Just have to say this. It is so refreshing to see a media outlet openly criticising a bike with the brand literally in the room. Every other influencer or journalist seems to lust over it and blow smoke up BMW's arse.
Dear Capt. Vanity, I'm very willing to declare that I'm with you on the topic of looks being important. A great deal of joy and satisfaction from bikes, and cars, comes from looking at them. No shame there. If you have 3 bikes in front of you, all 3 are equal in many ways (200hp, great handling, great brakes, great ergonomics, price, blah, blah)...but 2 are ugly and one is not why waste time with the ugly ones?? PS Panigales are ugly! Sorry everyone.
4:35 is that in a linkage? cause it being that vertical would make the suspension so freaking linear how did they pull off that geometry id love to see in-depth suspension analysis
For a top of the range version, why bother with parts that won't make it to the track once the bike is prepared for racing? Take the Marzocchi forks that are replaced by Ohlins
Barons right.. if you’re expected to pay top whack and they’re adding blingy bits, you’d think you’d get your choice on paint colour. That aside, I’d love a go on one.
Bang on with the lack of colour options. I've never understood this. With all manufacturers annual or biennial 'upgrades' often consist of some actual upgrades and a new colour scheme, which given the lack of bodywork on a motorcycle compared to a car is baffling. BMW cars come in over 100 colour options - how difficult would it be to offer the same for motorcycles? BMW are the company to do it IMHO - they seem more amenable than other manufacturers to changing the status quo. It's still a beautiful motorbike though.
Well that should shut the people up that say your up BMW’s ass. You stood in there fancy show room and said openly what you do and don’t like about the bike. Well done lads keep it up

Not a fan. 30K for cheesy sticker package, no Brembos, no Öhlins full package, BMW has not compiled an outstanding winning heritage on the pro racing stage (MotoGP, WSBK) except 6 Dakar Rally Championships. I'll take Ducati V4R or V4 SP, Honda CBR 1000 RRR. BMW just seems to fail at winning races.
I'm still confused about this bike. If they wanted to win races abd get people to use them on track why not start with parts that people are going to put on it anyways like woodcraft clip ons and rearsets? Racing isn't cheap and little things like that would certainly entice racers.
@@stephenmcqueen4029 The bike already cost a fortune. Why not? And how much would it cost compared to designing and producing oem parts that most people will replace anyways?

I'd love to see bmw go all out with a HPsauce successor. Carbon everything, frame, fairing, swingarm, wheels. Front swing arm, full rider aids, and that awsome audible traction control 😩. Hybrid engine with a kers type of set up. Maybe a 3 cylinder 750cc to free up some weight. Electric supercharger. I'd also like to see it road legal. They'll never do it obviously. No need to invest all that mkney when they already have the best road bike.
16:00 5k on rim tape, anodised bobbins, shorty levers, crash mushrooms, purple tint headlight covers, tyre pen, coloured chain and helmet mohawks
And a short slip-on can?
I'm amazed by how they managed to fit the entire BMW product presentation building into their tiny news studio

The S1K carbon wheels are still cracking. Safer with the forged wheels.
Glad someone said it. Every one else seen at the track has issues.
If your not sure who Danny Buchanan is . He's won a British superstock championship by winning every race he finished 🏍🤯😎✊
Makes a pre reg delivery mileage standard S1000rr look an absolute bargain at 16k 🤔
that M4 coupe in the background is "gopping" as James May would say.
