If you keep an eye on #23 for sierra canyon, you'll realize he has no clue how to hedge or ice a screen. EVERY time his man sets a screen, the guy using it scores. This happen at least 5 times that I saw. Honestly he cost them the game!
Ashton was the hot hand for Sierra Canyon in this game. I also really need the SC coaching staff to stop starting Dylan because he is a liability on offense and defense. They need Bronny at PG and Cofield at SG for sure. it would elevate their play by a million
Dylan Metoyer done gave em free points with the defense he was playing😂😂 SC should either not start him or give him way less playing time cus he seems like a liability to me
Last year and this year Dylan Metoyer (#23 on SC) has been holding the team back. He gets too many minutes, and is assigned to guard players that are way better than he is (last year's home game against Harvard Westlake he guarded Brady Dunlap, who is 5-6 inches taller than him). He was a defensive liability, and ended with 0 points and some laughable airballs. Bronny should be playing PG and Cofield should be starting at SG. Tbh I think there's a good chance SC falls out of Open Division and end up in the D1 state playoff bracket.
Over the summer bronny didn't do well at all as the main creator at all. He did very well scoring off a secondary action like a dribble hand off or pass and kick. That's probably why he's the 2/3
@@augusttangaan9545 Well he needs to learn the position because at his size, he’s a PG. That’s is why he needs to go to a good college program and learn his new position.
In his defense Dunlap is just an underrated hopper. There’s a reason why he had offers from Kansas, Loyola, ND, Nebraska, etc. He’s way better than his 3 star ranking. He played with Bronny in EYBL, he’s played against him too. In both cases Dunlap far outplayed Bronny. In EYBL Dunlap averaged 16ppg, Bronny was averaging 11. Dunlap was 9 FGA per game, Bronny was taking 13 FGA. Dunlap left Strive for Greatness because his role was third option, despite averaging the most points on by FAR the best efficiency. Also Mike Price was perfect for Sierra Canyon. The 2022 season he left to Centennial because Bronny was getting all his minutes. Price ends up starting for Centennial in the CIF championship route over SC. Bronny finished that game with 0 points. Price ended up with 11. Clearly Price should’ve been playing in Bronny’s place their Jr years. Price’s defense, dribbling and passing, can be seen here. He’s #2. He’s unselfish. Losing him was a big lose. Both Bronny and Price are great defenders, but Price can dribble and play make on offense where that’s Bronny’s biggest weakness on offense.
Bronny is exceeding my expectations. He is a very complete player with vision, athleticism, defense, he attacks the rim and is a good shooter. has a good future
Yeah I agree I think that's why his ranking as a player throughout the years fluctuated because he doesn't touch the ball as much as he should. Bronny is so underrated.
Your not wrong, guy touches the ball way to much for someone so bad. He demands the ball from bronny and then fails to run an offense before giving it to a shooter for a bail out shot.
SC was clearly missing Elohim this game! Too much put on Bronny & Hardaway in the scoring department with him out. Missing Justin Pippen on defense hurt too cuz Metoyer was looking lost on both ends of the floor
Npcs calling a future nba star with all the talents overrated is insane he got a McDonald’s game soon that’s basically a pro basketball game he barely try’s unless it’s a must he’s avoiding injuries
I respect bronny for having the confidence to take that deep 3 that would've tied the game. on the surface it seemed like a bad shot to take, but it's really a sign of how far he's grown as a player.
Ngl cant say everything refs but the refs this game were calling crazy stuff. Don't bash a kid but over at SC #23 gotta do better he is in 12th grade and got underclassmen playing better than him. Im not going say he was the only one but on pick and roll defense he did bad airballed about 3 times and doesnt set the O up right
Pool play. There are 2 pools with 4 teams each. Every team will play at least 3 games no matter what. So you will play the other 3 teams in your pool. The top 2 teams in each pool will move on and those 4 teams will be in a new pool and the best team out of that will play in the state chip. Not sure how it is determined who they play in the chip cause the team Centennial played was not involved in this initial bracket. I hope this helped. It’s a essay 😂
Brooo how the hell did they not call foul on that dunk but then call foul on that screen lmao. That was a no call. Gave the team 2 free points. That got me heated
Bronny is clearly the best player on this team. Starts the game strong, but then has to sit. Injury and minute restriction at the worst time of the season when the comp is elite. Coming out of the game so soon and sitting can't be good for rhythm, but he'll be rounding into form for states I presume.

Where is the Elohim kid? Only reason Sierra lost this one. What about Pippen kid? Is he on JV with Bryce? And that #23 kid has ties for sure because I’ve seen this kid get alot of burn on a national level with very little talent. Not trying to down the kid but he’s an average varsity player at best. So to get all these minutes for Sierra is crazy to me. He’s been their weak link though.
There weak link is their offense. Which is on the coach. Lots of teams play with game management type of point guards. Unless you're saying the other team guards scored a 40 piece on him alone, and he turned the ball over !0 plus times, then you can't blame it all on one player. You have to count all turnovers from each player. How many points each player gave up, and who was missing assignments. I do think another guard, preferably number 10, not Coffield. should be starting, or at least playing more minutes.
