Sam does a great job flying this fixed pitch RC heli. He has flown a few drones but not a heli and he certainly did a good job after a few seconds of learning how it was controlled. Contrary to what I said, this little heli does have an Optical Flow Sensor that tries to prevent you from slamming it into the ground !
No assembly required for this heli. Just take out a smart battery from the box and charge it up using the provided USB cable. You will find another smart battery inside the helicopter.
Follow the instructions for binding the transmitter to the helicopter and for starting the rotors. Then apply a little throttle to get airborne. In a wide open space this RC helicopter would be easy for even a first timer to fly and should you have an 'arrival' it is unlikely to break. It even has a button for take off and landing automatically and a speed button to change the sensitivity of control to one of three levels. It's a great looking semi scale helicopter and once mastered will give you the confidence to try flying a full collective pitch RC helicopter.

Optical flow is underneath and prevents drift, there's a barometer for height as far as I'm aware. Good wnirlybird😊

Looks good but a word of caution.. Small fixed pitch helicopters don't work well in anything other than very calm conditions. The wind tends to lift them and they are hard to get down in a controlled manner. Like your helipad.. Let me know if you want me to break it in for you 😁
Wise words. Where we were flying was quite protected by trees but yeah, these little helis do get affected by light wind...which might make it more fun for some !

Looks like it visually, yes. Doesn't mean it will fly in the same way.
@@EssentialRC very much considering to buy one. Can I change from mode 1 to mode 2 via the transmitter or do I need to choose before buying? Been a while since I last flew a heli, I'm used to left stick raise and drop, rudder and right stick all tilt controls, can't remember which is which, hence why I asked.

You need to choose Mode 1 or 2 when you buy it.
@@8BitPastawhen you turning on the transmitter press the take off -landing button at same time and it changes modes. It restartes to default each time you turn off the controller 🎮.
