As another close to being over the hill Dallas resident I too wonder how there has not been one guy going to find her abd attempting to sweep her off her feet.Hint: Bring a good gift for Mako so he will smoothe the way for you.
Great to have a fairly nice, relaxed sail. You make all us women proud, handling the journey as a pro, with safety as a priority and no apprehension about your abilities. Love your videos.

It’s quite common in Australia to say ‘see ya later’ even if we’ve only just met you and no plans to see you again, with a small population it’s not unusual to see a person again in another state even years later.
Seeing the cruise ship lit up in the middle of nowhere, at night, what a sight!!

Great sail, lovely video! I know the feeling so well; the nerves before you sail but when you finally catch the wind, it's all excitement. And you're so good! Don't take stupid risks and turn rough circumstances into a smooth sail. You're my hero.

I watch a few sailing/boating/fishing channels, mostly sailing, and it absolutely amazes me how all of you show no fear, and confidently head out on the wild blue with freaking bananas onboard.

I really want to crew and learn more than I know. I'm blessed I never have been seasick. I've been around boats and diving. Living in Florida I've been all over the keys waters. I was most of the time if not always the anchor man!

Hi Lauren, nice video! At 13:10 one of your port side stanchions is zoomed in on. Looks suspicious to me. If you find time any time in the future you may remove the relevant ceiling liner and hopefully discover that there is no leakage.

Rail's in the water, need to reef!
You'd be puzzled, intrigued, and quite surprised if you got a set of polar charts for your boat. You'll find that very very few sail masters can move a boat as quickly--and in the right direction--as following the polar charts for a boat.
Lauren you're an amazing young woman. I love watching your videos. Some day soon I'll get up the nerve to break free and do the same thing.

When you sail while asleep, are there any proximity or collision detection devices running that could wake you up if you get close to another boat or land?
Hi Lauren; I'm an older sailer of ships lately; but sailboats since the 70's. Missing the ocean and lost years enjoying being out for enjoyment so I'm bored on land and looking at purchasing to do what you are. How long have you been sailing and did you get your boat then have training aboard your own boat when you bought it? You seem to know all the equipment updated that's important. I had never stopped to consider that you are probably forced to sleep at times while sailing out at sea. Pretty amazing in 3-4 foot waves (if I'm judging the height correctly). Sail on Captain Lauren.😄🥰❤

Lauren, when you were raising your anchor, it looked to me like your windlass was loose. I saw it shift back and forth. I would assume you know about it already, but thought I'd mention it. Can't tell what it's mounted on. Maybe it's fine, but it would suck to have that pop off.
@9:10 for a few seconds you can see the windlass moving fore and aft! It is lose! Be a real bummer if that rips out!!

Well done however, when you pulled up anchor the safety wire around the coupler chain to anchor was loose, you are gonna want to fix that asap, or you might loose that hook.!

Great solo sail, you've not lost your touch. I wish there was an easier way to raise the dinghy, for you as it seems like a pain at the moment. Is there any way of fitting a pair of electric winches on the stern to hoist it?
