Oh yes Don, I remember those iron steps very well. St. Jerome’s was the bus stop for Schuylkill Township students who attended TAHS. We climbed both set of steps to and from the high school, didn’t matter what the weather was like or what condition the steps were in, this was part of our daily journey to school in the 1960’s My friend broke his ankle and had to use crutches, there were no exceptions then, each day (during the winter months) he maneuvered the steps , sometimes they were snow covered and very dangerous. He had such courage and never complained.

I remember the red wooden steps going from Spruce Street up to the old cemetery on Van Gelder St.
Cosimo, The Old Cemetery (St. Jerome's) was on Nesopec and High St...one street over from Van Gelder.
