What great skill. It's excellent to see someone making something just for the interest of wether or not it can be done and from a viewers perspective being able to appreciate the process. No politics, no shouting, no anger just creating. Perfect.

Hey Izzy, the stuff you come up with is nothing short of genius. No kidding! Big fan of yours. You keep making them & I'll definitely keep watching them.. thanks for sharing bud 😆
If you show someone the completed spindle and then hand them a 4x4 going: "now turn this into 4 identical copies of that" the word "impossible" is most likely part of the reply you will get. So in my opinion the title is not as click-baity as it might seem. Combining the forward movement and rotation over the saw to get that specific cut and turning that into a jig for reproducible results is quite a skill. Thanks for sharing.
Cool jig. The result is pretty cool. It's not a shape you'll need very often. But when you do, it's nice to know a way to make it without a 4 axis CNC. Also, your voice has been really low volume in a couple recent videos (including this one).
This is why I subscribed to this channel in the first place: to watch you do impossible (insane?) things with this table saw. Mostly I wanted to see how you got the twist in there for this one. I was not disappointed!
another impossible /made possible by the wood wizard oor izzy the guy blows my mind still years on and still pumps out ideas ,used in a project!!! izzy bud i would love to see what you do with it in project bro , and if god had you on team he wouldve maybe made scotland a seperate island pmsl
Thank you for this video, I've just started my venture into table saw moldings until I can afford a nice router and all the bits. Your project here has confirmed practically any profile can be obtained by some math, planning and a touch of luck
Clever. Very clever. It's simple enough to do, but looks complex enough to be a fine table leg or cabinet support. Also, excellent tutorial. I liked the information you gave, describing all the parts, how they work, and the process itself.
That’s a really cool idea. I think that would make for an awesome lamp if you were able to drill through it for the wiring and then make a base for it.
Every time I get to thinking I am a woodworker, I see something like this and realize I am just making sawdust and wasting wood. Very nice. And thanks for the lesson.
very smart quick made cam/follower. add a second plank and the screwdriver (or something more securely fixed) would self guide itself and you would only have to push the stock through the blade.
Really neat idea. And delivery . if you put the top fence( the one that guides the rotation) with the proud side at the far end your jig it would turn itself as you push it through . I guess you could also set the top guide to be whatever profile you liked as long as it was smooth. Keep up the good work.
Hello friends. let us be grateful to our friend who posted this video sharing knowledge. It doesn't hurt to like and make a simple comment. It is the least we can do in gratitude for his work. thank you!
If you lathe it round on the ends, it would be a nice vase, lamp, ect. If you cut it long ways in half, layed it on its side it would be an awesome knife block.
I've gotten pretty creative with circular saws. This video lets me know I'm not completely insane ... sort of. Anyway, awesome, I got wood from this video.
I have a few sayings that I repeat to every one I know. 1 impossible means what everyone says cannot be done until someone does it. I love being that guy that does the impossible to prove that nothing is impossible. And believe me I have done some really hard to do stuff because someone said it was impossible. I had to prove them wrong. And I built some very radical cars. And pickups as a machinist and a welder fabrication expert I know what I am capable of even if others don’t
Great invention. My first improvement would be to make a slot for the screwdriver to ride in, instead of having to actually hold it up against the guide board. That way you could focus solely on just pushing the work through the cut. But yeah, great idea! And do get a dust collection system and try not to suck up all your neighbors in the process.
Well! I certinly enjoyed this video; I always am looking fr someone to give me a challenge! Ive done coves quite a bit; and beause everyone said "WOW", I thought I was h---- sh------. So thanks for taking me down a notch and putyou up a couple!!

Perfect.
You know he’s a master carpenter when he says this is pretty simple to set up, when virtually non of us could do this. You’re awesome.
True
Dude, the way your brain works is amazing. I woulda never figured out how to do that
Thus what happens when u smoke weed lol

I know right! I was wracking my brain trying to figure it out. I had the concept but his implementation is simple and genius.
I totally agree.
Amazing. The simplicity of this idea is just flabbergasting

