it’s all love for both of them but sometimes it seems like he didn’t really finish his thought before she started speaking. don’t get me wrong, they bounce off each other really well but she had a tendency of cutting him off in this

Hearing you speak about your hair was so eye opening. I feel like white people who ask you questions about your hair are suppressing their racism. There are so many ways to find those answers without making someone feel insecure. Being pushy is the white way. I'm sorry to everyone dealing with privileged white people every day. 😔 I'm trying my best to break the cycle, growing up with racist parents. Joining racial healing circles and being a part of racial equity talks is how I'm learning to be a better person. I love this podcast, but the realness of a struggle I have no idea about hit me with this one. I feel for all the black girls and boys who struggle because of white privilege. Learning hard lessons as a child because you were born with melanin is so unfair. I hope we see a real change some day. A shift in the way people act about race and other marginalized groups.

The way Tony is talking about his school experience- literally same word for word. Didn’t have to work hard to succeed and was hyperactive and talkative as hell. Ended up in alternative school. Goddamn 💀

My favorite part was hearing how school went for you all. My school was very lame in that they were all fake and swapped out each other partners frequently. It was also predominantly white and I remember having to fight to have a Malcolm X quote in the year book after I was practically laughed out of the yearbook committee room.
