What I Would Give To Live On An Island Like That....Just Me, My Closest Family And My Pets...Absolute Heaven That Would Be, I Can Dream Can't I? LOL 😊 Fantastic Footage 5☆.
What a beautifully stunning place! If this were in the U.S. in the 1990s, rich speculators would have snatched it up, rebuilt it into luxury condos and sold them as "time shares". Of course, with the U.S. economy in it's planned downward economic spiral, the place would probably look EXACTLY like this today. Another fascinating video! Thanks again AbandonedScotland!
Yeah I've heard it has had an archaeological dig a while back, I think it really has potential to uncover a lot of ancient artefacts. Thanks for saying so John.
Abandoned Scotland well who ever allowed you to go on the island but it's against the law to go on there because a lot of fallen or past away royal navy personnel have been buried there anyway lucky sods I've always wanted to go there
I used to see the island quite clearly from the tennement flat i shared in Leith and always dreamed of visiting for a bit of seclusion. Was there not a lady that lived there with a wee animal sanctuary in the 1990's? Great video.
Thanks Greg, if you get the opportunity you should definitely go and see it. Although obviously you have to be careful as the buildings aren't maintained.
Excellent production... I think this had a tv archaeological dig some time ago. Apparently from the seaward side it looks a little bit like a warship, and was repeatedly attacked by mistake. Keep up the good work..
what a beautiful and haunting video .I thinkI know why I love your channelso much ,You see I'm a real hoarder and seldom want to throw things away .These 'abandoned places 'make me want to rescue them lol I wonder as to how anyone could want to leave .....The photography as ever , brilliant ... Thanks so much , Helena
there is four islands in the forth within view of the bridge, this one, inch garvey is the one under the rail bridge inch kieth and inch colm closest to aberdour they were made to look like frigates during the second world war for the german planes. by the way the battlements and guns were placed ,inch colm still gets visitors and has a caretaker that lives on the island, folk go there to get married,as far as i know inchkieth has not had any one living there since the light house shut down.
This is only 40 mins from my house and is beautiful to look at, and would be a good place to see firsthand on the island with all the military links. Good Job chaps :)
i am planning trips to abandoned places in Scotland to capture footage, and to record binaural audio for a college project, how easy is the access to the island as i would like to go there.
@roman sepiol well there goes that idea. Was gonna chuck on a bathing suit and swim from kirkcaldy but naaaaw you need a boat... would never have guessed 😂😂😂😂😂😂
What little vandal damaged the glass within the electrical apparatus? I bet it was a deliberate act and not one of accidental. A wee bit further away; when I was a kid we'd walk out to Cramond Island....but got the tides a wee bit wrong and were there for hours! LOL
Hi there, we'd love to potentially use this footage in an upcoming BBC2 documentary! Please get in touch on ngladwin@blastfilms(.)co(.)uk Thanks! Nancy
This is totally the setting for the game 'Dear Esther' in real life! Check it out here, or play it for yourself, it has Abandoned Scotland written all over it lol watch?v=-JOXayur3QE

You can take the souls off the island but you can't take the soul away from this island. Brilliant bit of video and leaves me wanting more
