Thanks for this clear review that - as always - covers all the bases. I think that actually the most important point you mention is about how we behave and how we represent magic. Like many, I left the Magic Café because of the toxic atmosphere there, and I'm constantly embarrassed by online spats like Craig just had. He dishes out those 'Real' reviews, where he exposes any misleading claims, so unfortunately yes he has set himself up as a target. He doesn't see that though, because he might be hard-working, but he's got a weakness when it comes to handling criticism. I've messaged him a few times, largely because of his son being so closely involved, to point out the toxicity of foul-mouthed rants and, for a little while, Craig stopped his regular rants. To me, if he or any other magicians are reading this, being a professional magician means exactly that - being _professional_ in all circumstances. This is why I watch your reviews, because even your criticism is polite and classy. Sadly the internet has promoted more toxic material, like 'fail' videos and rants, and that lines up with Craig's Achille's Heel.
Hi Goldeneddie. Thanks so much for leaving the comment. For myself I know I can be foul mothed but I have to ask myself is this the right time and place. And obviously a lot of times it is not the right time or place and therefore I just keep my mouth closed. In Craigs situation the thing that I find discouraging is his release is really solid and simply addressing the misinformation without impugning or resorting to name calling would be a better way to go. It allows for grace with the person with the incorrect information and answers any confusion people may have. In the case with both Luke and Craig, Luke will need to own his part of it that the information he provided was not accurate or if it is his opinion then to note that it is an opinion. For Craig it is about how he handles himself with other members of the community and especially with those who have a different point of view. Okay I have probably gone on too long but glad you are here and added to the conversation. I remain hopeful that these two gentleman will resolve the differences. Take Care.
Thanks Crawdini, Yes I wanted to get this review up as quick as possible. It still took a number of days just to get through the 5 hours of content from this release. Overall I really do like the effect, I find it easy to do, and will likely be using it regularly. For me Craig is a mixed bag. I really like his releases. Nice review, really appreciated, specially the final part of the video you're a gentleman. As for the Quantum deck i don't agree with some of your opinions, of course we as magicians won't agree on everything 😅. Don't own Quantum deck, saw the trailer and immediately saw what was the basic method and the bases of it and that put me off, it's a great effect dont get me wrong but not my cup of tea. 5 hours of material that is a great thing we sometimes pay more for 30m of instructions and no gimmick. Though I appreciate what Craig has done, I prefer using a normal blank deck with Barry Richardson’s ACAAN. Cheap, easy, and totally examinable and I’ve never been caught on the move.

I got mine recently. Craig put a lot of work into this. Not just had an idea, slapped together a tutorial and off he went. I haven't perform this yet, but excited to do so! I got the cards staring at it.. took me probably a good few minutes to get an idea on how it works, but that's just because I been doing card magic for 15 years. What I like about this is the simplicity. Blank deck. And No heavy math! Simple math, simple method. Simple premise. No knuckle busting. I wonder if Craig and Luke ever made peace yet?

He genuinely takes the time to put a lot of thought and routines together and create a real value for his customers. I really respect that. Fair review. There are two different ways you can get busted on audience inspection, neither would be common, but they can (and no doubt will) happen, so the claims of 100% examinable and you'll be completely safe is a bit of an exaggeration (not going to explain what they are to avoid tipping the method). I also disagree with Craig on how to make extra cards/decks up, but that's also a really minor thing. I think the backlash over this isn't due to the effect it's because people think (correctly in my view) the trailer isn't 100% honest, not enough to bother commenting on usually, but as Craig makes a *HUGE* thing when others do that, many think he has made himself fair game. I really like the effect, but it won't be going into my normal set as it's a one-trick pony deck, and pocket management (and utilisation) is very important to me.
Well said! I share the same opinion. I'll just add...the trailer was intentionally deceptive to boost sales. Craig Petty deceived us with RED....He hasn't changed.

