. Craig has to be one of the best conversationalists on the planet.
Her role in No Country for Old Men was pretty awesome!
The Scottish accent is the sexiest accent on a woman.
the same concept applies to men
Italian men would like to disagree mate :)
I've always preferred the Australian big city accent. Not the thicker outback accent but the big city one.
Im gonna agree with you mate, that and also a British accent.
years agooooo I went ta a sandwich shop and there was a wee scottish lass workin' her way 'cross Canadae....
Oh me fookin god...she was hot ye see and then she open'd 'er mouth and I was in love.......fook me she went from a nine to a 23 inna bout 3 seconds.....
What is the fascination with meeting someone from your home country when you're abroad. I walk down my main street and I don't want to talk to anybody. Put me on another continent and it's, "Oh, hey, you're from home! Let's have lunch and talk!"
I love Scottish & Irish accents hope those countries never die
Long live the Highlanders....!
😄 if they haven't by now with all the shit they've been through they sure as hell ain't going to
people dont die in ireland, on account of there being no alcoholics or gays.
I'm half Scottish and half Irish, I'm not sure if you could handle my accent :)
@@NoxiousRob I'll be waiting
Love love love Kelly Macdonald, the voice of Princess MERIDA from Disney/Pixars “ Brave”...in fact Craig played Lord MacIntosh, wauza! Love that movie!
Notice.......She's probably one of the very few women on the show who don't lean toward Craig nor does he flirt with her.......Probably because she's from Scotland and understands his games..LOL
Only knowing her from No Country, I’m so pleasantly shocked and amazed she’s from Glasgow. That’s really incredible. She’s an amazing actress
Trainspotting.
@@1moreastronautttv no way. That was HER? Spud’s girlfriend (who flings his shit sheets all over her parents at breakfast)???
@@justinmix143 not quite. She was Diane. Renton's club girl. Renton's underage club girl. 😂

The accent is like finding a Q tip made out of silk and sliding it into your ears until it kisses your brain good night.
Cheezeblade That’s oddly specific, lol.
... such eloquence
Sounds like suicide by Q-tip.
Description is what I never knew I felt.
Q tips are painful, though.
What a natural beauty. Loved her in Boardwalk Empire.
Her awkward pause at the end of the first visit was epic!
BRING BACK THIS SHOW PLS GOD. BC IT WAS THE ONLY LATE NIGHT SHOW EVERRRRRRRRRRRR WORTH WATCHING.
Yep.
Bring him back and give him an all robot skeleton band headed by Geoff
Big fan of Kelly. She is, what you call-actress. Not just a pretty face that sells for actors these days.
From all interviews i've seen on Kelly, this is by far the most enjoyable that she has been. Probably because both are Scottish so they're connected to each other with Scottish humor that they only know
♥ her!
Loved her since Trainspotting.
she was great in her Black Mirror episode.
Aw, I love Kelly MacDonald. I've met her husband, he's really nice. Travis is my FAVORITE band.
Travis are excellent
I've had a crush on Kelly Macdonald since I saw her in "No Country for Old Men."
Goaltender Interference Yeah, Trainspotting.
Loved Kelly in Boardwalk Empire, but I really fell for her in this 2005 TV movie called The Girl in the Cafe, playing opposite Bill Nighy. Now that was an interesting film; where part of it took place in... wait for it: Reykjavik. ;)
Oh where it's an economic summit and thru work to end poverty?
Yep, that's the movie. :)
I love that film.
Iceland is in the North Atlantic...
Just watched The Girl in The Cafe as a free movie on RUclips. Fantastic!
Kelly.....
He defiled it with dark magic.
I know her as Diane in trainspotting.
She's mesmirising 😍
Craig Ferguson was so underrated.
Just watched "Operation Mincemeat" and this lady blew me away with her performing. Btw, she's so lovely and natural
My fellow Glaswegians ❤️
Craig is a good dude and Kelly is seriously gorgeous
Irregardless is not a word either
I miss this show SO MUCH!!!
Far off in sunlit places
Sad are the Scottish faces
Yearning to feel the kiss
Of sweet Scottish rain
Where tropic skies are beaming
Love sets the heart a-dreaming
Longing and dreaming for the homeland again
OmG I've been in love with Kelly since Trainspotting. Can't wait to watch this interview.
So beautiful and that voice....
She was excellent in Black Mirror "Hated in the Nation".
