Yes! I was like, "Okay, those chords seem approachable." Then I heard the subsequent arpeggios and was like 😲...🤯...🤔......... "I need to learn about arpeggios."
It's kind of astonishing just how evocative those 4 chords are..... It's so simple, but it sounds ancient...primordial...like it always existed and was somehow discovered. Four chords....that's all really. But within that simple turnaround I hear so much depth. For whatever reason...that theme often makes me feel a sense of profound nostalgia and kinship with, specifically, the entirety of the human story over the 20th century. Everything that happened...every war...every person...every romance...every birth and death....everything. The Sigur Ros song played in the final scene of Vanilla Sky has a similar effect on me. I love it when music can convey SO much with so very little...
@avedic If you like this kind of emotive music, you should check out a band called "This Will Destroy You". Four good songs to start with are: - The Mighty Rio Grande - Burial on the Presidio Banks - They Move on Tracks of Never-Ending Light - A Three-Legged Workhorse Hope you like it. 🙂👍
Hi Amos, yours is pretty much the best tutorial on this song in the entire RUclips as of now. Sadly, I could not find the score for this specific song in your website (there are like other 43 or so scores, but Time is not among them). Could you please provide it or show us where to download the score for this specific "easy" version/cover of the song you are teaching here? I would be delighted to have this score, I have the allegedly original music sheet, but really want to try learning this specific version. Thank you in advance and congrats.
Merci beaucoup for this tuto ! I was trying to learn this song since last month but it was hard for me. With this video the structure is clear in my mind ! Thanks again !
I love it sir. But um, the basic version is too basic. and the advanced version, you go so very fast. I really want to learn this song, I love it. But then, I am unable to grasp at that pace of yours, please help. I'm a mediocre level player.
thanks for al your videos i did (for now and lots more later ) Pirates of the caribbean, time and now interstellar (yeah i love Christopher Nolan and most of all Hans Zimmer ) : D

You're absolutely wrong, search it and watch any video, you will understand. 1. The gyro isn't his totem, it's his wife's so it's done on purpose to mislead us 2. Nolan said to Michael Caine, who was confused whether scene were reality or dreams, that if he was in a scene, it was real. He is in the scene hence it's reality 😄👌

Do your keys have that great vanilla (ivory) look in real life or just on video?
I love it sir. But um, the basic version is too basic. and the advanced version, you go so very fast. I really want to learn this song, I love it. But then, I am unable to grasp at that pace of yours, please help. I'm a mediocre level player.
Practice. Start with slow tempo. Keep increasing the tempo each time u feel u can play it easily. Takes hours of practice to get better.
Also, you can slow the time down on the video
Bro you really need to make a tutorial on how to play those improvisations