This is the exact reason I always fix the flaw in tricks, this means even when there appears to be no flaw. I not only fixed the flaw in this trick, but made the routine totally dumbfounding even to magicians. The major difference between most of these and mine is that the blank deck I use can be examined with zero gimmicks or any type of BS. BTW Craig is a total asshat. I've had personal dealings with him. I can't count the number of times I have to correct people that think Craig is a magician, he is not, he is a reviewer. I've also told Craig several times he needs to stop performing card tricks on his channel and get someone who actually knows how to handle cards. This is due to him constantly revealing Darwin Ortiz's card moves. Think I'm joking, go watch him do card tricks.

I had to order a blank deck and it should be here by Friday. Just a side note: I honestly had no desire to even do this type of blank deck effect until recently, which is when I realized what I did about the deck Craig was using. TBH, it has nothing to do with Craig doing this, or the deception in his trailer, and everything to do with what I believe is a flaw with examination of the deck itself. Sorry for going off on a tangent about Craig. Pretty much everyone I voice chat with says he is a hypocrite. If your interested in talking in voice chat, I'll explain the issue I ran into with him it's actually pretty funny. BTW, everything I said in my reply about Craig, I've already told him directly. His channel has taught me several things that helped me out. Like his handling of SOCKS. I was not going to do it like the way it was taught.
I should really be doing some work, but couldn't help wanting to watch your review on Craig Petty's Quantum Deck. I really enjoyed listening to your thoughts, even the bits which I differed on. First up I haven't bought the Quantum deck and I'm not very likely to purchase it in the future. The effect is a nice one, but I'll point you in the direction of a very interesting video (comments worth reading too) regarding a different method which provides the same ACAAN with a blank deck. The nub of the matter as to whether you want to buy the deck, is do you want to perform the effect and is the price a fair one (which you cover in the video). For lots of people it seems the answer is probably more yes than no, based on the fact it sold out before it's release date. As for the Dancy - Petty bust up, I suspect Dancy has a personal agenda and many of his comments probably hold little if any substance. I mean who performs most of their magic for other magicians...I suspect most of us don't. And Petty does have many live performances on the download which show the spectator inspecting the deck. I even understand he has a section on the tutorial which shows how you can magician proof the deck if you do decide to perform for magicians. So I do get why Petty was really annoyed at Dancy, but as you say telling someone to 'Fuck off' is over the top. One can disagree assertively without being aggressive. Now for that video. That video has been coming up in my recommended feed since it was posted and I keep meaning to watch it. Well your comment was good as it finally pushed me over the line and I watched it. I must admit I really like Jay's World of magic and mystery version. I think when I have a chance to perform for some folks I will do both versions in the wild and see which one feels better for me. I do like the effect and Craig's version but Jay's seems just as good for the straight forward CAAN. Ok lets chat about Luke and Craig. Yes I couldn't agree more that Craig has the right to be pissed at Luke as Luke's statements were not accurate and is appropriate for Craig to respond to it. I just dislike the over the top response. Nice review. But. Talking about setting an example .. both my children are into magic but i will not allow them to go on the magic cafe, you cannot go more than a few posts and you feel the venom, it put me out of magic for a long time and i wont allow that to happen to them. I have kids, who are now a little older but when they were younger I would be so discouraged by the foul language that was being used on channels that were attractive to kids. I found much of their content good but I didn't like the attitude and the poor language. I am no prood but I don't want my kids being overly exposed to it. From that I made a vow that I would never curse on my channel and ensure that kids could watch it and not have their parents be concerned. Well the magic cafe is a whole nother story. Thank you for the honest and incredible review. I never got the sense that the trailer was even over the top for a magic trailer: magic trailers generally rival 1980-90s infomercials... (did the miraculous Thighmaster really change your life? Shoe-dini anyone? Do you really need a Psychic Friend?) I think you got the gist of the product and the magician reactions were genuine. As to 100% examinable, nothing with a gimmick really is. (Unless you switch out the gimmick. If you used the Quantum deck, found their card, and then did a deck switch to fully 'print' the deck--sort of the opposite of having the audience pick a card only to find it was the only printed card in the deck... then you could pass out the switched deck with impunity. But that would ratchet up the skill level quite a bit.) I totally agree that unless you are a product reviewer there is no need to be cutting edge... look at the reviews, get the big picture, and then purchase.

