DNC kicks off today: Delegates from across the country will gather in Chicago for the opening day of the Democratic National Convention, where the party’s historic presidential nominee, Kamala Harris, and her running mate, Tim Walz, will outline their vision for the country and how they plan to defeat Donald Trump in November.
Tonight’s big speakers: Harris is expected to make her first appearance after President Joe Biden delivers a primetime speech that highlights his administration’s achievements and makes the case for Harris. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is also set to speak tonight.
