What I love about Alan is that he can play any role in any genres of movies. He can play good, bad, in between good and bad. In this movie, Severus was bad at first. Or so we thought…. Then it turns out to be a good man. In fact, he died a hero in the final Harry Potter series.

@@willowsverge3046 I think it was James. He was with Lily, they had a child he had to teach. Part of his hatred for Harry was his visual resemblance to James. He was just a living, walking reminder of a terrible past. I don't think Snape "hated" Pettigrew - that was too strong and personal a feeling, and Severus blamed himself first and foremost for the Potters' deaths. And Peter didn't exactly deserve that feeling. Disgust? Revulsion? Contempt? Yes. But not hatred. He was too pathetic for her.

My guess would be a tie between james and peter. James was the ringleader a lot and peter gave up lilly to voldemort.
