I have a feeling that this has something to do with the logic error prison that Lambdadelta mentioned being trapped in her past. Also, something to do with explaining why both Lambda and Bern are terrified of Featherine, despite mockingly calling her, 'AuAu'.
Could it be that the logical error pointed out in the Umineko manga that Featherine supposedly made in the game with Bernkastel was precisely this confusion in relation to Takano's person with Satoko? And how does Lambdadelta fit in, now that it practically shares similarities with both Takano and Satoko? Is it because of this confusion?

Yes, all of this is just a game between witches. If you have watched higurashi rei you must saw rika saying "I should be Rika instead of the witch Bernkastel". That's what we're talking about, bernkastel is the witch of miracless, a miracle made Rika win against the hundred fragments and worlds, she won and became Bernkastel, this anime is probably showing how she was born (the witch) from the dispair os furude rika, just do some searches and you will see, it's waaay more complicated than that. About satoko she's probably Lambdadelta, another witch that fought against bernkastel and loose.