KaBoom, Izzy Kills it again!
Fantastic Dude absolutely Fantastic!
Thanks Bro
Nothing you do is simple Izzy! Looks great.
What a great way to make wooden churros.
hahahahahaha i was wondering why i was hungry after making that ;)
i was thinking the same, and was very Izzy to make too.
Great, now I'm hungry too. 😐
i'm just gonna go get tacos now.
@@jltaco85 Could you bring me 2, please?
Izzy, you are a great teacher. I love the way you dissect a problem and figure out a way to get the job done.
Hi izzy. I don't post much but I do want to say is sure is nice to have you back, in form, and posting cool videos again. Thank You :)
than k you it so nice to be back to focusing on content
you are an amazing carpenter!!! enough said!!!!
thank you
I love how you do projects just to see if it will work. Thanks for being a bit scientist, a bit artist in the process!
You clever Mo’fer !!!! Awesome
Thank you brother
Good
Really cool. With a few tweaks and a little more control, this technique could make for some very interesting furniture legs.
You have an amazing gift like no other
Thank you Jordan!
I think this would look great on stair rails. Absolutely love the guide to turn the piece as you move passed the blade
Hey Izzy, the stuff you come up with is nothing short of genius. No kidding! Big fan of yours. You keep making them & I'll definitely keep watching them.. thanks for sharing bud 😆
Thank you so much for the very kind comment
Amazing and interested!

That's pretty close to the setup for rifling a gun barrel on a lathe. Very cool.
You've just made the main shaft of a lamp stand. ;)
Make another one and build a wooden supercharger!
just what i was going to say lol.
I was just thinking of a lampstand perfect! Or wooden supercharger haha
Use aluminum stock, make two pieces and you will have the makings for a roots style blower! Cool project!
Really cool!, but could hardly hear you for the music dude. (at the end).
That would make an awesome lamp with like a leopard wood veneer shade!
glue 2 halves that have groove down middle - lamp stand .
A lot of thinking went into that one. Thanks for sharing.
This is why I subscribed to this channel in the first place: to watch you do impossible (insane?) things with this table saw. Mostly I wanted to see how you got the twist in there for this one. I was not disappointed!

right! it so does look like one hahaha

Looks like you could apply this to a shaping table, or router table for even more options.
Om te zeggen dat ik in shock ben, is om niets te zeggen. Izzy je zoals altijd verrast.
"As The Cove Turns"
Interesting! You have a gift for thinking out of the box! I just might try this method as I dread carving spirals.
That would make an awesome looking table leg
That's really intuitive. I learned something i would never have thought of. Thanks for sharing the idea.
Hello from Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Canada. Thanks for sharing your great video’s please keep them coming.
Izzy, you never fail to impress me and I've been a carpenter in the UK for 20 years, not easily impressed! Thank you

Sweet countersink bit need me one of those.

There's some good application here. If you can join them or make it longer.
They make some cool post for stairs on a deck.
You re-invented the sine bar... good thinking now on to the first wooden rifle barrel ;)

one way to cut coves faster on a table saw is to use a wobbler daddo blade. cool project.

I actually made it and it’s awesome. Thank you so much for sharing. I’ve called it The Izzy Twist
I'm very impressed with your engineering skills! Genius!
Love ingenious ideas...great job!
great technique,I will have to try it, thanks !
It's very helpful, let's do well together, see you guys again
Cool jig Izzy. Those would make some nice end table legs.
it looks like a great way to finish the poles on the end of a stair way! or a water wheel
Definitely not easy. Awesome skills dude
Wouw....its very good....🤩
That was pretty awesome. I'm thinking table legs
Excellent ! Good idea and a nice job !
👍 👍
Pretty awesome Izzy! That "turned" out great. I am certain that you have done something similar in the past, way back when...................... :)
Very imaginative! Amazing what you can do with a bit of sideways thinking.
You should use a light and dark stain for each cut, alternate it so you get a barber poll effect.
Now I want to make some twisted cove table legs.
Very cool stuff, Izzy. I love it!

Dude that is good..... good guessament I think I'll try that. I've been doing wood work for most of my life and never tried that.
Great for stem of a lamp. Awesome ideal. Thanks I'll send you pics of what I come up with.
Impressive, simple jig and beautiful result!
Awesome cut, but I have seen this technique used before. Thanks
You should make a wooden supercharger, it would look so cool
awesome work Mr Swan!
Great video and a very clever jig / idea. And you just gave me an idea of how to make a guide for a rifling jig...
amazing woodwork 🙌🙌
It would make an interesting table lamp.
