I think the reason why most people don't want to see bossing with really good gear is because for a lot of players watching these videos, that gear is very far in their future. They want to know if they can do it too with scuffed setups. Seeing gear closer to their budget makes what you do more relatable and helps gives them confidence that they can Boss too. Gotta say though man, I love the content and love the format of this series. You give a lot of good information about your setup+bosses and you actually evaluate your gear+supply costs appropriately. Keep up the great work man, much love!
Oh I definitely understand it, and it actually causes me to think through my purchases so I honestly don't mind a limited budget. I enjoy the added challenge of using cheaper gear, I just wanted to poke fun at it
I'll try to add in conceptually what cheaper gear could be, but there are bosses that require decent gear to be manageable - GWD bosses being prime examples. I will be trying to do non GWD bosses with cheaper gear (similar to the Zulrah video I did on episode 2) and I'm definitely open to doing cheaper builds when it's reasonable, but doing this GWD with really welfare gear will slow down trips and kill speeds significantly to the point where it'd be unfun. I do have plans for 10m gear on DKS, sub 2m barrows gear run, have some prelim plans for KBD and some other low / mid level bosses, but GWD is a bit difficult to go under 25m on. Appreciate the feedback as always
i understand that you have rigour but i feel the majority of people watching use eagle eye.....coudve just used that bc rigour throws all this off for players that are not super rich
I understand where you're coming from, but this is one of the more difficult bosses to solo consistently, so I wanted to make my experience a but more manageable. While I want this series to give a realistic idea for people with budget gear, I also want to use something a bit higher tier when the situation is appropriate. Eagle eye and steel skin is a decent budget replacement
Man if you're trying to do God wars bosses without at least 70 prayer you've lost your damn mind. In the first place can you guys complaining about these things even afford this setup? I'd say if you play osrs for over a month and your bank isn't worth at least 15m then you're wasting your time. You can grind your skills up in a few weeks and make money easily. Catching 1m worth of Karambwan takes like 2 hours at level 70. Doing 1 weeks worth of birdhouse runs you make over 1m, and the requirement for that is very low hunter and quests. Getting rigour takes a few mil it's not that expensive when you've trained your skills up.
Detoxive yea lol was a big noob back then xd. Sitting around 1.5b bank but i dont play much on that acc due to playing a HC. Anyway great point. Rigour is not hard to get after getting 1-2 raids drops or doing vork/zulrah/hydra for 1 day. Cheers mate
I’m an avid pker but do enjoy pvm on occasion; I don’t really watch any pvm videos, but I love your channel bud. You have great editing skills, flow, and ‘nerd charisma’. You make me excited over... killing the same boss. That’s honestly an impressive skill. Keep it up man! Love the content.
Love this series but one thing I would like to see is recommendations of what you could do if you had just an extra 5,10, 15 or 20m. As an example would it be better to use acb fury and crystal shield, or would it be more beneficial for an anguish odium and dcb lots of people want to see lower than 25m but for someone like me who has done alllll combat through slayer and am now getting into bossing sometimes my budget may be close to 40m but I don’t know what upgrades are better than another. Thanks for any feedback and keep the videos coming
That's actually a really good idea. I'll try to include like an 'honorable mentions' list for items that didn't make the cut in the next episode. That being said, for sara, based on the cost and usefulness of items, I'd probably go Anguish > ACB > Top tier items (pegs / arma) and stick with C Shield for the defensive bonus.
Wearing the serpentine helm and using the BP on the minions as long as the BP hits the minion while wearing the serpentine helm the minions get venomed. good option of getting rid of minions quickly.
Fair enough. I try to follow the 'rules' as closely as possible, but I am willing to bend them if I think it will make the content slightly better. For example, going a little over for the rune pouch greatly increased the kills per trip (by saving 2 inv spaces) making the stream content smoother and a bit better overall. Appreciate the feedback, I'll try to be more diligent about adhering to the rules I set.
becareful posting those short YT vids for twitch adverts too. YT has been striking people for that since it takes viewers off of their platform. The video cannot be solely purposed to remove users from YT. I don't commnet much but I love your vids. Long time sub here man.
Yeah I saw that recently which is one of the biggest reasons I'm fully stopping from doing it now. Glad you enjoy the videos though, much appreciated man
The stats would be difficult since I don't have an alt and my ironman is still a but away from being able to do this, but I've been doing my best to make the budget setup cost what is minimally required for do the boss comfortably (10m for Zulrah and 25m for Sara). It would be very difficult and slow to do either of those bosses before you can devote that much money to your gear. I am working on getting my ironman up to the point where I can do Bossing til Broke episodes with that character, and he has lower stats, so that might be a little closer to what you're looking for.
You're right. I'm definitely not at Sara GWD, I definitely didn't state at :30 that the 10m was a budget for supplies, didn't explain the budget gear restrictions of 25m at :52, and I most DEFINITELY didn't explain the series concept at :17 . I see your point.
1:11 sooo this vid is actually loot from 80M, which is precisely not what people wanted, okay. If it was that bad killing Sara without any high tier items then you proved the point that people were looking for - don't do Sara on a low budget, try something else.
This is loot from 10m at the sara godward dungeon boss with budget gear for the encounter. It is also episode 3 of bossing til broke, so the title seems to match the content very well.
Wow that intro was incredibly long. Over 2 minutes before you get into the content isn't pleasant for the viewer. I wanted to like the series but I couldn't get into it. If it was something like 'Killing bosses with 30m bank' or something simple and catchy I think the series would he more successful. Just my 2 cents. No hate just sharing my opinion.
Well I've gotten the opposite comment when I don't clarify the idea behind the series up front so there's definitely a balance. I'll try to condense if for the next episode. Cheers.
JosephsPlace Guess you can't make everyone happy haha. All good though. You had 25m gear and 10m cash to start with. Would have been awesome to see the 35m cash in the inventory. Than hit up the GE buying all your gear (fast forward) than using the remaining cash for supplies. I'd say 35 to 50m seems like an ok bank size to start getting into bossing for an average player/account.