Fantastic review! Didn’t realize there was math involved with Quantum. Still probably going to pick it up. Imho the whole controversy has been blown out of proportion on both sides. Magic trailers and ad copy are kind of a gray are already anyways. On a different note, somehow not entirely surprised you’re a therapist. You had the demeanor of one imho. Definitely agree that this row needs to be squashed.

Well you are on to something here with another ACAAN. I honestly think if someone does an ACAAN that they already like then they are in good shape. I didn't like the math and the gimmicks but loved the idea. I came up with a version that uses no gimmicks and uses a regular double blank with no math and they can choose any number. Thinking about showing Craig but don't want to come across as disrespectful.
Hello Jonathan, I think if you have a version with a different method you should consider showing it to Lloyd Barnes over at Murphy's and see if they would be interested in releasing it. I don't know if you have released any products or not but may be worth considering. By the way I am with you on not liking math I was playing around today with the Quantum deck and just wanting to get quicker with the math equations in the middle of performance. I feel like since I am so anxious about math that when I have to do it in the middle of a performance it takes away from me being able to focus on my own performance. Mine just arrived and I see that my prediction was exact. I was a bit worried about examination, but then realized that since the deck is all double blank, as it is spreaded through, they will not see anything. But, I don't think it is worth wearing out the deck for magician examination. I will very likely work this, but I have a question. How long will the deck last in terms of performances? I really love this and practicing it, but am so nervous I am going to wear out while I am practicing it.
Hi BF. As always a good question and to be honest in not sure but since our is like an invisible deck it should last as long as your typical invisible deck. And it really depends how much you use it. For me my invisible deck last about a year with regular use. I hope that helps some. Take care.

He goes above and beyond on his releases when it comes to content and he does a great job teaching it. A lot of other really good magicians do a terrible job on their tutorials. I like your unbiased review, My 2 young sons (Both heavily into magic) used to watch Mr. Petty however his filthy language and Toxic behavior really set me off! I made sure to block his content and encouraged my children to learn new things from less toxic people (They do exist). I wish this guy would clean up his act and learn to take criticism, he even threatened me in one of his rants after I posted my displeasure of him. You must be an excellent therapist if you can fix this broken little man, I simply will not buy anything he puts out or anything with his name on it.

All trailers try to have selling points. The trailer for QD is terribly misleading as Craig used famous magicians' reactions to sell the QD. Craig: “If you were here, you could examine them.” Adam: “And that deck really is examinable?” Craig: “It’s examinable.[…] It’s genuinely just a double-blank deck of cards.” Well, it's not. It has stuff on it. Adam was fooled by Craig's dishonesty so Adam's reaction is not reliable. But hey, it helped with sales.
Hello Charmander D, I think you have nailed the most salient piece of the trailer that really burns people. Maybe Craig will do an honest trailer review of it some day. Ok just kidding on that, don't hold your breath. I will however add that I have now performed this out in the world and hand the deck to my spectator. They have no idea what they are looking at. I did however get called out for dealing down two cards as one. I just blew threw it and the ending was powerful enough and they didn't see it coming so it all seemed to go ok, but I don't want that to happen a second time. Well my friend , the negative comments from all over the place has helped no end the sales of this product. I obtained the instructions Video, where I like the method, I bought a blank deck of cards $4/£3 and made one up to save money. Hope Mr.Petty does not find my address and come round and sort me out!... as they say here in the UK.

