Beauty Marks was a way for her to tell her story and she did it independently. It's my least favorite album from her as far as production goes, BUT I respect the effort. But seriously, y'all were sleeping on her other albums. Fantasy Ride, Basic Instinct, and Self Titled all had plenty of "flavor". Jackie was fun too.
I used to be her strong fan, but recently i just don't like her and her family anymore because of her friendship with Vanessa Bryant😕 My mother used to always tells me when she was alive😖 "May her soul R.I.P💔😢🙏" show me your friends and i will tell you who you are😓 For Vanessa Bryant disrespecting Kobe's parents while being a strong family friend with Ciara is beyond me🤔 No woman should disrespect their husbands mothers, no matter what! Money is made to be spent, either way just try and give them their respect for being the mother OR parents of your husbands

That’s because those “R&B” records don’t embody the old Ciara at all. When fans say we want the old Ciara we don’t mean Greatest Love and those type of records. We are talking about the Goodies crunk n b sound that she never truly revisited. We understood that she needed to grow and we allowed that to happen but we are missing that old sound she has symbolically left over the last decade. We are talking about rhythmic records that embody her urban roots. We want dance but we want it to be rhythmic sounding. Goodies, The Evolution and Fantasy Ride embodied that very well. That’s what we talking and hopefully she understands the assignment with this new album.

But her ballads and pop/hip songs (Promise, Like A Boy, Can't Leave Em Alone) from that same era performed way better. And did you support "Gimme Dat" or "Got Me Good" ? Both of those songs were rhythmic uptempos with heavily layered production. Their formula is very similar to the formula for her early hits, only more contemporary. Tell why they flopped but her other singles (Ride, Body Party, Sorry) were more successful? See, y'all keep demanding certain music from her, then ignore it and complain when she finds success within other genres (the ones that "don't hit right")
