Mel I'm sorry, I have to disagree. ARMY fandom's weakness are a big amount of opinionated, loud, and/or childish fans.
I think we're justified in saying this, since ARMY get crap for anything. It's not a lie that when another fandom does something, it isn't blown up so much. I'm saying this in the most respectful way I can that you're not in our shoes, being the most hated Kpop fandom. We are, check nearly any site- it's common knowledge. Many non BTS fans have something to complain about involving BTS fans or BTS themselves all the time. It's frustrating. BTS is a group where many are watching their actions and fandom like a hawk waiting for them to do something wrong. Waiting for BTS or an ARMY to mess up so they can say something or add it to their list of 'why armys are the most terrible thing.' People act like ARMYs are a freaking plague. Ridiculed so often. Even though every fandom has its bad eggs, it's the one I happen to be in that is known as the worst one by tons of people. It gets to you, if I'm being honest. I feel victimized by definition, singled out for unjust treatment. It's even a thing for antis to act out under fake accounts to stir conflict. I see what you mean about pointing the finger and not owning up to things ARMY did...I've seen ARMY say bad and immature things. It's mean and of course it's not right.
The difference is that others let those ones represent all of ARMY. It's not fair that (from what I can see) it represents the whole fandom in non fan's eyes. Just mentioning, today I was just scrolling around not looking for antis, where I see a comment on a BTS article that a certain member should die. Then another one saying that all armys should die as well. It's not uncommon to hear. Did you hear about the thing where an ARMY tweeted an explicit adult video to BTS where she said a member's name while touching herself? Where a whole hashtag was made, full of ridiculing BTS and fans because of it, thinking it made BTS deactivate? Some fans did research, turns out the video was an ordinary porn video, they found the original...so an anti fan had added the audio of saying the member's name on top of the original audio before it was tweeted...yet ARMY was blamed. There's a lot more than that incident..
point was that I sure do feel like a victim, being blamed for many things so often. They could have used "is similar to" or "has the same kind of sound". But influenced implies that BST did it first and Teddy, the producer, got his inspiration from BTS which is an insult to Teddy who always followed his own creative path. Also the little things in the MV itself, that you mentioned seemed similar to BTS has been done before, mainly by YG artists. Look, I'm not telling you guys to delete your channel/video or anything. If I may comment, as Rapmon of BTS has said, it is the most popular style (speaking of Moombahton Trap) of music right now. It would be easy to see the similarities as they are both in that style. Spread K-pop love, not hate.

their in-house producer is TEDDY PARK we're talking about here. PLUS, a yg stan would know that blackpink already recorded 8 songs in 2014-2015 (pwf included) so uh-uh, they're not bts influenced.
both groups just happened to be using similar techniques such as synth lead, and their songs have a very unique chord progression, and that's all.
but this was three years ago these guys were probably not know much into the background of kpop back then so I can see why they said that.

one thing about KPOP (well POP in general), they recycle styles and concepts all the time.. it's not unusual to be reminded of some other groups when seeing one group performing, and that's okay.. even some parts of Lisa's rap in this song are playfully borrowed from GD's song.. just see it as a fun thing (easter egg maybe) and enjoy it, that simple #CHEERS

Wow, it's hot here in the comment section. But I'm not blaming these guys. In fact, I'm in the same shoes as they were. I can't help myself too. I'm a huge BP stan, but when I first listen to this, I also couldn't help but to recall BTS (the instrument or whatever you call it reminds me of BTS's Blood Sweat & Tears and other scenes in the MV reminds me of Fire). I also couldn't help myself from recalling other songs/videos when I watch something else too. It's the same situation like when you eat a dish at a restaurant but it suddenly reminds you of your mom's cooking, or when your boyfriend is wearing a suit and it suddenly reminds you of James Bond. But it doesn't mean that you're comparing them. It's just a mind game. Our mind constantly keeps on finding similarities in stuffs, trying to relate and organize them. You just can't help it. And hey, both BP and BTS are lit and talented in their own ways. So, chill and enjoy the music. Seek the positive! (*sips tea*)

Kpop songs will inevitably sound like a lot of other kpop songs, its bound to happen, doesn't necessarily mean there was an influence or it was a copy, it means that a lot of it can be trending within the industry at the moment, or that its aesthetics and styles are recycled within the industry or the label itself. But you're right Matt as well, there's been so many remixes of Playing with Fire and Blood Sweat and Tears, and you know what they actually sound good, plus you can sync a lot of the choreography for Blood Sweat and Tears with Playing with Fire at multiple points, someones already did it on RUclips and it looks fantastic too. So many butt hurt fans out there need rectal cream.

Yes, BTS is popular by now but Teddy write/produced this song 2yrs ago before BLACKPINK's debut and BTS a 1yr old boygroup that time *I think?*. That's not compliment esp in Teddy's position it's insult to him. He writes so hard and produced PWF 2yrs ago and you're saying it's similar to BTS. BTS got influenced by YG music esp in BIGBANG.
