@Aim4TheHead the CS is stupid. The M5 is a family sedan that has great performance. You are not supposed to get bucket seats (in the front and back) for your family. That shit is mad uncomfortable. The M3 and M4 make sense for bucket seats. Not the M5.
I've been extremely lucky to have had the 2017 RS6 C7, 2020 E63 S and at the moment I'm daily driving a 2020 BMW M5 Comp. Here's my take: RS6: Good amount of power, straight line speed is great and decent comfort. Understeers like crazy when driving hard on track. Transmission was decent. Not really confidence-inspiring on a track. No drama, but a solid daily (especially since it's wagon) with decent fuel economy for a V8. Low mileage but still had issues with driveshaft and turbo that ended up getting replaced. Interior quality felt dated but definitely solid. E63 S: Muscle brute. Extremely dramatic and tons of character. Crazy power. Less comfort suspension-wise but the seats were on a different level than in my previous RS6. When you start to push the car a bit more it tends do be very playful. Handling was good and precise enough to have some level of confidence going through a corner, although you feel the car getting upset in slow-medium speed corners due to weight and slightly unbalanced suspension. But very very fun. Interior quality was a bummer, lots of creaking and cheap feeling plastics. Ofcourse that beautiful engine makes up for all that. After all, it's a cruiser. It's not REALLY meant to be taking corners. Autobahn-monster. Only issues I had were interior-related. Panels coming off and infotainment issues. M5 Competition: Ultimate driving machine. It's the perfect blend of my previous cars. Crazy power, good comfort and handling is WILD after having driven an E63S. Not as dramatic as an E63 but still playful enough. The M5 Comp is super precise in almost every aspect. Almost too perfect. It unfortunately loses some of that roughness and wild character that the E63S had. The M5's suspension is more track focused and it shows. Body roll is almost non-existent and the cornering speeds are immense (running on PS4S tires) and with some black magic it's still comfortable. Seats are also extremely adjustable and gets you in a perfect position. My CC brakes are very powerful and have better feel compared to the CC-brakes in the E63. It lacks a bit in steering, where I almost can't get ANY steering feel at all compared to the Merc. Interior is super solid. So the car itself.. It's a bit more mature, a bit more grown-up than the E63. And right now I'm very happy with it.
This review was so...precise, immaculate, you should do reviews for shure. Nobody talked this good and at the same time this short while giving such good informations and precisely without talking for nothing. I thank you immensely.
How's the steering feel in RWD mode only? I believe the AWD capability kills the steering feel and the BMWs 70:30 rear:front power ratio isn't quite optimum in my opinion. The suspension set up doesn't feel like it matches the front weight either...the M5CS fixes these issues much better. If you can manage to mod the damping and compression ratios aswell as natural frequency..actually just get another suspension set up closer to the m5cs standards..should work like magic with the steering feel
@@SmackYoBaby tbh I haven't got a clue what's going on. It's either things I've heard from hard-core car guys..I'm just saying the same stuff. Repeating tests etc. In sim games that accurately model physics models such as suspension, tyre weight etc...its a lot easier fine tuning.
The M5 has the perfect exterior styling 👌 The performance is obviously fantastic too. The only compromise I see is real or perceived reliability concerns related to the V8. There’s always something isn’t there. With the M3 it’s the face only a mother could love… until I saw the iX - that makes the grill look good by comparison. In all fairness, however, the M3 grill has grown on me. But I don’t see the value proposition in buying an M3when I could have an M340 for half the price.
In Germany the 340i starts from around 72.000€, the M3 comp. from 95.000€. So not quite twice the price here but as a daily the 340i is the obvious winner, no doubt - If you don't go on track and don't need the bragging rights and attention the M3 gets you of course.
They are on the way of massacring the 5 also. Probably won’t look as ugly as the most recent spawn from hell that bmw recently birthed but won’t have the look that most of us love. Hopefully I’m wrong though and this thing comes better than before.😅
@@bigodelock5832 i even loved the Chris bangle era, but recently they have slowly sucked away my passion and love for BMW. They lost their design touch. It’s just sad!

Southern hemisphere countries are not going electric.. not for another 20 years..all the top car brands are going to keep making petrol and diesel..if we ever going full electric at all.
I really hope BMW keeps the V8 for a MY2025. My M3 lease will be over in 2024 and i want to get into an M5 as long as it still has the V8. I don't care if it has a mild hybrid system with it, that just means even more performance. As long as it still has that 4.4TT V8. Please BMW! Do one more run with the V8!

You know what I think when I see someone driving a brand new M car down the road, they just got screwed with dealer ADM. I am keeping my 21 M8 with 1.99% interest and my 22 X6M with 2.3%. This new car market is out of control. Beautiful car though
Been fortunate enough that my last 3 cars were a 2016 S8, 2019 M5 (non-comp), and now a 2023 M5 Comp. S8 was the ultimate wolf in sheep’s clothing. 25++ MPG, viciously fast on straight line, incredibly comfortable and beautiful. Fantastic highway cruiser - maybe the best ever built, with 600HP. My then 16 year old daughter learned how to drive in the S8 - it was that versatile of a car (ruined her since she now drives a Buick Encore). 2019 M5 was a different animal. Had the 19” tires which were very uncomfortable when the temps got chilly, and had a fairly rough ride (wife did not like driving in it at all - bummer!). That said, wicked fast, handled great in summer and with winter tires had no issue in the winter in and around Phila. 2023 M5 Comp - what a dream this car is! Monster off the line, incredible engine sound, incredible tech with M configurations, 20” wheels make for a significantly better drive (shocking actually), and the car is stunning to look at. This model is skyscraper grey and has the black carbon fiber package (including roof). Getting it on the track this spring in NJ and cant wait!!!!