They both worked together as voice actors in the Film BRAVE as Merida and Lord Macintosh, respectively.
"You're a traitor to Scotland."
"I live there!"
"No, no, I LIVED there"
"yeah..."
Lol, that was her POINT, traitor 😉
I actually did bump into her in a cafe in the Village in NYC. She's even more stunning in person.
This is what a talk show is supposed to be.❤
She's is such a great actress and seems like such a sweet person.
Omg I was going to say "she should play Merida in a live action version of brave" without realizing she voiced her!!
Kelly is 45 and Merida was 16. Might be a bit of a stretch
@@EASYTIGER10 lmao I guess that didn't occur to me at this time
Such a wee cutie. Loved her since Trainspotting.
I’ll watch ANYTHING she’s in just to listen to her talk!!!
She’s so attractive!!
I just learned that Robbie Coltrane is from Glasgow too!! Yipee lovely people. :)
What an lovely young lady. Very wholesome.
She's freaking beautiful, and that accent!
Kelly is a brilliant actor.
Actress, prety sure she's a woman.
Such beauty is a rare flower !
Kelly is one of my favorites.
She was brilliant in Trainspotting as Diane.
I was (and am) so in love with her when she played "Margaret" in Boardwalk Empire . . .
I thoroughly enjoyed this!! Thank you!!
I know Texans who only knew her from No Country for Old Men and it blew their mind to find out shes Scottish.
Sheeeee’s adorable 🥰
I swear, women Scottish accent is the sexiest thing EVER!
First Time I saw her was in Gosford Park. She looks so much different now.
First I thought "how nice, a real live Merida from the movie Brave"... and only later I realized she IS the voice of Merida from Brave, lol
I just commented this lol
It is refreshing nowadays that actors don't go all out to permanently change their accents. I'm Scots so her accent isn't special for me, but her voice is sweet and fragile, yet strong too.ove her
She doesn't talk like that at home that's for sure
Love this clip! Great Convo been a fan of McDonalds since the first Trainspotting movie, Ferguson is so much better than anything on late night at the present, wish he and Letterman were still on!
My God her voice is beautiful.
Saw her in "no country" and fell in love. Master of accents.
These videos are SO great!! Thanks for posting!!
these older interviews remind me of how cool tv shows used to be
she wins the Best Craig Ferguson Awkward Pause Award ever of all time
She's such a sweetheart
I’m just embarrassingly in love with her. I really don’t even know why. I mean, she’s certainly an attractive woman, but not arrestingly so. I guess it’s the accent and hair. She also seems to be a rare celebrity that’s a pretty normal person, too.
It doesn't hurt that she's staggeringly talented
@@dielaughing73 Yeah, she’s great!
She seems modest too.
@@tolloromassi99 My brain hopes not TOO modest...

I'm so sorry I never watch Craig's show! He is hysterical!
Him & Conan are the funniest guys for real !! Lol 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
What a stunning woman
So cute and I love that accent. She was great in No Country for Old Men. That is the first time I had ever seen her.
Craig had the best late night show on TV! They were insane NOT to sign him on for another 10 years!
as I understood it, it was his decision to end it.. He felt like 10 years doing it was more than enough. Could be wrong bout that, or maybe I was misled, but pretty sure thats why we no longer get to enjoy new episodes.
@@ThePyranthos
Correct. He walked away
Walking away in your own terms is not something everyone gets to do! Do wish he was on tv forever though.
@@KingOfSmoothness
I agree! In fact, were I the head of the network, I would have offered him a 10 year contract extension, with an option to walk away amicably at any point that he chooses... AND provide an option to extend the contract for another 10 years, should he choose to do so. I would have made the deal too sweet for him to turn down.
He's THAT GOOD! He'd be THE top talent at the network; and he'd get top billing. 😋👍
He was sitting on the 2-hour spot left for Letterman. CBS wanted to kick him out several times, but Letterman didnt allow then. When letterman was quitting, he knew that he lost his safety net and decided to go on his own rules before they kick him out eventually, and it was certain it would happen
They should have this back on air. The host, and his many beautiful female guests were fabulous!!
Did not know she was married to Dougie. He's one of my favorite bass players.
Miss Kelly Mc Donald, your exceptionally gorgeous Scottish goddess, your husband is truly a lucky man! Jim Greszczuk ❤️
Her awkward pause was exquisite. It made me feel awkward. 10/10
