Love Love LOVE the dress,,,it's so you, Jana, " the Mother of all Hipsters"...it's perfect for dancing around the Midsummer fire under the moonlight ! So happy to see the adorable Battenburg again...so sweet...Congrats on all things worth celebrating Enjoy !
Hi Jana. It is Monday, June 26, 2023, and it is a very hot day in Raleigh, NC, where I live. It is 90F and you have to convert it to Celsius. I like your new multi-colored dress. You did a good job finishing it in two weeks. It is a lot of work. It looks beautiful on you. I hope your kids and hubby and you are doing well. I like the way you took an elastic cable to make the ruffle which makes the dress fit well. I finished the multi-colored lap blanket all knit in garter stitches and it feels so nicely when I cover my legs. I am happy how it came out and I used a lot of yarn that I have to make it. I am working now on a full blanket 150 stitches in garter stitches and I am more than half done. It also have used a lot of yarn that is in my collection, and I am glad that it is used for good use. I am enjoying your older videos that you made, and they make my day. All your knitting items look great. Take Care.
Greetings from Wisconsin. We. don’t celebrate Midsummer. We celebrate Independence Day on the 4th of July with fireworks over Lake Michigan and picnics with family and friends. Love your new dress and sweater. Thank you for three years of podcasts. Wishing you many more. Take care.
I had a most wonderful Midsummer in Lapland. The sun was shining through the night, we swam in a little beutiful lake, went hiking, had very good smoked salmon and new potatoes for the dinner... 😊
Dear Jana, just wrote a comment requesting you put together a neon set for the Granny socks……should have waited until the end of your episode. 🙃 Wishing you every success for your yarn festival and have a happy and healthy summer. ❤
I love your grannies in a row! We don’t have midsummer here, but it would be lovely to sit and knit with you in your beautiful yarn. Thank you for sharing your knitting and your life.
How nice to hear about your midsummer celebration. It's not a holiday or even an event that many people here in the USA know about. But I lived in Germany for 13 years where I have very fond memories of midsummer. When my daughter was in Kindergarten we used to all hike out of the village and have a big bonfire and then kids 'cooked' Stockbrot on big sticks in the fire. Such great memories! Your dress is wonderful!
Jana,🎉 Congratulations on 3 years of podcasting!Your Dress is just Beautiful! It looks so nice on you! Glad you are enjoying Midsummer! I look forward to my visits with you! Thanks for sharing your lovely projects and flower garden with us! 🎉Happy Anniversary🎉 too!🦋💝
We had a lovely evening on midsummer. We went to visit my brother and sister in law and had a bit of a feast together. Then we went and enjoyed a lovely sauna as well. Perfect relaxed and fun midsummer celebration.
Jana, nice to hear that you celebrate Midsummer in Finland. Of all the podcasts I watch, yours is most definitely my favorite. Thank you for sharing your art and your life with all of us. I work part time at our local LYS, and a couple of weeks ago a lady who was vacationing here stopped in, looking for some local yarn. We got to talking about podcasts we watch and were very excited to find that we both love you. Thanks again, you make my day bright and I so look forward to your podcasts
Congratulations Janna for everything, your wedding anniversary, your podcast anniversary and finishing your beautiful dress for your midsummer celebrations. I love the neon colours you’ve been working with lately. Thank you for all you do! You could call your beautiful yarn that you dyed ‘Midsummer’ or midsummer pastels.
Great episode 🧶✨ The buttons look perfect on your cardigan. Not green at all! The dress is so beautiful and suits you perfectly! The ranouculous do not like frost, I guess finish winter was too cold for them! I love the outdoor video - you look more energetic there, even if it is because of the Moskitos😜 Love from 🇨🇭
I had a very relaxing and quiet Midsummer weekend. It was fabulous and just what I needed. That neon sock set of yours is like a dream. No wonder so many covets it, me included. Thanks for all the colorful inspiration you give us in abundance. Happy Summer!!
Hi Jana, I love it when you film outdoors in your yard. The flowers are beautiful and your yard looks great. Oh but the mosquitoes. Our son lives in Alaska and your outdoorslooks like his area, along with the mosquitoes. I am so fond of your spring colored yarn hanks. Also your dress is perfect for the midsummer activities you are enjoying. Keep up the great work. May God smile down on you.
