38:10 Haha, I love how he goes around that little mistake :D "Whispering tunes in the night, and all hopes are gone with wind". That cheeky smile afterwards.
Hansi's mic drops out in the middle of a highlight song in front of 80,000 people and he has to walk off to get another one. Band keeps going and makes it look normal. Professionals at work.
Igor Peftiev Oh I can't imagine... I really wish to feel that feeling. Maybe someday. Must be a trip of a once in a lifetime shiver down your spine about which you would be telling your grandchildren with a huge smile on your face. There. I think I just did imagine it after all. \m/
Yeaaah, im just gonna put the headphones on and put that great Blind Guardian concert in RUclips on, and do some housework... A hour and a half later, ive watched the whole thing, again. (:
What a weird question, isn't it? It's not like anyone's walking around asking people why they like pop, or why they like coca cola. lol. Some people are weird
I wasn't a fan till I heard "Fly" I remember people complaining .Saying they were selling out .when they talked about "Fly" I love that fucking song . They played a small theater here in Atlanta .In December it only cost $20 so I went down and was blown away. At one time Hansi let go of a scream. It sounded like he was standing next to me.
Yeah, people tend to give A Twist in the Myth too much shit. Yeah it wasn't another Nightfall, or even another Opera, but there are a lot of good songs on it, including Fly. However that album badly needs to remastered. That seems to be a running theme with Blind Guardian.
It's one of my very favorite songs of theirs, as is This Will Never End, Otherland, Turn the Page, Carry the Blessed Home and Skalds and Shadows. I love that album in all honesty.
He's a great bass player (Barend Courbois), listen to his work with Timo Somers and/or Vengeance! In Blind Guardian it appears that he's asked to stay out of the spotlight, more like a session musician. In 2004 he was voted best metal and all-around bass player by Guitar Player magazine.
While I love all the songs on the set, I'm a little dissapointed that they didn't play more songs from The Red Mirror. Not a single bad song on that record.
Yeah, it's easily their best album since Nightfall. However, many, if not most, of the songs from Red Mirror don't lend themselves very well to being played live.
01. The Ninth Wahve 02. The Script for My Whaquiem 03. Nightwhall 04. Why 05. Tanelorn (Into the whaid) 06. The Last whandle 07. The Whah of the Rings 08. Whahn Time Stands Still 09. Time Whah is Time 10. Imaginations from the Whather Side 11. Twilight of the Whahs 12. The Bard’s Song 13. Whah Whah 14. Whalhalla
I regret to say this but Hansi's performance has not been as good as his previous performances for the past 4-5 years. Like he is experiencing some kind of power loss of his voice. I also disliked their last album too.
Oh gosh, tell me if you agree guys, but the drummer is the less precise drummer of power metal nowadays....c'mon he does some stupid and rookie errors...
Curiously, could either of you list some, for example?? I didn't watch the whole thing but I don't know how to look for this stuff, haha. XP Honestly when I was discovering their albums I couldn't tell they switched drummers, album wise. Now I think I can hear a difference, but I would say a key thing is there seems to be less 'experimental' or 'unique' percussion parts to their songs, like a single unique thing in the album, such as the three-strike ensemble from Somewhere Far Beyond when the lyrics starting with 'The man in black' is sung, there usually was one song with a unique touch like that or something in each of the albums. But that did change with Beyond the Red Mirror.
+Alt Ermi I haven't listened to the whole thing, but I couldn't find any rookie mistakes in the fragments I checked. I used to play the drums, so I know how to spot tempo fluctuations, misstrokes, break failures, etc. The guy sounds pretty precise, tbh, perhaps he doesn't have the best strokes or dynamics around, but he's no rookie by any stretch.
Lip syncing the backing vocals can be a pain in the ass. At least they should make it look real. The dude on the rght couldn't be more fake. Other than that, it's a great show.
Do you think they were playing it from tape? The studio version of Beyond The Red Mirror is recorded with 3 choirs! They are doing a great job with the backing vocals live, and Marcus does most of it.
If you actually knew anything about how music works aside from just how to play a guitar like any other jackoff, they're mostly singing the leading and dominant tones (and basically any note that cuts through to the mix to make a nice harmony) on top of the pre-recorded choir parts, which I might add that there are - on almost everything since A Night At The Opera - at least two or three full-sized choirs singing. I bet you're also the kind of guy who shits on pitch-correction/Auto-Tune without actually knowing how it works too, aren't you?
I don't need crap like auto tune or pitch correction because I do my homework. And I'm not a smartass who doesn't have a picture on the internet and hides behind an alias.

Best band ever! \m/
Goosebumps every time when they play Wacken and 80 thousand people sing "The Bard's Song".
Imagine, how it was like being inside of this eighty thousand! Really emotional song, especially when sang by dedicated fans
Igor Peftiev
Oh I can't imagine... I really wish to feel that feeling. Maybe someday. Must be a trip of a once in a lifetime shiver down your spine about which you would be telling your grandchildren with a huge smile on your face. There. I think I just did imagine it after all. \m/
Too both of you I was their and even I can't imagine it after almost one year :p
If I was 20 years younger, I would to go to Wacken. But at 42, I think I'll just stick to RUclips :)
lots of peole of your age are at wacken
Yeaaah, im just gonna put the headphones on and put that great Blind Guardian concert in RUclips on, and do some housework...