Have to say I was disappointed with all the math aspects needed even if its somewhat simple and the moves needed for this effect after waiting so long for it. I should have held back. It is a good trick but the amount of things needed not my cup of tea but I'm sure others will like it

It’s exactly what I thought it was...it’s exactly what you think it is. Not well made and certainly not worth $40. This is in no way examinable by anyone! Kudos to Craig Petty for a great idea, but this deck will not last if you perform a lot. The hyped video and testimonials is what upsets me the most...especially the 100% examinable part. Apparently all magicians are now “for sale”. Will it fool people? Sure! Will it fool Magicians?... not unless they started magic yesterday!
Hey Brian, Thanks so much for leaving the comment. I must admit I have performed this for one of my magician friends who is very talented and performs professionally from time to time. I performed it for him several times and each time he was fooled by the method. I did eventually share the method with him and of course it becomes obvious at that point. With all of that said let us face it that I think most magicians will immediately have a sense of how it is done but most of us are performing for lay people. I think at the end of the day the thing is to ignore the hype, do not pre order and wait for others to get it and share their experience. Right now for me I am at the point of wondering how much longer the special sauce on these cards will least. I keep hearing how ALL the tutorials are worth the price. Problem with that...You have to keep buying NEW QUANTUMS when the blanks get dirty, as they invariably will. ALSO, I found Petty's use of math -- confusing.
Hey Andrew, thanks for adding your perspective. From a cost perspective I think it becomes relative. There are so many other releases around this price point that provide so little in terms of content and routines but your point about replacing the deck as it wears out is definitely accurate. My recommendation for a lot of folks is if you are going to use the type of gaff used in this release then at a certain point it just makes sense to make your own. It may take a little work before you get the right consistency that you like but it becomes significantly cheaper to do it that way. Thanks so much for being here and adding to the conversation. Hello Keith, I am so glad to see your comment as it is a great example of the diversity of opinion on what we like or don't like. I will completely agree about the hype. This release did get a lot of hype and I am not a fan of it but understand that the company's are working to generate the hype for sales. Ok with all of that said I still really like Quantum and think the value is good with the amount of content Craig includes on this. By the way I had another working professional magician take the quantum deck and reworked a new routine that he does when performing in bars and I must admit I was blown away by it and didn't even recognize that he was using Quantum. I know that might seem insane that I did not recognize that he was using Quantam deck but he had reworked the routine so much that I did not recognize it. Anyway I am babbling on now. Thanks for this clear review that - as always - covers all the bases. I think that actually the most important point you mention is about how we behave and how we represent magic. Like many, I left the Magic Café because of the toxic atmosphere there, and I'm constantly embarrassed by online spats like Craig just had. He dishes out those 'Real' reviews, where he exposes any misleading claims, so unfortunately yes he has set himself up as a target. He doesn't see that though, because he might be hard-working, but he's got a weakness when it comes to handling criticism. I've messaged him a few times, largely because of his son being so closely involved, to point out the toxicity of foul-mouthed rants and, for a little while, Craig stopped his regular rants. To me, if he or any other magicians are reading this, being a professional magician means exactly that - being _professional_ in all circumstances. This is why I watch your reviews, because even your criticism is polite and classy. Sadly the internet has promoted more toxic material, like 'fail' videos and rants, and that lines up with Craig's Achille's Heel.
Hi Goldeneddie. Thanks so much for leaving the comment. For myself I know I can be foul mothed but I have to ask myself is this the right time and place. And obviously a lot of times it is not the right time or place and therefore I just keep my mouth closed. In Craigs situation the thing that I find discouraging is his release is really solid and simply addressing the misinformation without impugning or resorting to name calling would be a better way to go. It allows for grace with the person with the incorrect information and answers any confusion people may have. In the case with both Luke and Craig, Luke will need to own his part of it that the information he provided was not accurate or if it is his opinion then to note that it is an opinion. For Craig it is about how he handles himself with other members of the community and especially with those who have a different point of view. Okay I have probably gone on too long but glad you are here and added to the conversation. I remain hopeful that these two gentleman will resolve the differences. Take Care.

Thanks Crawdini, Yes I wanted to get this review up as quick as possible. It still took a number of days just to get through the 5 hours of content from this release. Overall I really do like the effect, I find it easy to do, and will likely be using it regularly.
For me Craig is a mixed bag. I really like his releases. They have been consistently good but his anger seems to get the better of him at times when it comes to reviews. Thanks so much. I hope you are doing well.

As for the Quantum deck i don't agree with some of your opinions, of course we as magicians won't agree on everything 😅. Don't own Quantum deck, saw the trailer and immediately saw what was the basic method and the bases of it and that put me off, it's a great effect dont get me wrong but not my cup of tea. 5 hours of material that is a great thing we sometimes pay more for 30m of instructions and no gimmick.