I love your cloudbow dress! We don’t really celebrate Midsummer here in the UK but we do celebrate the Summer Solstice on 21 June. I would love to win your beautiful mini set. Congratulations on your 3rd anniversary and thank you for all your lovely episodes ❤❤❤
Hello, moi Jana and Franny, it isn't mid summer here. I live in the southern hemisphere in Australia. Happy Podiversary! Thank you for guiding us in knitting since 2020, Much appreciated! :) :)
The yarn you dyed recently- I’ve seen that color before- in summer skies with clouds and sun at the sunset over the coast of Baltic sea. It’s still before my eyes - the sight was unforgettable. Midsummer..
Wish it was MIDSUMMER! Just really dislike the heat!! I love all your projects, so fresh and pretty!! You have inspired me to track down all my neons!!❤❤ Best line...you are the MOTHER OF ALL HIPSTERS!😂😂😂
Love all your podcasts. I live in the US, and was not aware of the Midsummer celebration, until last Wed. My granddaughter is in Paris, and there was a big street festival outside their hotel. They found out it was the Midsummer celebration. I turned on your podcast this morning and you are also talking about Midsummer. What a coincidence. To hear about it twice in one week, and didn’t know about it previously. Hugs from Missouri, USA
I always celebrated midsummer, is ma wedding anniversary. With my husband we go every year to the place where we got married, have small champagne and analysts our past year and what we wanted accomplished in year ahead. When we planned our wedding we chose midsummer-the longest and most beautiful day of the year ❤
Midsummer is one of my favorite holidays. Usually we have a big celebration in our garden with a Maypole, garlands for our hair and lots of good summery food. This year we did not celebrate and I really missed it. Thanks for the special podcast! 🌸🌷🌼
Hi! My daughter and I love, love, love your channel! We love your whimsical style and sense of humor. We have no midsummer, as such in the US, but just celebrated our Independence Day. We watched fireworks through the back window, across the soybean field.
Your new socks are really beautiful such a summery colour. What are paetrons ? Your dress looks lovely on you. The cardigan looks so summery Your car knitting looks good. I love your Bertie and Poppy Bags. The specially dyed yarn is awesome. Heippa ❤😊
Thanks for the episode! For me the summer starts from midsummer some how. 💐☀️ People are enjoying the midsummer weekend with friends and family, eating good food etc. Lovely time!
Ohhhh the yarn you made with your patrons is wonderful! Here in Washington USA our midsummer is cool for a few days then hot for a few days. The weather doesn't know what to do! But vegetable plants are blooming and soon we will have tomatoes, cucumbers etc. Thanks you your Podcast love it!
Hi! Happy Misummer days too! In Poland we had traditions of Midsummer Night, young people met by the rivers, girls woven wreaths which were floated in the water together with candles. Now it is bit forgotten, unfortunately.. I was lucky to be on polish mountains and spent this beautiful time with my BFF❤️ All the Best for you, Marlena
I love your dress and your neon nails to match! I always try to watch your episodes in the early morning with a cup of coffee. In midsummer I can enjoy this activity outside under a lovely dwarf maple!
Our midsummer also was relaxing. We were at home. I just knitted and watched movies. We had lot of rain and it was very cold so that’s why knitting and movies was the way to celebrate this year.
Midsummer is lovely here in Southern California. However, we don’t get celebrate officially here either. 🎉 I love to see all of your beautiful knits, and to hear your stories. ❤
Midsummer is also my wedding anniversary. We are 16 years married this year. We took a lovely sunshine drive along the coast and stopped for dinner on the way home. It was a beautiful day. 😊 Happy anniversary to you both.
I love your dress. The socks you made are awesome. I bought the pattern and it would be amazing to do them in the midsummer mini set. We don't celebrate here. It's hot next week the high ate all above 100, even more.
