This video was slightly rushed (as I didn't feature some more optimal combos), but the idea behind this cute little exhibition is to showcase the various combos that I have discovered since Hilde was released.
Some of these combos prioritise getting Sword Regalia/Spear Regalia power-ups as opposed to doing damage. These power-ups are worth getting since Hilde has a scary mix-up while she's crouched and has Spear Regalia.
Having a Sword Regalia power-up gives you a very damaging i14 move that can knock down/ring out, which is very good!

Finally a video showing off some combos for her, I'm terrible at coming up with combos, so thank you for this video! I couldn't find anyone else with a combo guide up and the replays on PS4 didn't really do that many combos

Out of all the DLC characters, I'm having the most fun playing as her. It just felt so off not to have her in the base roster. She's here to stay. I hope you have as much fun playing as her as I do.

Good stuff dude! I've been labbing the heck out of her since her release so I'm glad someone finally made a combo video for her. There's definitely quite a few combos I would've never figured out on my own, like that bound from the RE after LH cB4 is one of the weirdest things I've seen in this game lol.
Likewise, and I love how it's so hidden, lol. The only other character that can bound with a RE is Cassandra (and the damage of using Cassandra's RE in a combo has been nerfed in season 2, lol).
After practicing more, I've discovered more optimal combos and other moves that Hilde can combo off of. I'll feature them in my ranked session video when I upload it!

Sweet, I'm lookin' forward to it! It'll be cool to see how you do it in game 'cause it sure does seem crazy hard to get most of those combos mid-match.
@@albescentrose7225 Hello Zasalamel main here. He also has a RE bound after lethal hit using 44 A+B but its extremely rare to get that lethal hit since it requires the opponent to back step.
@@sean_image I just tested that now and you're right! That RE bound combo went completely under the radar for me since I don't know that much about Zasalamel (and I avoid fighting him when I can, haha). Thanks for sharing that Sean.

Dark soul calibur
Hello fantastic video! I was just wondering what where the inputs for the 6:25 combo? I was digging through the move list and couldn't find the inputs beyond the 66b+k sequence

The inputs for that combo are "LH cB4, 22_88BB:A".
Getting the just frame on the final hit tacks on 10 points of extra damage, bringing the total damage to 107 (if you don't get the just frame it's a measly 97).

Cool work but please try cutting the seconds after the combos are over,the video is unneccesarily long
My apologies if the cuts between combos are too long. I'm still trying to find that frame of time that isn't too quick, but not too long. I just let the combo count disappear before making the cut, lol. I'll definitely take care and make sure to make the cuts a bit shorter in the future.

What i don't understand about Hilde yet is how you can use the hold attack without pressing the correspondent button
It's a tricky mechanic to get the hang of (especially when using both sword and spear charge attacks in a combo). No other character in the roster plays like Hilde.
I'm only used to this unique charge mechanic because I used her a tiny bit in Soul Calibur V.
Don't worry man, you'll get the hang of it in no time. Just practice!
Been trying to do the unlockable fierce Chimera I'm so lost
No worries man, I always thought those two charge moves were ridiculous.
You have to hold down the attack button for at least 30 seconds before you are able to execute the unlockable attack.
In the description for the UA Fierce Chimera, when they say to hold down the button "for a while", they mean a fuckin' while. Half the time of a round, no less. Lol.
Hopefully, you can now do the UA Fierce Chimera in training mode at least!
The combo at 0:27 is whiffing on sophitia (the backturn)
After further practice, I discovered that the combo will not work on a few characters. It's character specific. My apologies for not disclosing that in the video.
Very good vidéo, Hilde is one of my favorite characters , but how do you the combo ah 1:16 to 1:18?! I try this but when i turn , the opponent is already down

The timing for that combo is incredibly strict. I mean it, very strict. You have to make Hilde turn around instantaneously by cancelling her from BT using "G". After cancelling the BT by guarding, immediately follow up with 6A+B.
I still can't land this combo online consistently. But it can be used in a reversed ring out combo, so it's worth learning. Good luck!
how to activate the power up without soul charge I cant find it in movelist?
That feature is only exclusive to Training Mode. The two power-up inputs are at the bottom, under the "Dual Button Attacks" section of Hilde's move list. You press "4A+K" for Sword Regalia and "6A+K" for Spear Regalia.

@@Smilish__ The one at 00:27, yes? This one is incredibly tricky to land in a real match. You have to have her horizontal move held to its charge BEFORE launching with 3B. You also have to have the Sword Regalia power-up in order to perform the c5A6A+B. The inputs for the combo are "3B, SWR c5A6A+B, BT B+KA, 6B+K".
Also, the SWR c5A6A+B can whiff against characters with smaller hitboxes like Talim and Amy, so be weary of that when facing them.
Also (under the assumption that you might not know this) BT means "back turned", SWR means "Sword Regalia" and "c5A6A+B" simply is the input and notation. The "c" means charge, as in you have her charge move held down and ready for use. The "5" simply means "neutral". As in, you are not holding any direction down when you press a button.