Though I appreciate what Craig has done, I prefer using a normal blank deck with Barry Richardson’s ACAAN. Cheap, easy, and totally examinable and I’ve never been caught on the move.

I got mine recently. Craig put a lot of work into this. Not just had an idea, slapped together a tutorial and off he went. I haven't perform this yet, but excited to do so! I got the cards staring at it.. took me probably a good few minutes to get an idea on how it works, but that's just because I been doing card magic for 15 years. What I like about this is the simplicity. Blank deck. And No heavy math! Simple math, simple method. Simple premise. No knuckle busting. I wonder if Craig and Luke ever made peace yet?
Hey Sean, great to see a comment from you and hope you are doing well. You have nailed it when it comes to Craig not just slapping a product together. He genuinely takes the time to put a lot of thought and routines together and create a real value for his customers. I really respect that. As it is related to Luke Dancy, the last I heard there has been no resolve between the two. I attempted and reached out to both. Craig responded right away and was open to me mediating between the two but I never heard from Luke. Oh well, I still hold out hope.

Fair review. There are two different ways you can get busted on audience inspection, neither would be common, but they can (and no doubt will) happen, so the claims of 100% examinable and you'll be completely safe is a bit of an exaggeration (not going to explain what they are to avoid tipping the method). I also disagree with Craig on how to make extra cards/decks up, but that's also a really minor thing. I think the backlash over this isn't due to the effect it's because people think (correctly in my view) the trailer isn't 100% honest, not enough to bother commenting on usually, but as Craig makes a *HUGE* thing when others do that, many think he has made himself fair game. I really like the effect, but it won't be going into my normal set as it's a one-trick pony deck, and pocket management (and utilisation) is very important to me.
Well said! I share the same opinion. I'll just add...the trailer was intentionally deceptive to boost sales. Craig Petty deceived us with RED....He hasn't changed.

This is the exact reason I always fix the flaw in tricks, this means even when there appears to be no flaw. I not only fixed the flaw in this trick, but made the routine totally dumbfounding even to magicians. The major difference between most of these and mine is that the blank deck I use can be examined with zero gimmicks or any type of BS.
BTW Craig is a total asshat. I've had personal dealings with him.
I can't count the number of times I have to correct people that think Craig is a magician, he is not, he is a reviewer.
I've also told Craig several times he needs to stop performing card tricks on his channel and get someone who actually knows how to handle cards. This is due to him constantly revealing Darwin Ortiz's card moves.
Think I'm joking, go watch him do card tricks.

I honestly had no desire to even do this type of blank deck effect until recently, which is when I realized what I did about the deck Craig was using. TBH, it has nothing to do with Craig doing this, or the deception in his trailer, and everything to do with what I believe is a flaw with examination of the deck itself.
Sorry for going off on a tangent about Craig. Pretty much everyone I voice chat with says he is a hypocrite.

I should really be doing some work, but couldn't help wanting to watch your review on Craig Petty's Quantum Deck. I really enjoyed listening to your thoughts, even the bits which I differed on.
First up I haven't bought the Quantum deck and I'm not very likely to purchase it in the future. The effect is a nice one, but I'll point you in the direction of a very interesting video (comments worth reading too) regarding a different method which provides the same ACAAN with a blank deck.
The nub of the matter as to whether you want to buy the deck, is do you want to perform the effect and is the price a fair one (which you cover in the video). For lots of people it seems the answer is probably more yes than no, based on the fact it sold out before it's release date.
As for the Dancy - Petty bust up, I suspect Dancy has a personal agenda and many of his comments probably hold little if any substance. I mean who performs most of their magic for other magicians...I suspect most of us don't. And Petty does have many live performances on the download which show the spectator inspecting the deck. I even understand he has a section on the tutorial which shows how you can magician proof the deck if you do decide to perform for magicians.
So I do get why Petty was really annoyed at Dancy, but as you say telling someone to 'Fuck off' is over the top. One can disagree assertively without being aggressive.

