I love Bryson's advise about playing from the red tee's to help promote consistency getting used to scoring lower. How many of you out there do this and if you do, do your buddies "razz" you for doing it? I personally think it is a great idea and my start trying that out this year.
Fun fact. At 4:55 you said #8 usually do not hit driver. This is true for most. When Couples was a member in the 90s he used to hit driver left off the tee with a high cut up and over the houses.
I constantly preach playing from the front tees to get better. Yet no one seems to ever play from the front tees! I absolutely give credit where I am today in golf, with that.
Bryson with the grind mentality… I have a little phrase in mind when practicing that helps with this consistency “Don’t practice until you get it right, practice until you can’t get it wrong”
FYI - On that first hole, you get relief from sprinkler heads in your line of play. No need to try and work around them -- "According to USGA Senior Managing Director of Governance Thomas Pagel, sprinkler heads are classified as obstructions because they are man-made objects. Under the current Rules of Golf, you can get relief from an immovable obstruction when it interferes with your stance, live ball or area of intended swing. However, if you happen to be playing a course with closely mown areas around the green and elect to putt, the rules also allow for the implementation of a local rule which entitles you to free relief if a sprinkler head is located within two club-lengths of the edge of the putting green, within two club-lengths of your ball and in your line of play."
Good recovery eagle on last hole….mindset should be like who cares what he does and expect he will make it and focus on your next shot only. Don’t hope your opponent misses keep the focus of your task at hand. Love the content and congrats on everything
Got nothing but love for the channel. Love the learning process as you come into yourself...that being said some camera angles need to change. I couldn't see three puts because the lighting was so dark. Much love. Keep up the good work
Hmm, it's not often I hear advice I haven't heard a million times or that isn't just a gimmick in golf. But Brysons advice about the red tees probably would have helped me a lot when I was a +1 handicap. I could shoot par regularly but any time I was under par I would always ruin it psychologically. Best score was a 68 and the way I played I should have had many scores much lower. Passed my PAT recently after an 8 year hiatus but I've got a lot of work to do.
People can say what they want about Bryson. He has the mindset of a winner and literally plays the game like no other on the tour. It takes a different brain and talent to get where he is at and branch out to other avenues like long drive and youtube. He's the type to literally try anything once and has no fear of failure. We could all use that mindset.
I once heard it said amateurs practice until they get it right whereas the pros practice until they don't get it wrong; Bryson basically said the same thing. Good fun match, keepem coming.
10:00 why does Bryson complain about literally everything always see him being a baby in PGA tournaments and now getting to hear it first hand. Like you said you were gonna land it three yards short and let it run up then when you flew it past the hole 5 yards and it rolled another three instead of saying you hit it too far you complain saying you have no idea what these greens are doing? You literally hit the shot you described hitting but hit it too far and it still did exactly what you expected it to do on impact.
Micah man this is so damn great to see! So happy for you with Taylormade announcement and getting to shoot content with guys like Bryson! Big things dude you're doing big things!

The thing I ABSOLUTELY HATED about this video, it wasn’t 18 holes!!! I also have to add something, if I could drive a ball 300+ yards I wouldn’t hit an iron off the tee. I’d be trying to hit the green every time with my driver. Just saying!!
