The game is designed terribly in terms of navigation. The mural puzzle to even reach the gauntlet is one big example. When playing a game that you click to walk/run in what world are you looking at paintings on the backside of a room? This game forces most people to use guides. I miss the times when I could play a game without guidebooks. Even if I don't find all the secrets, I'd at least like to get through the main story without help. I'm a grown woman who doesn't have 17+hrs a day to dedicate to figuring out a small piece of a puzzle in a game. Great video - I do have a suggestion to anyone who either doesn't wish to kill yurgir or dont have the traits, skills or patience, if you want to clear raphael's mission you can simply follow every other step in this guide except for the yurgir part, after you have finished the altar to shar segment near the end, head over to yurgir and if you have done everything else in the guide (specifically killing lyrthindor) then yurgir's contract will be "fulfilled" and him and raphael scuttle off

2:22 I didn't have the moon lantern equipped at all, but I unequipped it and still get blown back; any character with anything that sheds light will will cause them to be repulsed.
With the soft step trial, just send someone through before making the blood sacrifice wait till they get to the final area and then make the blood sacrifice so you can get the gem
Almost quit the whole thing with the silent step one. If anyone is struggling like me you can teleport in before the trial starts and simply open the door bypassing everything.

the rats were harder than I thought they'd be! - guardian of faith saved my skin. excellent guide, even for a newbie like me.
So the rat part doesn’t work the only way to get a different cut scene is if you knock it out first switch back to lethal and kill it. It says we’re coming for you but nothing happens.
Same here
I did this, but the rats still glitch
Same
Same here on ps5
The ps5 version is glitched so we’re unable to meet lyrthindor unfortunately
Thanks for this.. I don't know how anyone can do this without a walkthrough? It's so all so random. Also Shadowhearts voice sped up is excellent
04:07 the way it just cuts to a clip of him dying with a text "make Yurgir kill himself : link in description" is so funny out of context 😭
Thank you for you're help I knew I missed one thank you
Has no-one attempted to complete the circle, by the rats of lythindor? I swear i place a candle in one of the two spaces that were empty and the candle ended up lighting a purple hue.
Can you explain further?
How you trigger the wall thing at 16:38? Doesn't appear when I come near it
I attack the rat, but he keeps dying . Tried the unconscious attack he knocked out forever so I threw him , got the cut scene and rats never showed up
Same
use grease and fire for rats if you dont have the spell - they will kamikaze into it. Gamerpillar - Thnks for the JUMP tip for soft-step 2. I would have been stuck for ages
Such an awesome guide. No bs, straight to the point, and easy to follow. Thank you so much. I just subscribed off this guide alone
Funny bug in the self-same trial: familiars will take the place of your characters if they're closer to the blood altar. Ended up fighting my Ranger's pet spider instead of my ranger.
You have a bunch of enemies in the library to kill. He didn't show that so I went in blind and died just a heads up
Thank you for giving words to the details in this guide! And time stamps!💕 xbox players are just getting caught up in this game.Gem 4 though- totally useless because you offer only a very dark view.
You really do the best guides! Thank you a lot!!!
Why do so many of y’all not free that pixie? Lmao
I swear the leap of faith would auto kill me for jumping on the blinding platform. Insufferable. Gods bless you
That god for this because the gauntlet is by far my least fave part of the game lmao
2:22 I didn't have the moon lantern equipped at all, but I unequipped it and still get blown back; any character with anything that sheds light will will cause them to be repulsed.
With the soft step trial, just send someone through before making the blood sacrifice wait till they get to the final area and then make the blood sacrifice so you can get the gem
so if the rat at 12:04 doesn't appear then what your done?
Almost quit the whole thing with the silent step one. If anyone is struggling like me you can teleport in before the trial starts and simply open the door bypassing everything.
Spells ‘Misty step”
Still working my way through act II, but I discovered something: If you do Lyrthindor first, when you get to Yurgir he'll tell you the song is over, and Raphael comes and tales him back to the Hells due to a contract breach. Don't know If this chances anything, but I thought it was worth sharing!
If you have misty step, you can port next to it if you have pixies blessing to also interact with it to turn it off.
Nice! This really helped me out. Thx!
I ignored the rat when I passed for this way before watch this video. Now I'm stuck in this cause the rat doesn't appear again. What should I do?
Me too
perfect guide from every point of view, the idiot is me who put a gem in minthara and then left it in the camp, 4 hours looking for the fucking gem 😂😂
for does who think its bugged: do not walk on the purpled writing that is on the floor walk around it
doesn't matter if you have the pixie buff. if it does fast travel to underdark or whatever and come back.
Thanks this helped. Wouldn't let me click it the right traveler gem.
What purple writing?
Fun little tip for the gem puzzle: If anyone in your party is using The Blood of Lathander mace the hidden path on the floor won’t reveal itself.
Also, a little tip for faith leap.... bring Wyll if you gave him devils sight.... can see the entire pathway no issues :)
Or if you have the eyeball from Volo. It allows you to see invisible things, so you can see the floor pretty good
Or Lae’zel. She has the ability to jump really far.
17:54 This fight is so unbelievably hard, it takes so long and at the end i still die and have to redo it, im playing on the easiest difficulty and it is still so hard, i like this game really much but theses parts make me rethink my purchase,so punishing for no reason
Just discovered like 5 minutes ago while doing this guide
if you kill the rats first, before fighting Yurgir you don't have to fight him or trying to convince him to kill himself
I won't say why
just for your information :d
its obvious why lol
Looooooooool that's fucking hilarious thinking back on it... like omg that poor dude has been there for fucking eternity and u can make him kill himself and his kitty for no reason 😂
Does he just disappear if u do it that way or is he like... a normal person?
On the faith-leap challenge, I used my 20 STR Wyll, didn't even need to step off a single platform lol
I actually talked Yugir (the demon) into offing all his followers and himself without a battle lol.
This guides are so helpful and straight to the point, thank you!
if you got the eye from voló you can just straight up see the path for the faith leap trial 😅
Why wont the rat show up areound 12:02? I have the exact same dialog as in the video but the rat doesnt appear after the speak to animals? The magenta glow never appears and it seems I cant progress.
Anyone had issue w faith-leap trial? I didn’t get the umbral gem 8:37
Me rn
@ you have to pick the gem with the character that spilled the blood in the sacrificial bowl ^^ which also mean you have to do the trial w that character
@@SheIIeebro shadow can't even jump that far smh