Hey Martin, Hope you are dong well. Thanks for mentioning and leaving the link to the other version of essentially the same effect. That video has been coming up in my recommended feed since it was posted and I keep meaning to watch it. Well your comment was good as it finally pushed me over the line and I watched it. I must admit I really like Jay's World of magic and mystery version. I think when I have a chance to perform for some folks I will do both versions in the wild and see which one feels better for me. I do like the effect and Craig's version but Jay's seems just as good for the straight forward CAAN.
Ok lets chat about Luke and Craig. Yes I couldn't agree more that Craig has the right to be pissed at Luke as Luke's statements were not accurate and is appropriate for Craig to respond to it. I just dislike the over the top response. Craig's release is a solid one and certainly will be around for a long time.

I have kids, who are now a little older but when they were younger I would be so discouraged by the foul language that was being used on channels that were attractive to kids. I found much of their content good but I didn't like the attitude and the poor language. I am no prood but I don't want my kids being overly exposed to it. From that I made a vow that I would never curse on my channel and ensure that kids could watch it and not have their parents be concerned.
Well the magic cafe is a whole nother story. It is just a swamp of toxic waste. Best to avoid.

Thank you for the honest and incredible review. I never got the sense that the trailer was even over the top for a magic trailer: magic trailers generally rival 1980-90s infomercials... (did the miraculous Thighmaster really change your life? Shoe-dini anyone? Do you really need a Psychic Friend?) I think you got the gist of the product and the magician reactions were genuine. As to 100% examinable, nothing with a gimmick really is. (Unless you switch out the gimmick. If you used the Quantum deck, found their card, and then did a deck switch to fully 'print' the deck--sort of the opposite of having the audience pick a card only to find it was the only printed card in the deck... then you could pass out the switched deck with impunity. But that would ratchet up the skill level quite a bit.)
I totally agree that unless you are a product reviewer there is no need to be cutting edge... look at the reviews, get the big picture, and then purchase.

Fantastic review! Didn’t realize there was math involved with Quantum. Still probably going to pick it up. Imho the whole controversy has been blown out of proportion on both sides. Magic trailers and ad copy are kind of a gray are already anyways. On a different note, somehow not entirely surprised you’re a therapist. You had the demeanor of one imho. I didn't like the math and the gimmicks but loved the idea. I came up with a version that uses no gimmicks and uses a regular double blank with no math and they can choose any number. Thinking about showing Craig but don't want to come across as disrespectful.
Hello Jonathan, I think if you have a version with a different method you should consider showing it to Lloyd Barnes over at Murphy's and see if they would be interested in releasing it. I don't know if you have released any products or not but may be worth considering. By the way I am with you on not liking math I was playing around today with the Quantum deck and just wanting to get quicker with the math equations in the middle of performance. I feel like since I am so anxious about math that when I have to do it in the middle of a performance it takes away from me being able to focus on my own performance. Anyway just trying to practice and get used to quickly doing the math.

Mine just arrived and I see that my prediction was exact. I was a bit worried about examination, but then realized that since the deck is all double blank, as it is spreaded through, they will not see anything. But, I don't think it is worth wearing out the deck for magician examination. I will very likely work this, but I have a question. How long will the deck last in terms of performances? I really love this and practicing it, but am so nervous I am going to wear out while I am practicing it.
Hi BF. As always a good question and to be honest in not sure but since our is like an invisible deck it should last as long as your typical invisible deck. And it really depends how much you use it. For me my invisible deck last about a year with regular use. I hope that helps some. Take care.

I like your unbiased review, My 2 young sons (Both heavily into magic) used to watch Mr. Petty however his filthy language and Toxic behavior really set me off! I made sure to block his content and encouraged my children to learn new things from less toxic people (They do exist). I wish this guy would clean up his act and learn to take criticism, he even threatened me in one of his rants after I posted my displeasure of him. You must be an excellent therapist if you can fix this broken little man, I simply will not buy anything he puts out or anything with his name on it.

