How to Remove the Logo Brand from a New Pair of Eyeglasses

- If you bought a pair of optical frames that has the brand name on the lenses, it can be removed. Many folks like an eyeglass frame but don't want to put Rx Prescription lenses in them. LENS MATERIALS MAY VARY WITH MANUFACTURER SO WE CAN'T GUARANTEE YOUR LENS WON'T GET DAMAGED! PLEASE WATCH THE ENTIRE VIDEO to be sure you do it properly as the acetone may dissolve the frame! You can also use nail polish remover that contains acetone. Please remove the label on your glasses with care as we are not responsible for any damage caused to your eyeglasses. The decal on your optical frame may not remove as easily as in the video so you may have to try it several times. I've spent about HALF AN HOUR trying to remove logos from some lenses. Usually doesn't take THAT long, but, sometimes, it DOES! Please subscribe for more eyeglasses care tips.
For questions, visit glazzers.com .
Disclaimer- Frame materials are generally consistent, however, some manufacturers may use composite material or different material to make their frames. Therefore, please take caution not to get any acetone on your frame. Please also be careful when using acetone. Recommend using a mask and gloves. Lens materials are also pretty standard so your lens should withstand acetone. Again, lens material may vary with manufacturer so we can't guarantee your lens won't get damaged.
Thanks, simple straight to the point
Omg sir! Thank you thank you thank you! I would've never guessed that you could use acetone to remove the logo! Yall this really works!
Works perfect!!!Thank You❤🎉🙏🏽
Used this on some cheap fake glasses I got for a halloween costume and it worked! My added tips:
- Don’t panic if you don’t get immediate results. Use a little acetone at a time and rub at it until it dissolves
- The smudge this process leaves is hard to get rid of, but it is definitely less noticeable than the logo. For a costume, it works well. If I actually had to wear these glasses daily, I might just buy different ones
If you had to wear the glasses daily you'd replace the lenses with your prescription lenses, surely.
I used perfume and it worked too.
Perfume doesn’t damage your plastic frame.
Seriously it took off the logo and didn’t damage or fog up the plastic lens how much did you use
@@jameskoerner7842 Not much at all.
Higher percentage octane can damage lens.
Worked like a charm. Thank you so so much!
Worked for me too! Started with nail polish remover (with acetone). Logo came off, but fogged the lens. Followed up with a dab of perfume; all is crystal clear. Thank you! 👍
Hello, i just want to thank you. I used my ck1 with cotton, rubbed it like 200+ times at the logo. Tested recently and yeah it works. Amazing 10/10
Does this work for sunglasses?
Sweet!! Thanks dude!

Any knows how to remove logo from plastic lens? Acetone is NOT the answer😢
My lenses melted when using acetone
This is what i get for being too rushed and not reading comments, ruined my lenses too…. But its whatever..
You saved my life, thank you!
Glad to be of service :)
It worked ❤
How can I remove the logo, if the logo is on the frame of the sunglasses? or what product can I use ?? Help please !!
Sorry, I'm not sure of any method to remove the logo off the frame itself without damaging the frame.
I found it friend, just use acetone !! it is all that is needed and it is removed immediately !! thanks i hope this helps someone
@@enzojean I usually don't recommend using acetone on frames- especially plastic ones. It can melt the frame. In your case, I'm glad it worked :)
What Can i Use For Plastic?.
Like. What Can i Use Alternative. Like Alcohol Or Etc?!.
Omg thank you
Anytime :)
What if the logos on the plastic lens like I bought the frames because I don't want real lenses in there they're just for looks but they have a logo on it and I want to take the logo off at so I don't look like an idiot
Yes, this video was made for that exact reason. Many eyeglass manufacturers imprint the brand on the lens. However, some people want to use the lenses the glasses came with and not swap them out for Rx lenses. This video shows how to remove the logo from the lens.
I knew a guy years ago that brought a pair of glasses with the logo still on it to a speed dating event. I guess he thought the glasses would make him look smart. I told him the logo looked ridiculous. He thought it looked cool because it said PRADA on the lens. Needless to say, I don't think he got any matches that night. Lol!
It took a bit but it cane off I used,my,nail too!! No,scratches at all then took alcohol wipe and its nice and clear now!!
@@meganperreault3261 Interesting technique. Glad it worked :)
nail polish remover, white rum (Wray and nephew).lol then drink remainder of rum 🥃 be extra happy 😊
But mines is a sticker...
..thx so much sir 👍...but my question is why would you have to use acetone to remove a sticker ?...that seems a little over the top ...would alcohol not work ?
Because it’s not a sticker. It is a screen print. Completely different from a sticker. lol
I've messed this up. Worked great and removed the logo but have some a mark left. Not your fault. But do u have any advice on how to move the mark?
No, unfortunately.
What's acetone
I naver came in relate with it
Please reply
is it ok if I use nail polish remover? its also acetone
Yes, just use it sparingly. Please let me know how it goes.
This just ruined my lenses. Thanks for that!
Sorry to hear that. There is a disclaimer that mentions that lens material may vary with different manufacturers, so there's no guarantee your lens won't get damaged.
😂
Same here
@@glazzersreadingglassesands7671 I mean you could have mentioned it on the actual video instead of the description below the video.
not working
Sorry to hear that. The glasses frame in this example had an easy logo to remove. Some logos have taken me half an hour to remove. You just have to sit there and keep at it. Let me know how it goes. Thanks.
WARNING - This just completely ruined the lense on my glasses!! Took the logo off but also reacted with the lense and now the glasses are trashed.

