This forest is a paradise for elephants . Kangsavati river is just 3 KM away from this forest. in West Medinipur district. If you want, you can visit this place in one day . Tent facility is also available here, so if you want, you can spend the night in the forest.

The most popular time to visit is during the winter, drier months from October to February. It is particularly vibrant just after monsoon.
