In my honest opinion 2nd gen group are really the best when it comes to vocals especially in live performance. Lee Hong Ki is still one of my fave up until now.
이홍기는 탈아이돌된지 오래임 그냥 데뷔를 아이돌밴드로해서 그렇지 순수가창력만보면 동나이대 탑급이고 음역대 음색 가창력 성량 왠만한 발라드가수들 다 이기는수준임 특히 락보컬이라 성량은 발라드가수보다 훨씬큼
잘생기고 아이돌 밴드라는 이유로 실력 저평가 받앗엇죠 ㅠㅠ

솔직히 말하면 이미 18살 데뷔때 거의 완성되서 나옴.. 당시랑 지금 비교해보면 지금이 성숙하고 능숙해지긴했지만 큰차이도 없음

HongKi's voice is very distinct. Even if im not watching who's singing, i know its hongki because of his husky voice. Its so good especially the song "Raise me up"

Hope he stops smoking though. Smoking over many years really changes a singer's voice. A lot of Koreans smoke and a lot of Korean singers smoke. I hope he quits before it ruins his voice.

I am not a kpop fans but I made exception for hong ki. I first discovered him because someone told me he looks like Ninomiya of Arashi and as an Arashian, I need to verify this but turn out I become a fan on him. Not a big fan actually but back then I have quite a lot of FT Island songs in my hard disc and I even started to watch You're Beautiful because of him. Over the years, his vocal is still amazing, one of the best vocalist I know. (pls do not say any other kpop fans vocalist name because i do not follow any), i just need to appreciate how good his voice is.
He has one of the best voices in Korea. He is so talented as an actor as well. Love him!

eliyanirahman Jaejin's voice is beautiful amazing and unique, but too high for these songs it changes the feeling of the songs, for these songs they need Hong Ki's voice and the closest one is Minari did you watch the video with Orange Sky they are the closest ones, Minari needs more training, but his voice is a little closer in range, when Hong Ki is sick get him from behind and put him in the front to do some low notes next to jaejin... Hong Ki is better though he was singing in his radio show the other day 4 songs and he sounded amazing and he didn't have trouble, his Japanese album will be release soon and the tour so he is doing better now.