All trailers try to have selling points. The trailer for QD is terribly misleading as Craig used famous magicians' reactions to sell the QD.
Craig: “If you were here, you could examine them.”
Adam: “And that deck really is examinable?”
Craig: “It’s examinable.[…] It’s genuinely just a double-blank deck of cards.”
Well, it's not. It has stuff on it. Adam was fooled by Craig's dishonesty so Adam's reaction is not reliable. But hey, it helped with sales.
Hello Charmander D, I think you have nailed the most salient piece of the trailer that really burns people. Maybe Craig will do an honest trailer review of it some day. Ok just kidding on that, don't hold your breath. I will however add that I have now performed this out in the world and hand the deck to my spectator. They have no idea what they are looking at. I did however get called out for dealing down two cards as one. I just blew threw it and the ending was powerful enough and they didn't see it coming so it all seemed to go ok, but I don't want that to happen a second time. Hello Keith, Thanks so much for raising this question and it makes me aware that this is something I should include in all my reviews. Unfortunately mine does not have any subtitles. This is something you may want to ask Murphy's Magic or Craig Petty directly and see if they offer a version with subtitles. I hope they do. Let me know if you do hear back from them on this or if there is anyone else here in the comments who knows the answer to this.

Well my friend , the negative comments from all over the place has helped no end the sales of this product. I obtained the instructions Video, where I like the method, I bought a blank deck of cards $4/£3 and made one up to save money. Hope Mr.Petty does not find my address and come round and sort me out!... as they say here in the UK.

Have to say I was disappointed with all the math aspects needed even if its somewhat simple and the moves needed for this effect after waiting so long for it. I should have held back. It is a good trick but the amount of things needed not my cup of tea but I'm sure others will like it

I hate that moment when someone says their number and I have to fake that I'm thinking or something when in reality I am doing the math in my head and may be struggling. Not well made and certainly not worth $40. This is in no way examinable by anyone!
Kudos to Craig Petty for a great idea, but this deck will not last if you perform a lot. The hyped video and testimonials is what upsets me the most...especially the 100% examinable part. Apparently all magicians are now “for sale”.
Will it fool people? Sure! Will it fool Magicians?... not unless they started magic yesterday!
Hey Brian, Thanks so much for leaving the comment. I must admit I have performed this for one of my magician friends who is very talented and performs professionally from time to time. I performed it for him several times and each time he was fooled by the method. I did eventually share the method with him and of course it becomes obvious at that point. With all of that said let us face it that I think most magicians will immediately have a sense of how it is done but most of us are performing for lay people. I think at the end of the day the thing is to ignore the hype, do not pre order and wait for others to get it and share their experience. Right now for me I am at the point of wondering how much longer the special sauce on these cards will least. So far so good but as we all know it will wear down over time and will need to be replaced. I will likely make my own gimmick moving forward. Okay I am rambling on now. I keep hearing how ALL the tutorials are worth the price. Problem with that...You have to keep buying NEW QUANTUMS when the blanks get dirty, as they invariably will. ALSO, I found Petty's use of math -- confusing.
Hey Andrew, thanks for adding your perspective. From a cost perspective I think it becomes relative. There are so many other releases around this price point that provide so little in terms of content and routines but your point about replacing the deck as it wears out is definitely accurate. My recommendation for a lot of folks is if you are going to use the type of gaff used in this release then at a certain point it just makes sense to make your own. It may take a little work before you get the right consistency that you like but it becomes significantly cheaper to do it that way. Thanks so much for being here and adding to the conversation. Hello Keith, I am so glad to see your comment as it is a great example of the diversity of opinion on what we like or don't like. I will completely agree about the hype. This release did get a lot of hype and I am not a fan of it but understand that the company's are working to generate the hype for sales.
Ok with all of that said I still really like Quantum and think the value is good with the amount of content Craig includes on this.
By the way I had another working professional magician take the quantum deck and reworked a new routine that he does when performing in bars and I must admit I was blown away by it and didn't even recognize that he was using Quantum. I know that might seem insane that I did not recognize that he was using Quantam deck but he had reworked the routine so much that I did not recognize it.