Marcus looks so badass on stage ;)
left or right ?^?^
When people asks me why I like metal I show them this band. Most of the time they start liking metal too.
That's the power of Blind Guardian
ha ha nice one
What a weird question, isn't it? It's not like anyone's walking around asking people why they like pop, or why they like coca cola. lol. Some people are weird

It's one of my very favorite songs of theirs, as is This Will Never End, Otherland, Turn the Page, Carry the Blessed Home and Skalds and Shadows. I love that album in all honesty.

Hansi is a fucking great vocalist
Man, the bass player looks like a local they just pulled into the show.
I alwas think that is Yngwiin Malmsteen on the bass kkkkk
While I love all the songs on the set, I'm a little dissapointed that they didn't play more songs from The Red Mirror. Not a single bad song on that record.
thats true, my favourite is the throne:D sacred mind is really good too tho
Yeah, it's easily their best album since Nightfall. However, many, if not most, of the songs from Red Mirror don't lend themselves very well to being played live.

Hansi looks like Moriarty from Sherlock Holmes serial :)

Wonderful performance overall though, as usual.
Fucking awesome
Клёвый концерт \m/
Dim0nъ V. No one knows russian
At first I didn't want to like BG because of naming that one albulm "Night at the Opera. Really"?But I got over it.
Old fast songs are good!
HEAVY METAL
Power Metal
Progressive vegan slamcore.
heavy black horses
richtig süss mit den rosa Bändchen...
Hansi looks like Ash from Evil Dead :D
evil deadDDDDDDDD HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA
Brasileiro tambem aprecia uma boa musica...
Igor Vidal Blind é sensacional, apesar de pouco ouvido por aqui.
Igor Vidal melhor banda 👌👏🙏
Valhalla! Die Leberwurst!
this needs more upvotes
Ok, I'm really new to this band and I like what I see and hear. Can a hardcore fan give me the break down of this band and albums, etc...
Basically there are people, and then there are gods and Blind Guardian
Their a power metal band, later albums after about 1998 (Nightfall In Middle Earth) are more progressive sounding.
quit blind, listen to running they give you more
Respect to Hansi for cutting his hair!
I would prefer if they ended the show with Mirror Mirror.
Hansi looks like Killgrave [Jessica Jones].
sounding great, but I feel sorry for BG never changes the setlist. Always the same classics plus new songs.
Glaub ich war mal ganz früher am Anfang im Proberaum bei denen !?
Das is aber schon lange her:D
The Ninth Wave is a pretty good song, but definitely not the best opener.
Unschlagbar! 100
Wacken last year was so much better than this year.
El publico está muerto o vivo?
die backgroundsänger hört man ja gar nicht :D :D :D
1:31:15 Ele disse "Obrigado"?
João Augusto ele disse em várias línguas
7:04 NEIN, NEIN, NEIN
Hansi Kürsh.
Frontman of Blind Guardian.
Voice of the Dark Lord.
Voice of the Valar. The Bard of Valinor.
Is the crowd asleep?
who killed the crowd? #lame
didn't know they played 7 strings guitar, they are quite modern..
bellissima la rgd del chitarrista, ottima scelta
Wie Porsche oder Mercedes
Made in Germany
i really love the song twighlight of the gods, but it doesnt sound very good live....
i like B.G.ees a lot. the only side i don't like is the over using of whah of that guitarist
Frederic is still rookie altough he is together with band last 12 years. He haven't his own style.
What a bunch of CHEESE!
I regret to say this but Hansi's performance has not been as good as his previous performances for the past 4-5 years. Like he is experiencing some kind of power loss of his voice. I also disliked their last album too.
Why 👏 do 👏 they 👏 keep 👏 playing 👏 fly
why
WHY.
I love them so much, BUT WHY
horrible se nota la falta de esfuerzo, el hellfest 2016 estuvo mucho mejor
Supongo que estuvo allá
Oh gosh, tell me if you agree guys, but the drummer is the less precise drummer of power metal nowadays....c'mon he does some stupid and rookie errors...
Longtime drummer left in 05. I agree the new guy is not up to standard. Hansi, Andre, and Marcus set a pretty high standard of musicianship
Curiously, could either of you list some, for example?? I didn't watch the whole thing but I don't know how to look for this stuff, haha. XP

It's just you, bro.
no, no it's you . cousin
Lip syncing the backing vocals can be a pain in the ass. At least they should make it look real. The dude on the rght couldn't be more fake.
Other than that, it's a great show.

lifeless concert , no energy , they need to retire...
Dugi Devet No that's ok, I'd rather they play a little more. What do you think bud? Here have one of my beers, and don't say words.
