Love the is300, I just bought an 03 five speed as my second car, my first being an 85 mr2, so seeing it in the perspective of an 86 driver was pretty similar to how I felt getting into an early 2000's Lexus after always driving an 80's Toyota
If you turbo the car you have to be kinda carefull, because the factory NA 2jz´s dont have the oil squirters under the pistons. You probably know this already though

I've had 2 autos and 2 manuals. I decided to stick with the auto for now until I find my 5th IS300 lol. I like that I can just slap a kit onto the auto and not having to worry as much about the transmission blowing up. The W55 is basically glass.

@dj get the TechnoToyTuning 86 brake booster delete kit (comes with a larger master cylinder to compensate) and then just don't frick with the brakes anymore

I just got rid of my 5 speed is300 for 8k clean title 153 k miles on coilovers and real 3 piece wheels and picked up another clean title but automatic:( paid 3,500$ and used the rest to pay off some student loans! Still currently in school but financial aid now covers tuition, at least I'm out of debt 🙏🏼 and still drive an is300

See I'm lucky, a 04 murano came in to my dads shop and the owner didn't want to fix it so he sold it to us for $400 and it turns out there was a paper towel stuck in the throttle body. Made the engine knock so the airfield dropped so bad. Removed it and it's perfect. Could flip for 4k ish but it's my daily.
I used to use a Fm adapter and it ended up being complete shit so i bought a cassette tape with a Aux cord coming out and it works perfect so far. I wish i could drive stick, if i could i would drive something like the IS300, shes beautiful.