If you do a lower gear budget, could you show what the higher gear could be?
I think the reason why most people don't want to see bossing with really good gear is because for a lot of players watching these videos, that gear is very far in their future. im lvl 107 and have a 700m 500m for lvl 126 is freaking low as hell if people dont have 500m+ at lvl 100 cmb youre doing it wrong.
Stop using "scuffed" lmao

got this video as recommended, must say that I loved it, earned a sub :)
Appreciate it my man
didn't know you were working on another one of these! nice surprised in my sub box
Wearing the serpentine helm and using the BP on the minions as long as the BP hits the minion while wearing the serpentine helm the minions get venomed. good option of getting rid of minions quickly.
Another great video, thanks man. Keep up the good work!
Thanks to you and the black chin method I got an acb on my 39th kill!
Let's set a challenge and not follow the rules!
Are you complaining that I went over ~1m on my gear budget because of the rune pouch?
Not a complaint my good sir, just an observation :D
Fair enough. I try to follow the 'rules' as closely as possible, but I am willing to bend them if I think it will make the content slightly better. That was Borderlands style intro wasn't it?
It was heavily inspired by borderlands, yeah
Next do DK's with 10 m budget for gear and supplies
I have no idea why people are disliking this video so much. You always make great content
Skip to 11:10
I subbed to your channel! Hope to be on your level one day!

Bro can u do bossing for People with 75s Stats and max 10m Setup ? would help mostly of the osrs Community i guess

Add 16 mil to all of these calculations...
For what?
why...
Lol did I just get click baited?
Did the content not match up with the title?
The title doesn't match to anything you said in the first 1 minute of commentary. So to answer your question, no not at all. lol

JosephsPlace don’t get me wrong it’s good content but you used a lot more than 10m worth?
The 10m is for his supplys
Like Christian said, I used 10m in supplies. I have a separate gear budget which I explained early on in the video.
So click bait..
Anyone have some rng prayers or something. I am currently 1k kills dry of a shard at gorillas