Happy Midsummer! Who needs a fire when you have that lovely swing to curl up in & watch (or not) the sun set. Very pretty yarns. You’re gonna make someone very happy, so thank you for sharing. ❤️
Congratulations on your podiversary, I've just loved watching it over the years. :) Happy Midsummer, it's so lovely seeing your garden and summer knits. We're in winter in New Zealand but it was such a strange mild day today, 19 degrees and sunny! Am sure it'll be cold and wet next week...at least good for knitting!
Happiest anniversary to you and your hubby. Happy midsummer Happy podiversary. I am always inspired to watch. Your dress is so cute and bright and fresh looking. I can’t believe it is 3 years. Thank you so much for 3 years of sharing your time, inspiration and creative energy. For midsummer my hubby and I sat on the porch, he read his book and I knitted on my Skeindeer Holiday cardigan🤣😂You inspired me to make this Xmas sweater. I bought the pattern for the jumper but decided I should have cardigan. We might be in Florida and I think a cardigan is more practical. I just added steek sts. I will set goals each month. It is so fun! White with gold green and red. Full on Christmas colors! I love your bright fluorescent colors. I don’t see them in my LYS . Sari Nordlund just did a Kuutar tank in a green that is so fun. I enjoy how you use color pops in your knits and think maybe I could do such a thing. Jana thank you for your time these 3 years I am grateful .
Jana I always look forward to your podcast. I love your color choices for your projects. You have inspired me to add neon colors into my knitting. It sounds like you had a lovely Midsummer.
Hi there from Cape Town, South Africa. It's winter here...lots of rain this here. No Midsummer at present.. I enjoy your podcasts every week and like the tHings you make! Have a great week!
I love your dress it is wonderful and a happy Midsummer to you. Unfortunately, last week I was leaving a yarn shop with a bag full of wonderful yarn and fell. I now have a broken arm and can’t knit for a while but I am enjoying watching my RUclips friends thank you for bringing some joy in my life right now.
Happy Midsummer Jana. It’s not something we normally celebrate in the UK but I was very pleased to take our dog for a walk at 10.30pm and it was still light 😊
LOVE THAT DRESS 🤩 My midsummer was very calm, my kids are almost adults so they didn't want to join us at our summer cottage. I spent my midsummer swimming, rowing and knitting, and of course eating grilled food 🌞
Midsummer for you means the shortest day has arrived here in New Zealand and we are back on our way to summer again... i enjoyed watching you frolic in you garden in your beautiful dress... loving on Frannies new look too.

My midsummer party was to have a quick training session with my dogs and then I went to heat up our sauna by the lake and just sat there alone and listened to the summer night. Wishing you the loveliest other half of the summer! 😄
Happy Podiversary! My midsummer was very much low-key, I spent it alone, but luckily I had my knitting to keep me company. By the way, after seeing your Cloudbow, I have become obsessed about it! I want one (or two, or...) too!
I spent midsummer on a narrow boat in the uk . Knitting and watching the wildlife. Congratulations on your 3rd year of entertaining us with your lovely crafts ❤
Hi Jana! I thoroughly enjoy your episodes. I love your 👗. It looks so nice. Happy Midsummer. Your cardigan is beautiful too. Love the colors. Take care and happy knitting and crochet. Thanks for the episodes. They make me smile.
Midsummer is not officially celebrated in Canada. It is one of my favourite times of the year. Usually the grass is still green. Not this year. Flowers are out and the garden is beautiful. Loved seeing your flowers.
Franny❤❤❤❤❤! Her summer outfit is perfect!!! I just love all your projects, I get so inspired after watching you, but, I promised myself I would finish at least one of my WIPs before I cast on the Cloudbow 😂.... easier said than done! Oh...and commented to soon, hehe... Happy midsummer! We are of scandinavian heritage, so had always celebrated with a family outdoor weekend at the beach while growing up . But, we are also a bunch of commercial fisherman so as soon as we were old enough it was off to Alaska to work. I miss both...now it's thunderstorms and the beginning of fire season here on the eastern slopes of the Cascade mountains. However I am surrounded by beautiful wildflowers and a peaceful creek feeling very happy.
