Hello Foodie Folks,
Today I visited the most renowned bakery of Mumbai which is in Vakola Santacruz East. It's the Vienna bakery which has been here since 1959. This place is certainly a hidden gem. Inspite of the bakery being situated right in the interiors of Vakola it never fails to entice its customers. It's very well known for its Rich Plum Cake | Chicken, Mutton & Veg Patties | Mutton Hot Dog | Sliced Cake | Mawa Cake | Rum Balls | Croissant | Chicken Cutlet | Christmas Sweets and many more. I was totally surprised to know that the ones who were aware of this bakery have been visiting this place happily from so many years irrespective of their long distance travel to reach here. The one that really brings a smile on the customer's face and a satisfaction to the heart was their chicken, mutton patties and the plum cake. I remember this iconic bakery since my childhood days as I use to visit my cousin who lived there ....my favourite was the strawberry cake, and the scrambles they used to sell in kilos ....there were no tall buildings,no metalled roads, only smoke coming from the burning rags, I missed those days 🥰🥰and Vienna 😍 thanks for sharing ❤❤❤

I left the country as a teenager in the 80's. Our highlight of the weekend used to be a visit to this amazing family bakery after mass. I still remember the delicious sweet and savoury dishes. Having lived in countries with the best bakeries, I still rate it as one of the best.
I am in Africa now.I saw the Bakery being built.i was about 8 years old.we used to play hide n seek in the big OWEN.
MR N MRS APOO were very hospital and humble n generous.
We were like Family. We still maintain the relationship with the grandchildren INDU N TARA.
Oh the memories are great and with a heavy heart i recall this season.
The Aroma lingered for months and even though we relished the aroma every minute we wanted to have it for our Evening Tea.
Every time i arrive in Mumbai.My first breakfast has to be the Patties from Vienna.

Vienna Bakery which is located in Vakola, Santacruz East is not like before with regards to the quality of cakes and are priced high which is not even worth. Celejor is one of the topmost bakery in Santacruz West

Mumbai's No.1 plum cake for ages. The first ' Rich Plum Cake " was launched by them. All the others with that name tag are just me toos. The bakery with a heart, lowest level of preservatives, short shelf life. You can confidently give your kids. Not like branded stuff sold by MNCs and big brands which would last for months.
Having left bandra a long time ago this Vienna is something new

Vienna plum cakes don't taste the same, they are really dry almost like sawdust in your mouth

Merwans is more expensive. They are giving 300 gms for 150. So 400 would be 200 !