Did you have plastic lenses or did you have special lenses like transitionals or scratch resistant or glare-free lenses
@@glazzersreadingglassesands7671 Who the f--- reads the description before watching a youtube video?
@@meganperreault3261 my is palastic
Buff with car rubbing compound....it will restore your lens.
What can you use instead of an asertone?
A penny will remove it without damaging it
@@LexiA0327
It just worked for me.thank you @Alexandra Edlin...🙏🏿🛸😇
@@bobbytucker7756 you’re welcome sweetheart
THANK YOU!!! YOU SAVED ME FROM HATING GLASSES (not people with glasses)!!!!!
ps. Nail polish remover also works
Is this for real? You can't just peel the thing off?
John James its not a sticker that can peel off the logo is embedded in the lense
Can you use nail polish remover??
If it has acetone it it, yes.
Wow you could have mentioned since the beginning of the video that this would not work for plastic lenses… which I’m sure the majority of people wanting to do this would be doing it with. Ruined my fendi glasses while I wait to add my prescription to them..
plastic FRAMES*
it worked for me
Honestly I'm annoyed too but I have myself to blame I should have watched the whole video before I jumped into conclusions
Didn’t he say this in the very beginning
Damage my lens
Ruined my glasses thanks.
This is...
Amazing.
Wonderful, thanks!
Acetone will eat into any plastic. So if you have plastic lenses they will get ruined.
Optical quality frames typically contain lenses that will stand up to acetone. Some manufacturers of frames use cheap quality material for their demo lenses, like the ones bought at pharmacies or dollar stores. Proceed at your own risk.
Dont use paper towel ot can scratch, use a microfiber towel or something else soft and clean
But otherwise nice
Yes, if you have access to a microfiber cloth, that would be better. Thanks!
I should have mentioned that Bounty paper towel won't scratch the lenses. Cheaper paper towels will.
Kya h yu
My lenses are ruined. Thanks
Sorry to hear that. The disclaimer in the description mentions that lens material may vary with different manufacturers, so there's no guarantee your lens won't get damaged.
Brand logo has been removed, but now lenses are trash :D
Why itz not Woking

Hot take but if you just watch the whole video all the way through he literally tells you that acetone will ruin the frames.
This didn’t work for me. I used pure acetone.
I used j'adore perfume on a cloth meant to NOT scratch. Worked perfect. Sorry to all you that somehow thought such a strong chemical was needed and scratched up with a paper towel. Never use paper products on eyewear. Unless you just don't care of course - then you just do whatever!! 😂
Lol wtf do you find acetone
You can find acetone at a hardware store. Or you can get nail polish remover at any supermarket, drug store, Walmart, etc. Just be sure you get nail polish remover with acetone as one of the ingredients.Straight acetone works better usually.
it’s nail polish remover
DO NOT DO THIS WITH YOUR PRESCRIPTION GLASSES! You will ruin any coatings that they have...this guy is a mo ron!
Here’s an idea: buy the glasses and lenses!