I having been watching you since episode 56, so I decided to watch you from the beginning now I have caught up, I love watching you, in what you have been up to, you have such a calming voice, it helps me relax when either im knitting or crocheting. My life is mundane, my hubby is my carer, and I have disability problems and crafting is only my out let, its good for the mind, body and soul. Love to you and your beautiful family, not forgetting Jackie, she is so cute, I love my dogs to. From London uk. XX😊
I love the unnamed color so beautiful. Lovely for a Mid summer project. I live in New Mexico a very hot dry part of the US. We can only sit outside in the morning when it is 21 to 25. Right now it is 3 pm and 34. France looks lovely in her summer dress as do you in yours.
For me, midsummer evokes straight away the Midsomer Murders series in the UK, that I love so much to watch. Do you know them Jana? In summer, when it’s too hot outside, you can sit and watch an episode with a nice cup of tea, your children and family around and some yarn and a pair of needles in your hands. What else do we want ? Neon kisses from Alsace !
Congratulations with your 12th wedding anniversary and your pod anniversary!! A very special week marked by Midsummer. So your husband can never forget this important weddingday 😂. I love your beautiful dress. Very colorful. The new dyed yarn is awesome 🤩. Have you already solved the problems and is the new website working better with the new company? Have you sorted out the shipping of yarn from your store to EU-countries? I love your colorwork and like the cheerful neons. Thank you for your lovely podcast! Have a nice week!
So many celebrations! Happy Anniversary, Podiversary, and Midsommer!!! Your dress is so dreamy and perfect for all of these happy occasions. We celebrate the beginning of summer on the Solstice, around 21-22 of June. It’s just so nice to have the longer, warmer days at this time of year, although it’s been untypically cool this year in Northern California. Enjoy that extra cup of coffee on the porch……you deserve it!
In the US we celebrate the 4th of July which is our Independence Day celebration. It is usually a time for parades, fireworks, and grilling out with friends and family. I am loving your neon knitting streak!
I went on a summer solstice trip for midsummer to look at nature and yarn stores north of me. I'm in Oregon and I went up to Washington on a little mini solo yarn crawl. I also went to an incredible garden - Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island. Highly recommend that place to anyone who likes such things. I love the dress!
Three years already! I remember the mosquito fights that you have every Midsummer. If only they were allergic to neon colours! We celebrate the Midsummer solstice by watching the sunrise. It is sad as now the days are getting shorter again. Thank you for another great episode and with guest star- Franny the frog. Congratulations for your wedding anniversary and podiversary too.
I love your dress. The colours are fabulous. We was watching our granddaughter last night as our son and his wife went out to see Jack Whitehall in Manchester. I know it wasn't strictly midsummer, but we drove home in the early hours with the windows open as it was 22°. It was lovely and I was knitting most of the way home! Happy Wedding Anniversary. Our Wedding Anniversary is a week on Friday, 34 years. Wowzers! Happy Podaversary, it's amazing how time flies. I love, love the colour of the socks and your nails. I need to do mine, one of those jobs that I never really get time to do! Take care. xxJane

Hi Janna ❤ congratulations on your podiversary 🎉 I love midsummer yarns! Thank you ☺️
Fantastic, as usual Jana. 🎉🎉🎉 We celebrate midsummer night with bonfires!! They say it is a magic night. ❤❤
Glad Midsummer!!!! I went to Skansen, here in Stockholm, to dance around the Midsommarstång this year. I love to dance and singing.
I love your podcast style and love to hear about your midsummer
We don't have that here
Thank you so much for sharing your time and projects with us
I having been watching you since episode 56, so I decided to watch you from the beginning now I have caught up, I love watching you, in what you have been up to, you have such a calming voice, it helps me relax when either im knitting or crocheting.
Your midsummer dress is so cheerful. Enjoy your week. Kim
LOL!!! Me too! Gotta love Midsomer Murders.
Love these shows!
Love that show too. Seen all seasons. 😊
Sounds like a perfect way to hide away from the heat or cold as it is for me at this time in Australia ❤
Rainy midsummer in middle of Finland. Great knitting time 😉
That dress epitomizes mid summer . I hope you had a lovely celebration and enjoy the rest of summer .
Take care. xxJane
