It was on purpose, a cheeky reference to Creep because as Radiohead sued Lana del Rey for resemblances between Creep and one of her newer song, it resurfaced that the cord progression in question was 'taken' by Radiohead from The Hollies, which they themselves allegedly took from someone else, and so forth. And somewhere up along the (chronological) list, was that French artist with that song Aline (which came way before Creep). He didn't sue, he just decided to have a little fun with it :) Amidst all the did Lana copy/did she not/is it plagiarism/can you own a cord progression, I find it hilarious that he just doesn't give a crap and embraces it with that rendition :D
Everybody recognize creep but nobody seems to hear the tribute at the end to prince. Christophe is just a huge fan of thom yorke this is why he makes that creep reference and it goes so well with aline. He just loves music and making music.
