      @@B01afaik there's a study of germination with h2o2.
Also, most knowledge is devised from basic plant knowledge.

@@mb2776 h202 kills off a huge amount of the seeds microbes. Plants bring with them from seed a microbiome of up to 9 billion microbes inside and on the seed surfaces. Using h202 is a sureshot way to remove many of them.

This has got to be the most awesome germination video I have ever seen.. So detailed.. Terminology I never knew existed.. Tbh tho, I don't really care for the paper towel part tho.. Everything else is the way I do it.. I float the seeds for about 12-24 hours.. They have already sunk and in some cases cracked open. I like to put the cup(s) on top of my light's driver.. GREAT source of heat for germinating.. I then put the girlie straight into the medium.. Putting a clear cup over her for the humidity dome.. But I rather just put them straight into medium after floating, sinking and cracking open (usually about 24 hours or less).. Due to the tails going all crazy and easily breakable.. And root hairs getting caught in the paper towel.. But this is awesome, grow bro! Thank you for sharing! Can't wait to see the next video!!! 🌱🌿🌲🌼🔥💨👍 love the website.. I will ALWAYS grow in coco/perlite, fabric pots, hydroponic nutes.. It's BY far the easiest, most forgiving way to grow.. Although, I am not able to use frequent fertigation.. I MOSTLY water once a day.. Sometimes every 2 days.. So I have to implement water, feed, water, feed, etc. to avoid salt build-ups.. I prefer watering by hand because I fucking love these ladies and cant help but want to do something to help them at least once a day 😂😂😂... So automated wont work for me.. I need my daily fix.. I would like to try coco, worm poo and some organic amendment line.. But organics makes me a bit nervous.. When do I do teas? And can I even grow organically if my tap water is at 250 PPM and it contains the "non-chlorine" bs, chloramine or whatever?? I hate that so much.. Is it even possible to remove the chloramine (or whatever) without using a wasteful RO system? Its like it takes 3 gallons to make 1 gallon of clean water.. The fuck? No thanks.. We are already being charged once for the water coming into the house... And once for the water leaving the house... Thay just sounds like a kindergartener made it up.. Smh.. Anyways.. Long ass comment lol.. Sorry.. I am a little sToNeD...

In "Stage1", sparging + beneficiaal fungi or phytohormones helps a lot with floating seed problem and softening seed shell, plus it increase level of O² in water and prevent anaerobic organisms reproduction in water. With this method, i sprouted tomato seeds that expired 10 years ago. If you have weak aerator, just use it. Sorry for bad English.

That's the thing with seeds, you want them all to pop, the cost I'm finding is crazy for 80% success, I've reached out to company and did get replacement seeds ,anyone else agree that the cost is high?

    • @shaneburnett380
      @shaneburnett380 2 года назад

@Rick Goodman you can't compare a clone to a seed! The cost is only a part of it ,if you have a space that you want filled ,,well you need all the seeds to at least pop in order to fill your canopy!

Considering the work breeders put in and the value of the plant, I think seeds are cheap. One seed can potentially pay for your entire grow and a pile of seeds. If you know how to do it. It takes years to stabilize strains.

i found using a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in a little bit of water works great! Using the wet paper towel method here btw. If you wanna boost the germ rate even more I use a very very very small bit of humic and fulvic acid and a tiny bit of kelp into the water. Then add in a tiny aloe leaf and blend that all up. Then filter the liquid gold into a other cup and then soak the paper towel in it for a good 10 secs. All the hormones in them will make that tap root pop out like nothing in under 3 days! Usually see the tap root withen a day or two

I know this is an old video
Question- I germinated and sprouted seeds but the soil I had them in was not loamy and seemed to be suffocating them.
I moved them into HP Promix last night and solo cups. When I was transplanting them , I made sure to get the root out of the older soil so that it can be touching the HP promix instead.
Anyone have experience with this and it positively impacting growth?
If not- all good - I will just stat some new seeds up- I ordered 25 of them so this is only like 6 of them that are potentially stunted. I am going to give it a few days to bounce back and for the seedlings to start growing rapidly and showing some progress. If no progress in a week - I will try with some new ones and follow this method above.
Thanks for the video! Definitely helpful and educational.

I trusted your science until you told people to set their heat mat on Fahrenheit :C
jk, best germination guide out there, and I looked a bunch! New sub!
ps: I am convinced now that my issues originate from mainly the lack of peat during transfer. Last winter I failed I thought I could blame the lack of heat but now it's super hot and I failed another batch, but it was too dry. I believe peat would have shielded it a bit more. I do wonder where this leaves liquid mycorrhizae though, can we use too much? I usually use it starting from the soak, because it's a fungi technically that binds directly with the root tissue so it doesn't need the soil environment or photosynthesis to do its job, but now I wonder if it can stun them if using it too early by idk, maybe pumping energy out of the seedling before it can sustain the energy demand until it has leaves.

H202 is used by some for added o2 in case the radicle exposes it combats against "drowning" from lack of aerobic transpiration. But it's not necessary..I use plain tap. There's a fine line between adding oxygen and frying the embryonic root. It's for this reason I never recommended this course. Grower love

So I bought 420 Fast buds seeds and was amped for my first grow. Started all 5 and all 5 died. 2 never came up once they popped in water and were moved to solo cups. The other 3 sort of came up but died within 24 hours. Discouraged and back to the drawing board feeling a little defeated. Frustrated one day I joked with my wife and put 2 seeds from an old bag that nobody would grow and well... I intentionally did EVERYTHING wrong. Poked the holes in the soil with a wanky old paint brush covered in toxic paint, buried the seeds waaay too deep and totally saturated the soil leaving it waterlogged. I then took them and put them in a west facing window (I live in upstate NY where it is currently a snuggly 26°) and left them there with the freezing draft from the 100 year old window literally on the cups and walked away after giving them the finger. A few days later... GERMINMUTHAFAKINATION!!!! I give up.

Fastbuds seeds are so sensitive it’s crazy. I germinated 6, all the same strain conditions etc. All 6 were totally different in vitality ranging from almost dead/limp or crispy to okayish but still pale wishywashy shades of green. Chose the best 3 and moved through the cycle. It’s not till mid veg before they pick up. I think it’s the auto flower genetics that makes them rather sensitive. I just don’t understand the variation when all receive the same treatment… anywho rant over.
